Also, Tate could have possibly ask his uncle Paul if he wanted kids because it seems like he and Andrew would have adopted Sophia's baby if the option was given.  Amy probably wouldn't have approved, but it would be relatable as Paul is half Asian as well so he would have some cultural understanding for Baby T.

Another story opportunity for Paul and Andrew 😂

It really is too bad that we can't get them both full time.

Was Belle's argument with Sami meant to signal the final nail in the EJ/Belle coffin—clearing the path for EJ to pivot toward Cat?  I'm disappointed that's over so soon.  But, I don't think Chad and Belle could make for a classic DAYS quad with Cat and EJ.  It simply must be a triangle.

Poor Belle. Her romantic prospects are a genealogical minefield. Practically everyone’s either a blood relative or an in-law. Imagine the chaos of a Belle/Tony/Anna triangle. Or JJ, who’s always had a soft spot for older women—could he be her wildcard?

It bears repeating: these actors are absolutely luminous. Jen looked phenomenal in that dress. Sami’s print was gorgeous, and the styling gave a subtle nod to her European polish. Cat’s accessories were questionable, but the overall effect was still effortlessly chic.

I won’t wade into the recast/return swamp, but are we really supposed to believe Johnny and Sami communicate so infrequently that he didn’t know she was getting engaged? I get that Johnny and EJ are estranged. But Johnny, Allie, Eric, and Sami not having a twin-power group chat? That’s a bridge too far.  I don't know why, because we've never seen it on-screen, but I imagine Sami having very loose boundaries with her kids about her dating life.  Given that they saw so much of it.

And for the record, rumors about my age have been vastly exaggerated. Sure, I watched one of Bo and Hope’s wedding live. But it is not like I was around for Julie's arrest for shoplifting.  However, I all respect all opinions, regardless.

I soooo wish we had Paul and Andrew first time. Although, I had a crush on Paul from day one. It would be interesting to bring them on full-time and Will as a possible spoiler. That could be hot!

Sami vs Belle was fun. Is Belle still not over Sami trying to sell her when she was  baby? LOL.  That being said, I was never the biggest Sami fan, but she adds something to the show that has been very hard for them to replace. She's another I wish would stick around or do another long arc as she's done before.

I really hope EJ/Gwen aren't bringing someone else back from the dead.

Sami unleashed Jan Spears on Belle & Shawn again when she got Jan sprung from the institution to testify against Nicole in... 2020? Whenever they were all arguing over Allie's baby, I think. That reignited the Belle/Sami animosity. Then Sami caught EJ & Belle in bed together, and it's been like this since.

Returns every day this week!

Welcome back, Steven!

Even though I’m not sure if there’s a place for him on the canvas at the moment, it’s great to see Stephen Schnetzer on a soap again. He and Susan Seaforth Hayes work well together. She also works well with Roark Critchlow. It was nice to see their family connection on display today. And, we got updates about Doug III, and Robin!

But yeah, somebody needs to tell Eli that Tom is his great-great grandfather, not great grandfather 😂😂

It was also good to see Sarah finally be included in the celebrations as well. And to see all three of Bill’s children share scenes together. I can’t even remember the last time that happened lol and I liked that Lucas used his own history with Will as a way of cautioning Jennifer about seeking custody of Thomas and Charlotte. Mike remembering the gift that Carrie gave him when he became Chief of Staff at the hospital was a nice throwback too. And, Marie, Julie and Maggie’s speeches about Tom and the hospital and Jennifer’s slideshow, with the flashbacks we got during it, were the icing on the cake.

Overall, and despite the obvious budget issues when it came to the gala, I thought this was a great week. And a huge improvement over the 50th anniversary celebrations. It was a great way to honor Days, its families, characters and history and also to move some of the current storylines along. And despite me not being the biggest fan of some of the current storylines, this all has me looking forward to seeing it all play out and finding out what’s going to happen.

And hopefully, we’ll get some follow up with Marlena, and Kristen too, on Monday 😂

A Will/Sonny/Paul/Andrew quad, with Dimitri thrown in to make it even messier is one of my dream storylines 😂😂

It really is too bad that the writers seemed to have closed the book on Will/Paul though. They’re family now 😂

As nice as the flashbacks are ,it points out that at some point the Hortons were devalued.

Steve and Sandy and then their children should have been in the mix along the way. David Banning should have had more of a presence etc.

Wish Lisa Trusel had have been included.

Kudos to Deidre, Suzanne and Susan - they really are the heart and history of Days. And Marie Horton popping in is always such a treat. She’s the last of the original Hortons, and it’s so special every time she shows up.

I think that point was the early 80s, starting with the St. Valentines Day Massacre and ending with Pat Falken Smith’s second run and the arrival of the Brady’s and Dimera’s.

In the long run, I think it worked out but I also think that there was plenty of storyline left for every Horton that got written out, particularly Bill and Laura.

And, I also think that it worked out for Stephen Schnetzer too 😂

It would've been awesome to see her.

I wonder if Bo and Hope not being included was a budget or timing thing.

The flashbacks in today's show actually got me emotional. Well done DAYS!! While some of the week was boring this was the 1st week I watched all 5 episodes daily in month and months.

Watched back-to-back episodes early this morning with Thursday and Friday's episodes.

i enjoyed Thursday episode more than Friday's episode for obvious reasons.

I just hate the taping schedule where half of the returns are on one episode and the others in another episode.

The Gala celebration just felt so disjointed.

Lani was supposedly getting drinks but never appeared at the Gala.

Where was Kate and mumbles? Why weren't they at the Gala?

Weren't Paul and Andrew supposed to appear in today's episode too?

Overall the Gala celebration was a miss.

Not sure I'll continue watching on Monday..

I was missing Arianna, JJ, and Jeremy today. I also felt, though it was wonderful to see Sarah amongst the Hortons, she never really had a scene talking with any of them. I like to think in the very beginning when she was seen with Jennifer that they were reminiscing about that infamous Horton rap performance! Not having Sarah at least have a scene with Mike was a huge let down for me.

The ending seemed so out of place, they should have shoved it to the end of Wednesday's episode. And, as usual, Jackée was woeful. Paulina needs to go!

Still, wonderful moments from Bill's children today. Lucas calling Mike his favourite brother made me seriously think if that was true. I came to the conclusion, that at this point, sure, why not? I couldn't help but notice he didn't say Jennifer was his favourite sister though? Considering their "intimate" history, and since he's been single a long time, maybe he's thinking it's Cassie lol

Both the Will shooting EJ reference and the custody war over him were used so smartly yesterday and today. If I was a fan of Chandler Massey it would make me want Will back, but I'm much happier to give other Hortons a chance to shine.

The flashbacks used were a great understated way to give us a shout out to Carrie, and especially felt like mini Neil Curtis tribute with the back to back flashbacks of him being the doctor that helped birth Sarah and Stephanie.

Regarding those flashbacks about reading the Christmas story, Jennifer looked like she was going through a goth phase and Mike's hair rivaled that of Siegfried and Roy. I also think, if this is the last we ever see of Bill and Laura, it's wonderful that it was under the Ed Mallory and Susan Flannery iterations of the characters.

Sometimes when people were speaking at the podium, the camera going back and forth seemed a little amatuer and almost made me nauseous as if I were at sea.

But all in all, I really did love this 60th celebration. I hope the for best for this show, my show, for the next 60 years and beyond, all the days of our lives!

1. Predictions & Payoffs
My prediction record stands at 3:1 wrong-to-right—not exactly Vegas odds. I was sure Kristen would be the one in Gwen’s mystery box, so I was pleasantly surprised when the show zigged instead of zagged. Hot take: the Dimeras were introduced forty years ago, the show’s been running sixty, and at this point they’re not just villains—they’re a core family. Which makes me wonder if we’re finally getting closure on Stefan (and Dimitri). Gabi’s romantic credibility has been stuck in limbo, because as long as Dimitri is technically alive, I’m always waiting for him to reappear… though not holding my breath.

2. Forgotten Connections
Raise your hand if you honestly remembered Doug3 and Jeremy’s tie through Robin and Robert LeClair. Exactly. A missed opportunity. Doug3 could’ve reopened the bistro in honor of his great-uncle, giving us a legacy callback instead of another dangling thread.

3. Wardrobe Notes
I’m fine with Doc’s blazers as her signature flourish, but brass buttons are not chic. And Maggie’s frilly blouses? They make her look like Alexander Hamilton auditioning for a revival tour. Someone please raid her closet.

4. EJ Wins the Week
EJ is both evil and perpetually unlucky in love. Put him at the center of the party, and suddenly we’re reminded he’s kissed Gabi, Belle, and half the women in the room. His scenes with Kayla are gold—antagonistic chemistry at its finest.

But here’s the kicker: after the longest shutdown in U.S. history, it’s EJ who steps up with a plan to provide free healthcare for the masses. The irony is delicious. The ISA, FBI, and whatever alphabet soup Eli works for start looking like the villains, while the “evil” Dimera plot results in better access to medicine. Imagine that: Salem’s most notorious family underwriting universal healthcare.

It’s the perfect soap twist—when the devil you know turns out to be the only one willing to pick up the hospital bill.
