Lol!  When I read this I assume it's about Frank and his favorites and all that nonsense. I also feel it's a little shady to the cast.  SOME people can be happy there, but I wouldn't sell my soul to work there like them.  NO judgment though!!! I am not sure that was his intention, but that's how I took it.

I don't doubt the veracity of CM's statements and believe that's how he felt.  I also believe GH is a toxic environment from what we have heard.   I am the first person to say get rid of Frank.

I just imagine Charles trying to start some sort of cast mutiny, all distinguished and serious, talking about personal integrity, and the rest of the cast being "Yeah, sorry Chuck, we have bills to pay so we deal with it" lol.

I wonder if CM showed up with a long primetime resume expecting to be a bigger deal on GH than he was ever going to be, then ran into the Mo/Steve wall as everyone does.

Since he signed on as recurring I am not sure what he would expect.  He was then offered a contract, so that's implied his work was well received.  Idk, if he thought the contract would be more and was disappointed, but he signed it too?  So, I don't think GH overpromised and underdelivered because on paper it doesn't appear like that.   Perhaps he thought a contract would give Brennan more prominence, but to be fair, he didn't really stay long enough to find out.  As we can see from current Brennan, Mesure was probably correct though.

I'm reminded of when Randolph Mantooth joined GH, after primetime success and also being happy with his time at Loving, and he just hated it. Different circumstances, different producers, obviously, but the show just isn't for everyone.

Well Randy hated Wendy Riche. It's in an interview from the television academy

I got pre-empted for two different reasons today, but I saw Sonny with Ronnie at Kelly's and feel like I should just call today a loss and not rewatch lol.

I liked CM as Brennan, but this ain't it. Neither are his other posts referencing the "backstage politics."

I love tea, but I side-eye this. Hey, Charles,

-- "Many of my colleagues"? Which ones? How many?

-- Does that mean some colleagues are unhappy? Which ones? How many?

-- The "GH environment"? What the hell is that? Got even one specific?

-- These "backstage politics" that were so "disturbing and unprecedented" and "damaging to the work." Got an example? Any specifics at all?

-- Why were you so involved in all of this backstage stuff? Were people yelling so often and so loudly that you couldn't miss the arguments? Were hands thrown? Did writers show up and argue with Frank while scenes were being taped?

You get my point. Mesure gives us enough so we can call it juicy tea while essentially saying nothing. I honestly think he should keep his mouth shut.

Listen, I love his shady little comments that say almost nothing at all 9 months after the fact.  When everyone has moved on.  I believe there's toxicity at GH in multiple different areas. Again, I don't doubt it was difficult for him.

What I can't understand is why he signed a contract after being recurring then bailed.  Was he not aware of the vibe of the set before?  Was he forced to sign or be replaced?  Is it better to just leave almost immediately than finish out your duties?  Why speak out now and not then?

I am sure we will never know, but I would like to thank CM for making a dull GH week a little better.
