I lived through the first month or two of Passions in real time. This show's first year has been light work by comparison.

Anyone who lived through even a week of that show deserves reparations.

I refused to watch that show because it replaced AW which was my show! AW still had so much life left and with that much talent in the cast there was no reason for the ratings to be so bad. It needed a proper writer that was allowed to write without being pulled 3 months later.

But I digress...

Three BTG things making a big difference are Hayley's con, Andre's possible past revelations, and the possibilities with Izaiah on the canvas. Big improvements that have given the show a shot in the arm. Will only help the show.

Surely that's not all we're getting out of this Ridge character?  That didn't seem worth it, if so. Other than, personally, seeing Cady/TK in scene together again after all these years.

The Devon, and now Ridge, crossover have done nothing. I'm not sure why the show bothers. I think crossovers only work if a character is given a full story arc. Something for viewers to invest in.

Really great Dani/Joey scenes today as are the Vanessa/Donnell ones. Casting hit it on the mark with Donnell.

Agree, I'm enjoying the Dani/Joey scenes. Dani is looking out for Vanessa, but it's clear these two have an established understanding of each other's history and place in this town.

Loving that we're getting some background on Madison too, makes me care more about her.

Who's gonna be Madison's mom? Debbi Morgan? Victoria Rowell? lol let the speculation begin.

It would be fun for a name casting even if for a short run, but no, I'm not expecting it.

While I personally would have liked if they had hinted at Hayley's deception a little more heavily without still giving it away in the earlier episodes, I do believe this was planned from the beginning. I always thought that Hayley's acting choices felt like she was "acting" if that makes sense. There was always something about the way she behaved around Bill and I always felt that about the actress. Every time she was being cute or sensual with Bill it felt like a wife trying to play her man with sex. At the time, I thought Hayley was codidn't think Hayley was going to turn into some Killer Mistress tho. Yet, now that we had the reveal, her choices make sense.

I agree. They all have builds to them, giving all kinds of intrigues.

  • Aw yay! Chelsea and Madison! I have missed seeing them both.
  • Vanessa is wasting no time getting Donnell out of Fairmont Crest and back to college, and he is not buying it.
  • Oh, it is about to be Dani versus Joey in regards to Vanessa. Here we go.
  • Micro-retirement? This must be hip, new lingo with the youngsters or in the new social media era of TicTac, because I have never heard of it.
  • Some Madison backstory is coming into play... a possible arrival coming soon? That could be fun!
  • Omg, the continued back-and-forth banter between Dani and Joey is hilarious. They can handle going toe-to-toe.
  • Derek is going to do some considerable damage to the improvements he has made. And of course he will continue to hide it from Ashley, because he knows he will lose her to her true love: Andre.
  • Not Jacob downing his beer while Ashley and Naomi start wedding talking (at the hands of Derek)... and Izaiah walking in and spying on them. How interesting.
  • Willow Montgomery? Interesting. And it is a shame that her impulses have caused Madison's professional career to take the hits it has. That is so unfortunate. Chelsea... do not do this. That is not cute.
  • The tension between Jacob and Naomi is tense. So tense it could be cut with a butter knife.
  • Vanessa is a smart business woman. She knows how to make businesses work for her benefit and the benefits of others.
  • Chelsea. You are making the wrong decision. Do not do this. Please.

Notes:

  • Aw, it is the last time we will see the Television City edit of the Forrester office. I feel like it might be the first time in daytime soaps we are seeing two different edits of the same set on the same day on two different soaps, no?
  • More post-production changes! Less green (which makes me so happy). If this is due to the incoming arrival of Tracey Thomson, then thank you, Ms Thomson! It makes me happy.
  • The dialogue is smart today; Brown has such a sharp way with words. Definitely a strong scriptwriter.
