Derrick better not go down the trope of pretending he can't walk just to keep Ashley at his side. Done too many times and will tarnish Derrick as "the good guy".

  • Why does the deadbeat have a bag? No. Walk back out of the door. Please.
  • Bare Minimum Boulevard? Too Little, Too Late, Lane? Omg, these reads are hilarious! He is being read for filthhhhhh.
  • Allison is beyond bat-crap insane! And thankfully, Chelsea, Jacob, and Madison are beginning to see this for themselves.
  • NOT BETTING ON THIS! That is hilarious... beyond hilarious. But money does speak.
  • Bradley, come on. I know you are likely horned up and deprived... but that sob story from the deadbeat cannot possibly win you over.
  • Oh, Ted is really proving some points. He is calling out the Duprees.
  • Chelsea is spiralling, and it is expected, especially after a traumatic event like the one she has endured at the hands of Allison.
  • "You humming? Annoying. You whistling? Annoying? You? Extremely annoying!"
  • AIN'T NO WAY THIS BITCH GOT NAOMI AS HER ATTORNEY?! OH, THAT IS BEYOND MESSED UP!!
  • Kick his ass out, Bradley! You got some goodies; now you can go back to being by yourself and finding yourself a man of your own.
  • Get her, Naomi! Those Dupree Hamilton sisters are strong! And they will fight for each other. Love it. Poor Jacob, though.
  • The fact that deadbeat is so assumptive of things and then has the audacity to say he has kept his vows to Bradley is laughable. Beyond laughable.
  • The Duprees see what is happening between Bill and Dani, and Bill is sensing it, too. You both belong together.

Notes:

  • Brianna Roberts (Allison) continues to play her role and the scripted material so well; she goes from one high to another so effortlessly. She is nailing this.
  • Brandon Claybon (Martin) is very slowly improving; he is still stiff as a board, but not needing to play heavy material is better for him.
  • I will say: this soap knows how to film love scenes. Really intimate when they need to be, and really spicy when those need to be.
  • I applaud Michele Val Jean for telling this story in regard to social media; it is a topical story for today's audience, and that is what we need from soaps today.
  • RhonniRose Mantilla (Chelsea) continues to show up day after day with this social media storyline. She is finding her groove, and it is so nice to see.
  • Christmas is inching closer and closer, which means Timon Kyle Durrett (Bill) and Karla Mosley (Dani) are inching closer to being reunited, as I suspect.

I have been enjoying this week thoroughly.

I think we just witnessed Ted about to enter his villian era. I did laugh at the bet. Thats my family all day. I thought Keith fantastic today.

I really love how this kidnapping story has turned into a topical one about the dangers of social media. And to think they hinted about when Smitty briefly mentioned many months ago.

Speaking of that was such a shitty thing he did to Martin today. So much for goody two shoes lol.

I hope this  isn't the last of Allison.

Each of the Duprees, one by one, said they were betting Nicole vs Ted, and they each said their money was on Nicole.
Nobody bet on Ted.

I missed a few words but I *think* that's the gist of it?
Curious if there was more.
I watched live.  Will watch again on Pplus later.

Yes that was pretty much the gist of it. All of there bets were low and then Ted pulled the big bill for himself and unleashed on Bill and the Duprees.

I don't understand why Smitty agreed to sleep with Martin in the first place if he was going to reject him right after. He would've been better off saying no. And I still think they need to divorce and date other people for a while.

My guess is Smitty really wanted to get boinked!

I really don't care what happens with them when the writing is so awful.

I was looking for this comment. I didn't feel bad for Ted at all. Yes, the Duprees are insufferable in their holier than thou act, but Ted did one good deed and sudeenly he runs to get the Dupree's approval. Did Ted think the family was going to tell Nicole to take him back just for that? He created this whole mess to begin with. The man didn't even have the decency to show up or send his sympathies while his niece was missing, but he had the audacity to show face in the aftermath not to support the family but to make sure they knew what he did. One good act doesn't dismiss an affair and love child. It's like we saw glimmers of old Ted when he played with Lesile, but he reverted right back to a little punk when he ran to the Duprees like a giddy school boy.

Also, very confused by Eva. Yes, Leslie is her mama, but she knew that Leslie wanted that house just because it was across the street from the Duprees. I agree that Leslie should be able to live where she wants without anyone gatekeeping, but girl!!!! this is not that. Was what Ted did mean? Yeah. But Leslie is crazy. Eva herself hates the way that she upended Ted and Nicole's lives. Not that the Duprees and Bill are good people, but Leslie isn't suddenly a saint because someone played in her face like she does so well. I thought Eva was smarter than that.

of course they’re going to go there. it’s an oldie but goodie. i remember craig montgomery faking so he could stay married to betsy — back when meg ryan was playing betsy.

what i was really hoping was that they’d ship him off to rehab and ashley would go with him. oh well.

I was hoping for a little bit more for Martin and Smitty's first love scene...  but I admit, those kisses were hot

But I am not sure at all about Smitty's decision to continue to keep Martin out of their bedroom. If this is meant to make Smitty the bad guy or something, it's definitely not going to work.

Mike Manning killed it again though.

And I was completely Team Ted today. This is the most impressed I've been by Keith Robinson since he came on, and I hope that those scenes today have an effect on storylines.

    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton practically twirling his moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?

    • Thanks for asking that!  Back when we had another major event upcoming (a party or the concert), I had intended to ask what everyone here was planning to wear.

    • Lol. Right?  I mean the show could have framed the 60th anniversary in a different way, but the narrative was celebrating Tom and the hospital. Also, what a weirdly sexist bunch of posts about women's nail polish.  Like, yes, this is Days problem lol.  Stacy Haiduk isn't a good Kristen because she doesn't wear nail polish?  Are we in the 1950's???
