Very sad, but not surprising. A legend in his own time.

Whatever my feelings about the storyline last year, GH clearly knew he likely didn't have long and gave him a HEA with Holly to tie the character up. You could tell. I'm glad they did it and that he also got a final scene not long ago with his new grandchild.

To Frank Valentini's credit he often does very well with these memorials and treating the elder cast right before and after they pass, but it has been a very hard decade for GH. Let alone past five years.

What Tristan gave to the show won't be surpassed. I hope Kimberly, etc. will appear.

Really, really sad. He really was the lead of the show from 1984-1992, and pretty much a co-lead with Luke from 1981-1983. I'm glad his character was still recognizable at the end and got a happy ending.

He always had a great, mischievous smile. Too bad they didn't have his character do more of that.

Aww man :(….it seemed like every week we got info that he had passed but they were all proven to be false, but unfortunately it’s true this time…

I can’t say I have the GH history with Tristan as most do but i had respect for him as an actor and did enjoy him initially with Jess Walton when he was Colin on Y&R! It’s just a shame the show didn’t make the most out of his talent!

I knew he was ill, but OMG...I can't even begin to express how he and his character impacted viewers when Scorpio first appeared on GH. My college friends and I loved him! I remember going with some of them for a weekened at a hotel resort and before we even hit the pool, we sat down in the room to watch the Friday episode of GH. It was the one that ends with Scorpio and Tiffany running into each other in the jungle. It's silly, but we SCREAMED with delight!

R.I.P Tristan. You brought something really different and special to daytime.

Knowing that the actors and fans are grieving Leslie Charleson, Denise Alexander, now Tristan Rogers, and we haven't even said goodbye to their character yet...it's a reminder of how long ago that late '70s/early '80s glory age was for them and for fans, but still sometimes just feels like a moment away. I know that's the consequence of a show being on the air this long, but it's a heartbreaker. I can't imagine what they are going through. Or the fans who have been there all these decades, loving Robert, arguing over Anna or Holly or Katherine as his soulmate, willing him to come back in all those years away.

Oh no. Tristan Rogers created such an iconic character in Robert Scorpio with his easy charm, grit, and wit. Both will be missed.

My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones.

As others have noted, I assume Kimberly McCullough's recent reminiscence of Robin on her social media is related to this as I assume she'd be back for any tribute. She's made many appearances since Robin and Patrick's exit in the mid-2010s but this will be her first in awhile; I just wish it was under happier circumstances.
