Somebody should tell Leslie, the first thing she should have done was hire an attorney and a financial manager.  The idea that this "recently rich" woman is entering this world with no advice from anyone makes her look stupider than she is supposed to be.  Also, I think Anita should have fought a little harder to have the trust revoked.  It seemed she had only one very short conversation about that with Ted, then she gave up.  There should have been a least a brief legal battle, which Leslie would have likely won.

And was there no resolution on Leslie's suspected attempted murder case?  Did they just drop the whole thing?  I think it should have gone to court, and then the judge would see what a mess Kat made of all the evidence, causing the case to be dismissed.  The entire thing could have been wrapped-up with one or two scenes with a judge in his chambers (no need for a courtroom set).  But to just drop it is lazy writing in my opinion.

It was brought up last week

Ted's plan or whatever it is was stupid. Conning Leslie is only going to make her be more vengeful (if that's possible). And of course she was going to run over to the house to taunt Nicole. Dumb, dumb Ted.

It hasnt been dropped and the actress that plays Laura is still filming so it definitely isn't over.

I'm inclined to believe that Ted was pulling a con job on Leslie, or so I hope.

Yeah he's definitely playing her

Finally caught up on yesterday and today's episodes. It was supposed to be my last week watching live but things happen.

I know Kat isn't , but I would not be spending the night in the same place my friend just got kidnapped from even if the likelihood of something happening there again is very low. I would just feel so uneasy and anxious. The grandparents have more than enough rooms and Kat could have said I came back this morning to clean up.

If Ted offering Leslie the home is not a con, Ted is an idiot. I don't think he would be this stupid.

I think this Chelsea story would have been so strong had they waited to developed the background more fully. The idea that Alison hired a male escort to lure Chelsea based on her assumption she was only into men was smart. I loved seeing Chelsea realize that Craig wasn't Alison's husband. Obviously that would have stretched this story out a very long time if they played it that way, and it seems like they are trying to write at a quicker pace.

Anyone else's episode skipping? It's the only channel skipping, so weird. I guess I'll have to watch on Paramount later :(

I know I've been having issues here this week when I was actually at home live this week so I believe it.

Yep. Where it will continue to hover until Silk Press Sheila has everything she wants and then...karma is going to get her in the face.

Part of me wishes they would drop it. Leslie has been so entertaining being messy this week and I think that would have been enough. They didn't need to make Leslie an attempted murderer. I wonder if they didn't realize how popular the character would be and these early choices were done with the thought Leslie would exit the canvas early on or was this always the plan?

Dani and Bill have so much chemistry. Heck, Bill and Nicole had great chemistry. I do think there are several things being put into play for a Dani and Bill reconciliation.

-Hayley's fake miscarriage.

-We have the whole Randy/Sammy situation and Dani wondering if they've met before. I agree with whoever mentioned a few weeks back that the reveal might occur during November sweeps.

-Hayley's jealous/worried glance at Bill and Dani finding comfort in each other.

-Bill feeling guilty that he hasn't been present for Chelsea and insinuating that his affair only further strained that relationship.

I wonder if Martin's secret will play into the miscarriage reveal as in Hayley using it in some way.

Ted's definitely tricking Leslie.  He's concocted some round-about plan to keep her out of Fairmont Crest, after Lil Evie told him Thursday it would be best for Mama not to move there.  He looked off in the distance and said, "Nicole would appreciate it, too."  Then Big Bill's Tall Tree Lookin Ass came over and threatened Leslie if she moved there, which looked as though it might thwart whatever Ted is planning.

I hope neither of those girls gets stabbed with a knife that's got cake all over it.

i’ve always suspected the former. particularly since the initial attempt was the first week, when we knew virtually nothing about the character or her motivation.

Yay - Chelsea is still chained up! I was hoping it wouldn't wrap within a single week. I also loved the previews showing that maybe Kat/Jacob/Madison get into a car wreck on their way to rescue!  That's more good soap opera. They really built great momentum going into a holiday week. I can't wait for 9/08!

Oh and loved the 90210 references!!!  LOL at Leslie showing up to Nicole's house at the end.

which is exactly why it was a brilliant decision on the part of mvj — opens up a lot of story. of course, back in the day, it would have been months of story. now i’m hoping for a least a couple of weeks.

thought i do wish that rather than leslie confronting nicole in the same episode, the audience could have had a bit of a chance to anticipate the reveal.
