I thought old Ted had more chemistry wtih Leslie. NuTed comes across too puny for her and I dont see anything there. He has more with Nicole if only they'd allow them to interact in that capacity

Can't help but wonder what the plan is for Ted and Nicole. They haven't played it on screen that he truly wants her back. The slow subtlety is not working.

Im all for Ted and Leslie having hate sex on his eventual road back to Nicole. Im also for Nicole having a dalliance as well. Im also for Leslie and Carlton teaming up to keep Ted and Nicole apart but I like my soaps messy so Im fine with unpopular opinions. 

 

I definitely saw the chemistry between Trisha and Keith on yesterday's show. I also see the chemistry between Daphne and Keith especially on them Tik Toks. 

nuTed seems like the type who would see the good in Leslie and eventually soften up to a relationship with her. I could only see old Ted falling into hate sex with her but he seems all about Nicole and his family. 

The best part of this Leslie development for me is that Anita has a rival. I didn't realize how badly I wanted that until I saw the scenes between the two this week. They worked so well off each other and I like how Tamara Tunie is playing it. The Duprees view Anita as a saint but as she told Nicole (and has told Vernon in the past), she was NOT a saint in her past life. Yes they were young, but she didn't treat the other girls well so as much as she hates this current situation, she understands she caused it. This feels like a classic soap feud in the making.

One of my hopes when it comes to the limited sets is that they take Leslie's apartment set and refurbish it to add on to the bedroom that Jacob and Naomi have. It would make more sense for them to be meeting with June there than Orphey Gene's if Naomi isn't going to have an office.

I do wish they had more places they could meet up. A hotel lobby/bar would be a good idea and I wish there was a small coffee shop. I also think since they aren't going to do be doing location shooting that there should be some sort of studio based outdoor set. I don't think I've ever seen a soap where the characters are never outside in some way.

this illustrates perfectly why i continue to have a problem with NuTed. somewhere (not sure if was here or on another board) i said that i felt the recasting ted had damaged the character. someone (again, not sure here or elsewhere) replied that what we’re seeing now is how MVJ originally envisioned. 

maybe… but that means her original version was simplistic and far less interesting that what viewers saw the first few weeks. so the recast feels like a big bait-and-switch. 

I don't think the current Ted is long for the show tbh. I'd be surprised if the character is here in a year. But then I suspected that may have been the case with Ted from the jump when I saw the early casting notices.

I feel the same way. I mean, I like the actor, and he seems to be a nice guy from what I can tell on his Instagram, but he isn't exactly how I would have envisioned Ted as a character. He just isn't clicking, especially with Nicole. If the writers' ultimate endgame plan is to reunite Ted and Nicole at some point, then we have a major problem. I definitely believe at some point that the writers are going to realize that there is nowhere else for Ted to go and he ends up dying a pretty horrific death, possibly of Leslie's making. Maybe Leslie causes an incident or some kind of accident that results in Ted being a major casualty or something.

I enjoyed the scenes at the Dupree mansion yesterday. Bill vs. everybody. Bill and Nicole really seem to hate each other right now, and I love it. LOL.

I think it's tempting to pair Ted and Leslie as some screwball couple, but if you're writing from character, it makes zero sense. The writing badly damages Ted's character as it is, nobody but Leslie fans would support that. 

I wish we had gotten more screentime with ChelseaKat. I am personally very hungry for a business storyline. Quite a surprise that the Duprees don't have their hands in several other businesses.

I agree, I love how close they are as cousins.
