This is why I get so annoyed with Carly.  She was complaining about the danger of Sonny's world two weeks ago and now everything is back to normal.  She's defending Sonny again.  And, honestly, I don't think Sonny really even solved anything long term with Sidwell.

GH has always had a habit of making Sonny/Carly look right, but this is ridiculous.  Marco is completely innocent.  Lucas isn't overreacting about him being kidnapped.  Just because Marco is fine and released now doesn't make it okay lol.

This may seem random but .... I was really noticing the new ambitious ADA who is next in line for Little Sonny & she is hands down the most attractive Brenda Doppelganger we have ever had. Possibly she is even more beautiful than VM. Okay, no, sorry, went too far, got carried away. 

The other thing, is Anna, the other day, explaining Joss as a WSB recruit to Dante. In a way she addressed all the various issues that have been brought up in the GH fandom. Wouldn't it be great if people knocked it the hell off with all the dang fill-in-the-blank suggestions for better recruits. Emma was bad enough since spying is not passed down genetically & skipping a generation to boot. But, Trina, GMAB, our teeny tiny little pink princess an op?!!! Nooooo.

Me, I loved the fight between them. It was great high stakes family drama. 

Just finished watching GH on Thursday & I cannot believe that Curtis just FINALLY told Willow about HOT, ANGRY SEX, on a random Thursday, cliffhanger-style, just dropped that intel at the very last minute of the show!!!

These Lucas/Marco bedroom scenes yesterday are pretty intimate. I am impressed they took the time with someone who isn't a throwaway weenie like Brad. Marco is more superficially masculine than soaps often allow most LGBT guys to be, and Van Hansis' Lucas is at the different end of the spectrum in a way we also don't usually see on soaps unless it's a borderline caricature like Leo on DAYS or Felix, who also straddled the line. (OLTL did pretty well with Kish, but they did have a whole hetero-centric baby storyline) There's just a convincing sexual charge here with two IRL gay actors.

Totally agree. And they did it in such a short period of time, too.

My god Carly is infuriating. Poor put upon Sonny. I loved Lucas reading her. Did we really need two days of her pretending Sonny kidnapping Marco is cool because he didn’t kill him? The bar is that low? I’m so glad Lucas is moving out too.

Would GH actually be put in danger of cancellation or whatever, if Mo was fired and Sonny was killed off for good?

I think @carolineg and I have both said we think GH would take a hit if Mo was fired. I think it is probably too dangerous to do in the current ratings environment, otherwise I'd do it easily. Which is why instead we both so often invoke The Brenda Solution, where they are married off and VM/Brenda then takes up the bulk of their story. That keeps Sonny around but neutralizes a lot of this tired bullshít. He can still scheme and glower and threaten people but he can do it in a more conventional, classically Victor Newman-esque way, where the power and threat is implicit because of his history. You can toy with the tease of 'oh, will Sonny go back to his old ways?' but keep it in check, so we're not seeing situations like this crazy shít with Marco and Lucas happen every few weeks while half the canvas trips over themselves justifying his latest thug behavior. It is just so old and tired, everything about the current mob/crime setup feels like beyond an afterthought, and Maurice seems barely awake.

We're meant to see Marco as bad and Sonny as in the right, I assume. 

I don't really have any investment in a Carly and Lucas relationship - I know they may have been somewhat closer in the last decade but she was not a formative part of his life - so if the point of this is to end in Lucas begging Carly's forgiveness, I would rather they just kept Lucas offcamera.

And every single time that happens, not even just on GH, it makes want to do the exact opposite ten times harder. It's like writers, producers, etc. want us to be puppets or something.
