Are you sure? I just checked and it looks like GH airs at 2:00 p.m. ET on WSYX/ABC 6, the local ABC affiliate in the market, the same time it airs in most Eastern markets with the exception of the ABC Owned Stations. That station is owned by Sinclair.

I  might have looked at it wrong, I can't get ABC with my antenna. so it's possible I got it wrong

My Aunt just came over and she was asking me why Beyond the Gates wasn't on. She said she saw the rerun on tv and went to Paramount+ and couldn't find it. She was very upset as well! I can only imagine all of the viewers who aren't online are equally confused.

That's the only aspect of this that I don't get. They (CBS) should have at least did some promo for this so people know.

"You missed it the first time... ? Now it's your change to see the hottest new show from the start." Or something cliche like that. On a quick trailer.

If people don't know what is happening and are confused that's just lazy of CBS.

No worries. Thanks for clarifying.

I know originally GH aired at 3 pm here, but it was before they changed the timeslot. I usually have to watch it through a feed I get from the west Coast, cause I can't do ABC's website either cause I don't have a cable provider(unless they changed that I don't use their site)

I'm more pissed that a proper explanation wasn't given. It was such a sloppy move all around. From not warning viewers, airing the premiere week which was a bad move IMO, to keeping mute on the reason. Even if it was a BTS issue give a fake excuse and say we are airing the first week for those who missed it.

To my point of reairing premiere week, it is already the most watched week, why air it again. It received the most promotion out of any other week with months of aniticipation. Anyone that REALLY wanted to tune in did or has made the effort to at least stream somewhere. If they aren't watching or still watching it's for other reasons. Doesn't help that the first episode was pretty slow for a premiere and the first week was filled with production flaws. Honestly, they should have aired key episodes to help those not fully invested get hooked and understand the main plot points so they could continue on next week knowing what was going on.

Also, if this has to do with a BTS issue than great. I'm all for not airing all the dirty laundry and causing uproar where there need not be, but don't blindside the viewer and not acknowledge or inform them ahead of time. This was just so poorly done and it only harms the show.

I'm irritated that Deadline's headline says the *show* is unnerving fans.  The show didn't decide this. The body of the article says it was was CBS, but the author should have changed the nuance of their headline.

The title should have said:

'Beyond the Gates' Fans Unnerved With Week of Reruns; Originals To Return July 7

Whelp, the repeat/encore decision was DEFINITELY last minute...

Through conversations, it was a combination of things I've already cited and likely reactionary to the series low ratings the show had during the week of June 16-20, 2025.

Thankfully, the show recovered, but the decision to pull originals had already been made and they wouldn't have known that just yet since overnight ratings for daytime always appear lower until finals are released - the ratings Toups and I report each week.

And what did they think a week of repeats would do?! I mean, seriously...?

So how would a week of repeats remedy this situation?

Maybe they assumed with it being a holiday that the ratings would've continued dropping? Of course they didn't anticipate the ratings shooting up last week.

The key takeaway for them needs to be that you need to plan and not make kneejerk reactions. They cost potential ratings highs this week riding the waves of the Bell soaps also being up. If they wanted to do this it should've been properly planned with clear result in mind. If it's to introduce the show to new viewers, they should've ran promos saying that with a note you can catch up on Paramount+. They also should've spent the week promoting the following week of new episodes.

I also think their social media should've been ready posting key clips of highlights, behind the scenes, etc.

This reminds me of AW fans who were not online when the show was cancelled & the various reactions they posted later when they did get online, since after the annual break for tennis, had a real shock & awe reaction when the first episode of Passions came on their screens that Monday after, in what to them was still AW's timeslot.
