I want a crazy soap podcast with Brenda Dickson-type of guests. Megan McTavish level of crazy. Not with these hosts of course. I am so bored by the safe podcasts and interviews. Judging how it's CBS-controlled, I doubt it will be anything new. Lots of how amazing this and that and some humour from time to time.

I need a real podcast about the soap opera world - a world full of hidden skeletons and scandals. Every time I hear a soap-related podcast or interview... I start falling asleep. People forget that the most successful podcasts are very spicy and very on the edge. Make an episode featuring ex-cast mates of the soaps, bitter, crazy bitches that don't have anything more to lose. Show us how some of them are currently working as waitresses and in fast food restaurants, because they can't live on these soap salaries.

I don't want the top of the top who earn the money and visit Monte Carlo every year... and have nothing bad to say about their head-writer.

Call me a negative bish, but I want to hear something real from time to time. That's just my pet peeve. I am talking in general - I have no illusions that this podcast will be anything close to this. I will be very positively surprised if it's anything interesting.

I love you. You're a real one. I share the same sentiment. I am sure a podcast like the one you described would have been great and probably high-rated too.

Not my ideal choice for co-hosts. I will certainly tune ina nd support though. I think it is wonderful how CBS and P&G seem to be about soaps today. I love it!

I agree. This is the only part of tv and film where it's so damn hard to get the real stories out there. I don't think it's negative or messy but these stories deserve to be told.

I feel like the closest we've gotten is The Locher Room but as we all know, he tries to shut down any controversy as soon as it starts. I love when guests push back and get their story out. The most uncomfortable I've ever seen him Signy Coleman spoke about her marriage to David Irrizarry and how he was physically abusive to her. I thought he was going to combust but something like that is *so* serious and I'm sure it was hard for her to speak about it, but you could tell it was important to her.

I feel like it humanizes the guests when they can be honest and helps people watching who may have gone through similar situations.

Every time I try to watch the Locher Room I end up drifting off... It's like melatonin. 😂

The first episode is really good. EB said he stayed on YR cause he had a conversation with Bill Bell and said he was tired of playing bad guys

I enjoyed it too. EB gives great interviews, and I love hearing him speak and tell stories. I also laughed when he said he ran into a writer at the supermarket and they were talking to themselves. Accurate.

Can't wait to listen!  I noticed they advertised it in a banner during today's BTG episode. I wonder if that means the network is helping to fund it, which would be interesting and positive for soaps!

I just listened to the first episode and generally loved it!  I'm a huge Budig fan, but never knew much about Greg R (I haven't watched his shows while he's been on). They have a great friendship and giggly rapport which is endearing.

I never watched Y&R, and I'll probably get lambasted for this because I know EB is daytime royalty, but he didn't have much of a sense of humor. He seemed to take himself too seriously, but maybe it's an age thing. It's probably just me.

Love that we have this podcast though. It was great hearing their experiences on past soaps, doing soap trivia, would you rather questions about their characters and others, etc. It was fun!

I watched the first episode on YT last night and it was even better to see it vs. just listen. Both are great, but I'll watch the rest going forward.  So happy they are doing this!
