I don't know what my take should be on Natalia.  Is she just really drunk or did she think Sonny was serious?  Like, sure, Natalia you and Sonny are going to live in Belize together.  You didn't even get an offer to THE ISLAND, crazy.

It's like they have it in for Eva at this point, or the staff writers are finally getting to unload on a character they clearly disliked as much as the audience but who FV kept trying to put over. It reminds me of Megan McTavish's unpublished memoir gossiping about how much she and everyone else on the OLTL writing staff disliked Kale Browne but executive producer JFP (his lover) insisted his character be in 3 shows a week and centered in story. Either way, it is vicious, well-deserved and I am treasuring every moment.

And yeah, Y&R is my bet for ol' Chad since JFP had a hand in his soap debut. Whether he'll be as soporific as that show, we'll see.

Ooopphh!

If DT didn't try to pimp the Laura pairing at every turn and also advocate to be paired with Nina-I'd be nicer.  You have Brook Kerr in front of you and you barely care.

I do have to laugh over how the show was like Natalia isn't evil to full on Natalia is a drunk, delusional mess without any progression from point A to B.

I had no idea he was doing all of that.

I think I'm Portia's one fan and I hate the way they write her. The couldn't even make her lone Chief of Staff. They had to make her share the part with someone that's on once every three months. I want her to have at least one real win that sticks.

I'm kind of scared for Natalia. She really might wind up to be chum for the sharks.

I honestly don't know if Donnell has been doing it recently.  It was just his thing for a long time.  He wants a Genie pairing.  He was also very pro to a Nina or Hayden (at the time) pairing.  I don't know if he thinks it will get Curtis more airtime, but I think he already gets a lot of airtime.

I don't like Portia that much.  I think she's still ill-defined.  She just keeps secrets to keep secrets without much rhyme or reason.

I don't care much about Natalia either but it's hilarious we went from 0 to 100 on the character in a month.

I'm glad to hear Chad Duell is so nice regarding Rory replacing him. I guess it's cool that people are complimenting him for his honesty in interviews as to why he left, but I really think that's burying the lede.

He was bored? Sorry, but I don't think there's any excuse for sleeping through your scenes. Was he given lousy, non-challenging material for years? Yeah. But at least TRY to look engaged, TRY to make it work. Not doing that is just unacceptable.

I felt for Donnell at one point. When he first came on he crowed that he wanted to be 'the Black Luke Spencer' and have major story. They played him heavy with Michelle Stafford's Nina and with Budig, and he did have chemistry with them and was initially a pretty engaged performer. But I knew his dreams were not going to happen on this show, not for any Black male, and I felt for him. Once these options faded he began to perform like an Epcot Center greeter and still does today in most situations. Unless he's with Genie Francis, or certain other ladies. I think Brook Kerr has been terribly wasted on him. I think Portia has been poorly used often but BK always gives it 200% and could be doing much more.

I do think scheming tycoon Curtis has some meat to it, but I would still ice him soon and bring back Justus instead.

I think you have a valid point, and I get where you are coming from.  IMO, at least he stepped away instead of sleepwalking through the next ten years, which he probably could have.

He played the part for a decade and a half.  I think most of us have had to stay at jobs longer than we wanted to because we had to pay bills.  That's not excusing his behavior, but I can at least understand it when he lays it out.

Umm..Donell Turner is just waiting for the Laura pairing that will never happen.

I think at this point any blonde will do lmao

Was Curtis ever a good character? In the 2-ish years since returning to the show I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a single scene of his. He’s so morally superior and DT talks like an anchorman who’s been at the job too long.

Similar to Chad in his last few years he radiates “over it”. And I might be projecting or taking his old black Luke Spencer comment too much to heart but I get the feeling he really resents being stuck in the Black Story ghetto, hates the marriage to Portia and isn’t crazy about being Trina’s father (though clearly has a good rapport with Taby). I’m sure I’m not saying anything revelatory considering we all clock how he perks up when sharing a scene with a Port Charles blonde but every day it bothers me more and more because he’s not like Tanisha Harper who is just a bad actor, he’s pretty obviously IMO not committed to the work. Especially opposite Brook Kerr who clearly relishes finally being on a soap where she’s got dialogue that isn’t mind numbingly awful (all of the time anyway).

I think he absolutely does, and I get it. Curtis was never much of a character but DT's charisma and energy was infectious early on, and it's long gone. But so has my patience given how he treats Kerr onscreen. She is SO HAPPY to not be on Passions anymore and they give her nothing but this.

It's strange to me because I think Donnell Turner is charming and super handsome.  He does nothing for me as Curtis though.

I am not sure what he wants.  Just a pairing with a white woman?  Curtis gets a lot of airtime, he has 2 love interests, and has an entire family.  It's not like he's on the sidelines waiting for a story.   And it feels like Brook Kerr does all the heavy lifting here-and to an extent even Tanisha Harper who at least looks like she's trying.  Curtis just looks bored and annoyed.  I wouldn't want to be with that man.  He just seems grumpy lol.

Honestly, I hate both characters and think both actors are pretty bad now but if Curtis and Jordan actually did get back at it and have a flat-out affair behind Portia's back I'd watch it. At least something non-generic would be happening. Then they can both leave!

Oh, you know I think Tanisha is bad.  I just don't think she's actively tanking scenes on purpose.

I'd be fine with a Curtis/Nina pairing at this point because Portia needs to get out of this lying to Curtis box.  It's over.  Pair her with someone else.  Heck, angry pair her with Drew after he gets over his Willow obsession.

Every single time BLQ has a good outfit day, it’s followed by whatever this atrocity was today.

Sonny flirting with this ADA, god please just stop.

I have no issues with Curtis or DT. I don’t read much soap stuff so I never saw the stuff about the pairings he wanted. I generally cancel out the noise of what’s not on the show when it comes to actors. I’ve always enjoyed DT and maybe I’m blind but in the year I’ve been watching I’ve never seen the boredom you guys bring up a lot.

Lord of course Jordan busts in on Portia and Curtis. I’m so here for this Quad if they make sure to keep Isaiah very involved.

Anna is always so offended when people say she has a Sonny bias and can’t do her job, she and Laura disgust me.

The only way I'd be interested in Sonny and this ADA is if they have their own version of the Mary Hartman story where a younger social worker fell in love with Grandpa and was clearly in the midst of some mental breakdown or had major daddy issues. I'd love to see Sonny's reaction to that...
