Possibly but the two kids looked close in age. They just went out of their way to establish that Hayley is 26 and I cant buy June being in her 20s. She looks more mid to late 30s

I also think that what we've seen of Dani for the past 75 or so episodes is probably something that Nicole and her parents have laid witness to their whole lives.

While I agree June looks 30+ years old, she's also lived out on the streets  for awhile without access to skincare, make up, etc.... while Hayley looks as though she loves to shop and pamper herself all the time.   

Dani/Andre are the big romance right now. My question is, after Nicole comes to accept them(which she will), and Bill moves past it. What will be their obstacles after that to sustain them as a couple, and not move into boredom?

Nicole will have a breakdown of sorts once she learn's about Martin's secret and all the people that kept it from her. My heart goes out to my fave.🥰

Yes! They have been a major highlight for me. The only character I wanna see get relatives outside of Duprees is Smitty.

I do not want that tbh. Which means we might get it cause I never get what I want with these shows.

Andre is just a prop for Dani. An ego boost. Nothing more. To me it's very obvious. She is obsessed with Bill.

@Rmodelboy You might be spot on! While I enjoy the show, I am having trouble with some of the story directions. For a new show, we have way too many storylines dealing with the past IMO. And I do not think Hayley needs family right now. How does that help her?

She needs something to further develop her character outside of Bill's life. She has no friends or family which I think is a big problem. Same goes for Smitty and why I wish Pamela was his mother. With so much focus on the Dupree family you have characters that are isolated. That hurts their development in the long run.

What we don't know yet is that Samantha has pulled a Josie Grossie and is actually a reporter in disguise who was perfectly positioned to be adopted by Martin and Smitty. She is secretly investigating Martin's secret. We have seen hints of her hard hitting journalism such as "What's gay sex like?"

I agree. But you can do that without family. Shanice is there now; those two can build a sisterly bond.

A good end to a good week for me. But I think we know I'm a sucker for a Friday cliffhanger. And that was a long time coming. See what can happen when you focus on an A story people want to see and have plots surrounding that. Bonus that one of those plots is an A plot that was reduced to a B plot seamlessly this episode. 

 

Martin's secret, Martin's secret, Martin's secret!! From almost off the backburner to C plot and now it seems like they are going to play with it. Cuz that mystery man has been around for a while. The images in Martin's head have grown more vivid. And now a hint that Crooked Cop could be involved as well. Let the audience in. And it appears they might finally do that.

 

And finally!!! Since the other A story has been Dani/Bill/Hayley, I appreciated that the writers tried to give some substance to Bill and Hayley by Hayley trying to cheer him up. It gives her some (emphasis on just some) depth. That said...them talking about that one picture knowing that they winded up having an affair. MESSY! I do see the potential in Tomas (work) vs Hayley (personal life) with Bill. I wanted to hate on Dani showing up, but the vibe she was giving off was giving ex-wife that is not thinking of her ex-husband. The power of Andre.  

 

I liked seeing Chelesa and Kat moving into the guest house. Like I mentioned, very 90210-ish. And thinking about their business. Right when people were mentioning that, too.  Tomas (and that bubble) looked good in that suit. And I was awww at Dani, Chels, and that gorgeous picture. That said...Dani is starting to be OTT again a bit in places and that annoys me. Her warning to Tomas though...I didn't mind that. I also didn't mind Chels and Kat realizing that Andre and Dani might be a thing.

 

Speaking of thing...mmmmmm Andre in white pants....lol.

 

C plot was Derek and Ashley. And le sigh. I liked the Naomi/Derek scenes. But I have started to dislike how neurotic Ashley is being. Very shrewd Carrie Bradshaw. And it is really not making me like her at all. 

 

I did like the mention of other plots to keep them alive. Like Vernon with Anita to Martin. All things Dani/Andre...and how Bill's drama and Ashley's drama is missing with them. Chelesa and Kat's kikis over their relationships. 

 

And again...cliffhangers on Friday.

Ashley dreaming about Andre telling her that he wore her out was absolutely hilarious and telling. She really just wants sex from Andre.

The appearance of June in this episode where Hayley mentioned not having any family just reinforces my thought that she is Hayley's sister.

The speed that Chelsea is moving with Dr. Montgomery is ridiculous. Meeting the grandfather, mother and aunt all that same time so quickly was overwhelming.

Having a family meeting to introduce your family to someone you’ve been dating for a few days is absolutely ridiculous. I want this couple to implode immediately just for the stupidity of this relationship.

Naomi’s wig today is absolutely tragic.

It was exciting seeing Shanice on a different set outside of the hospital for once.

And she’s nosey as hell still 😂
