I loved the twist that the men were trying to playfully warn Tomas about Kat.. not the other way around

Other then the lack of follow up on the stellar cliffhanger from yesterday, this was a superb episode.   It makes me sad that B & B no longer produces fashion shows at this level anymore when that was one of the highlights of that soap in the 80s/90s/00s.   Maybe this show will help light a fire under that soap and they can eventually produce a fashion show of quality again.

This episode was definitely Chelsea's episode.. and the first episode where it shows how comfortable the actress has gotten playing the character and doing a soap opera.

Lots of warm family moments with Martin/Smitty and their daughter... plus some great moments between Samantha/Chelsea/Kat.

I'm going to miss the actor playing Ted because he can effortlessly play the charming handsome father and husband, but also play the rougher elements as we saw yesterday.

A delayed thought from yesterdays episode and having seen the Have Not Gossip session at play:  I noticed that Jan and Silk Press Sheila have a good rapport and similar viewpoint about the wealthy country club while Mona seems to be the third wheel in that friend group.  I wonder if that will play out.

Do we know how Dana become friends with Mona/Jan and what she does to support herself?

Not following up the cliffhanger was weird. Laura is going to be OK but I wonder if Ashley will be investigated as nurse on duty?

YASSSSS!!! FASHION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that music!!!

Get it, Samantha!!! And Naomi's reaction was EVERYTHING.

I AM going to want that song though. lol. And will totally rewatch later.

It was so old school though. Taking me back to when I was young and a cousin got with someone. I loved every minute. And then Ted with his 'bye Tomas.' I hollered. And they all looked soooo good. Vernon is wearing that suit. And Ted and Martin in theirs giving strong Father/Son vibes. You know what*fans self*

You also know what? You know an episode is strong when you forget about the cliffhanger. And I am one to always get mad about that.

Feb. 26, episode #3, Mona said she'd been working a lot for Nicole. Leslie said "that's why you've been missing from choir practice". Mona replied that she'd be there tonight by 7:00.

I don't know how they originally met, though.  I'm just laughing that Leslie's in the choir.

Mona was originally shown working for Nicole.  Later that same episode (Feb. 26) Mona was at Nicole's office. Nicole acknowledged that Mona had been working extra hours.  Laura offered to stay late and finish up so that Mona could leave now to go to choir practice.  (later that same night, Laura left Nicole's and Leslie ran her off the road).

On the night of Nicole's award ceremony, they said Mona wouldn't be there because she(Mona) was sick, and Eva took on extra work to prepare.  We didn't see Mona again until yesterday (April 7), and there was no mention of Mona ever working for Nicole -- that seemed odd to me. I wondered if I had missed or misunderstood something.

Mona is gonna ind out her secret and Dana is gonna be forced to kill her. I can see her showing Nicole some pictures from choir practice and she noticed Dana is the "Sherri Carter" she's been looking for. Mona will later confront Dana about that and well it was nice knowing you

Very much rewatching later. Really liked and would like it without the internet interference.

Yabbut today Martin was good, for the first time I might add. But the very best thing was the ganging up on Tomas. Did you see the look on his face? Second best thing was Chelsea singing Dani's prasies. I was so surprised. It was very nice. And showing the purse worked.

Fashion, hunni, fashion!!!

That's how you do some good organic comedy!!! And I would say it's almost a running joke that pays off. For weeks, they have been mentioning Kat with Tomas but no one seeing him with her outside of the scene with Vernon, Anita, and Nicole so it pays off that he gets to meet the whoooole family (and we get a scene with Father Ted and Son Martin finally, too). The actor even looked nervous which was cute.

But isn't she supposed to be Dani's best friend?  Yet, she is seldom around.   I hope she gets back to taping soon.  Best friends need more than four scenes together in almost two-months.  Cady get back to Atlanta and tape some more episodes, please...

    • They are mentioning Aristotle Dumas in nearly every scene now.  Good Lord.  The poor actors must roll their eyes every time they get a new script.
    • BC played Jeffrey O'Neill, her last husband- the ninth.   Yes, April Fools Day 2009 is a date that will live in infamy for GL fans but I feel we all kinda expected it at that point.  The soap press reported that GA's return as Phillip was basically the show's final chance at getting the ratings up.  A Hail Mary if you will.  It didn't extend the show's life but it was fantastic to see Phillip back in SF where he belonged.
    • I think Alexa Havins has been polarizing. A large segment of fans love her and what she's done with the role, while others say she's a good actor but they hate the way Lulu is written -- as someone who interferes and is a harpy. I personally think she's been a terrific recast.
    • The perfect camp. And maybe it's regional? I don't recall seeing a "sponsored in part by..." tag during today's end credits, either, which is usually when I see the commercials.
    • Totally agree on TMG - perfect daytime camp. I always get Febreeze commercials, and did today. I wonder why you're not, that's odd.
    • Dipping my toes back in, and Leslie continues to be THE star. Girl has brought the same energy since day one. Anita has become tons more interesting when played with her former groupmates. Kat is such a massive disappointment. I can’t stand her.
    • this was a great episode. Leslie with Jacob was lol as were the scenes with Jacob/Kat.  I like that Eva is vulnerable at times. Makes it easier to like her. The writers need to do this with Dani more. (and Leslie). The Anita scenes were also well done.  Big credit to the writers today!

date: Thursday, June 5 | Christopher Dunn, Judy Tate | Michael V. Pomarico I love the way Vernon just observes Anita and knows exactly what's on her mind and yet still allows her to explain her way out of it all. He knows his wife. LAURA IS BACK AT WORK! I am very, very happy for you, and I love that Katherine, Mona, and Nicole are there to warmly welcome her back. It's been months! Uh-oh, Ms Dana, here comes the PD to raid your ass; I just wish Eva hadn't moved the helmet and gloves, because she could be caught NOW! Sharon continues to show how absolutely ugly she is with her nasty, distasteful attitude. Shame on her. Absolute shame. Dante Greene is the devil; a truly deplorable human being who clearly felt he could walk over someone without a care by luring the other three Articulettes with him via Anita. I admire that Anita is fully aware of things right now; she's considering everything: the positive and the negative. And with Vernon's support and wisdom, she's got this locked in. Oh, more backstory! There was a hiatus to mourn Barbara, and Anita did not come back. I hate to say it, but that does happen in real life. Choice to take a break, for whatever reasons, and you don't come back together. We've seen it before. I like how humble Eva is with her position at the salon and where she came from, especially in beginning as Nicole's assistant. I appreciate that Laura is struggling to transition back into her work space and that she's re-adjusting, with everyone giving her the grace she needs. I love that Jacob is not backing down to Dana and her attempts to "woo" him. YES ANITA! STAND UP FOR YOURSELF! Vernon saw what was coming and said, "I'm going to safety! This is for the women, not me," and he yeeted himself out of there. Katherine should have an office and a badge at this point; she's more than earned it. Oh, there is a slight flirt in Nicole's eye who is enjoying the continued run-ins with Ted; she's in love with him. And that isn't changing. Go on, Anita! You fight for yourself, girl! Speak the TRUTH! Oh, look, Eva and Laura. This is interesting. Very, very interesting. Notes: Febreze and no commercial; maybe it's only Tide that garners the commercials right now? Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana) continues to serve camp, but it's camp done right. It's not a comedy or a mockery; it's pure daytime camp. I wonder who they'll cast as Dante Greene if the role comes onto the scene. I appreciate them bracing the subject matter of suicide in a way that does not come off as... cliche or in poor taste. Tamara Tunie (Anita) is continuing to show up! I love this for her. A true matriarch and legend!

I love Leslie's nicknames for everyone.  Speaking of, is she going by Leslie or Dana because Ted keeps calling her Dana now. That was a nice scene between Eva and Laura.
