I do find myself rewriting eg when Kat had the fantasy scene, I think it would have flowed better had she received Tomas' message first and that would have spurred the fantasy(which should have been presented more clearly as  her imagining)

Part of me hated that we got a fantasy segment. Part of me didn't mind it cuz Fantasy Tomas was much more interesting. I think that would have totally flow better.

I think I prefer Jacob over Andre as well. For me, it's not just about looks, but also about vibe. Jacob just seems manlier in contrast to Andre's boyishness. 

Neither Jacob nor Andre are sexy to me. In terms of sex appeal, nobody comes close to Bill Hamilton - Timon Kyle Durrett. Can't wait to hear @Errol's interview with him.

Andre is too green, and Jacob is too... pretty. For my taste. I prefer men to look more interesting and more experienced. Andre is a hook-up on the side to stroke your ego (what Dani does with him); Jacob is the guy you want to be seen with in society (he is very presentable)... but Bill is the man you secretly come home to in a trashy-looking hooker apartment... and you just don't look back. Just look at what is happening to Dani Berserk without that D. You know it's good. 🐍

I do also hope we see more of Anita's family. I think Vivica Fox or Debbi Morgan coming on as one of her sisters (the black sheep of their family) that has a rivalry/jealousy of Anita would make for some great story telling. Perhaps they could have their own family who are not as wealthy as the DuPree's.

I meant about Anita's police gala. We haven't had much build on that outside of the initial scene. Meanwhile, we get mentions of both Nicole/Ted anniversary party and Dani's fashion event. I just feel that we will get more from Anita soon. Events are the best places for soaps to reveal secrets and given the writing team on this show that is exactly what will happen. 

 

That said...I do hope that for Anita's gala, she does bring one of her band members back. But also that would be a great opportunity to bring in one of her sisters if she has one like you mentioned. Or what Jacob's mother saw Anita and his dad at the gala, didn't like the vibe, and started to unearth something from Anita's past...bringing out a new family member for Anita.

For sure the Eva/Silk Press Sheila plot will have to come to a head during May sweeps since Laura should be recovered and ready to resume her duties in the coming weeks.   And also Silk Press Sheila has a different nickname that another forum uses... Alias (I assume because of her wigs and the lead character on Alias always wearing the fun wigs during secret missions).

I had this weird thought about nurse Ashley and her backstory.   According to what I read, Ashley's backstory involved her being raised by a single mother Jan.. and basically being left home alone everyday while her mother worked numerous jobs raising her.   With that type of backstory, I would think a performer could be able to mine something for that to infuse into the character.   So far, she hasn't been able to bring anything to the character.. and the audience is left mystified that she's been featured so much without any sort of personality/agency.

Another thing is that since Ashley's father hasn't been mentioned, I'm wondering if it's going to be revealed that Joey is her father.  It's been established that one of the jobs Ashley's mother Jan has is working for Vanessa/Doug at their house.. and perhaps Joey will one day become a guest of the McBrides and Jan sees him and freaks out.

That would be nice. And I could see them setting that up nicely since something has already been hinted at happening at the end of the month to set off May Sweeps. So speculating...perhaps Nicole's anniversary party? Then you could have the fashion event in May...maybe mid-May...to set off Dani's drinking spiral...though I personally would love to see Dani get it together for her sister who will surely be spiraling herself. Then you can really build to that gala by the tail end of May with two weeks of intrigues up the actual date.
