In celebration of his new book, “Hollywood Payback,” a follow-up to his debut novel “Hollywood Hustle,” soap star Jon Lindstrom (“Beyond the Gates,” “General Hospital”) is going on tour at a bookstore near you, and will be bringing along some familiar guests along the way, including Daphnée Duplaix (Dr. Nicole Dupree-Richardson) and Michael Easton (ex-Hamilton Finn, “General Hospital”), among others.
The nine-city tour kicks off on Thursday, April 9, in Ashland, OR, when Lindstrom appears at Bloomsbury Books. Then on Friday, April 10, he’ll head to Pasadena, CA, at Vroman’s Bookstore, where he’ll be joined by Easton as they discuss the novel. The following week, among several stops in the south, Duplaix will join Lindstrom at Virginia-Highland Books in Atlanta, GA, on Tuesday, April 14, the same date “Hollywood Payback” is scheduled for release from publisher Crooked Lane Books.
“Hollywood Payback”
According to a synopsis, “Hollywood Payback” follows the story of Jake Ferguson, a once-promising Hollywood actor who threw his life and career away twenty years earlier, having crashed and burned through heavy use of coke, booze, and pills. After making a faithful decision that saw an innocent woman killed, Ferguson was convicted and forced to serve time at Folsom Prison, but before entering, he agreed to testify against his partners-in-crime as the star witness for the prosecution. Now, a free man, Ferguson returns to a Los Angeles he no longer recognizes and a life without meaning. Enter Carla, a waitress, with whom he finds a connection. Things seem to be on the up and up for Ferguson, until one night, a murder takes place right before him, making Jake wonder if he was set up as the authorities close in on their number one suspect: himself.
Will Jake be able to clear his name, protect the ones he cares about, and find out who is behind everything? To find out, make sure to purchase a copy of the new novel at a bookstore near you when it releases on Tuesday, April 14.
If planning to join Lindstrom during one of the in-person tour dates, you can also purchase a copy of both “Hollywood Payback” and “Hollywood Hustle” in-store before the start time.

“Hollywood Hustle” Feature Film
Last year, it was announced that Lindstrom’s first novel, “Hollywood Hustle,” would be adapted into a feature film, with Lindstrom set as an executive producer on the project from financier, producer and distribution company AETH Entertainment.
The story is set in the dark underbelly of the Hollywood scene, depicting the bold prose of an insider named Winston Greene, a has-been film star who wakes one morning to find his six-year-old granddaughter at his bedside—traumatized, unattended, and gripping onto a thumb drive. She comes bearing video proof that her mother, Winston’s troubled adult daughter, has been kidnapped by a murderous gang demanding all his “movie money” for her safe return. But they don’t know it’s all gone, long gone.
