She must be lying about them. Hmmm

I didn't think about that. I assumed the favor would be to put a rush on the DNA test not to falsify them .

i've never cared for gambling storytelling and they've never done well ratings wise.

I agree.  Gambling/loan-shark storylines worked on Edge of Night, mostly because they didn't over use them and they were well written (Henry Slesar was a genius).  But on other soaps, gambling plots are usually unenjoyable, uninspired, and depressing. Perhaps because they are so predictable.

In my opinion, political storylines also do not tend to work on soaps.  Ryan's Hope may be the exception, because most of their political plots focused on the campaign(s), and not so much on the details of "making the sausage". Other than RH, I have never seen a political plot that I enjoyed on a soap -- not even when the town Mayor is a character. (and by now, nearly every soap has tried a Mayor plot -- YUCK).  I don't think most soap writers know enough about politics to write a compelling political (or even Mayor) plot.  Plus, I don't think the soap audience really wants to watch politics on their soaps.  If BTG goes way into politics, I hope they do it with some level of true understanding.  I do have faith that MVJ knows what she's doing.  She is my new soap Goddess.

Finally!!!

The wait be crazy.

I continue to love how this show builds up to their Fridays.

'You grew up with Dani Dupree.' Well, that look was hilarious.

Poor Derek.

Eva seems to be getting attached to Nicole and that's going to eventually make Leslie furious. I can hear her saying something like "So you're gonna choose that rich heifer over your Mama?" lol.

Eva/Nicole bonding. Uh oh. But wait...still too tender to talk about? Ooooh, another piece of the puzzle. too soon as in SIX MONTHS? Like what Silk Press Sheila said on Monday. Ooooo Nicole must know about the affair!

Wow. Martin and Smitty had good tension in this scene. And omg...the kids!!

Not Vanessa being jealous!

See? This is why I like this show. Randy should just be another typical henchman, but his history with Doug is making Doug's storyline have yet another layer.

Yay!!! I was not expecting an Eva/Andre scene again so soon.

Okay...I like Joey. JL is definitely relishing the role, and it shows.

Awww Martin and Smitty finally got to kiss.

Ooooo ya betta plot, Silk Press Sheila!!!

OOPS. The slap!!

Ooooo the fingers rubbing on the arms. I would have put my stuff aside for Smitty turning up the heat.

LOL!!! Of course, Silk Press Sheila is going to call in a favor to speed up that DNA test. And Mrs. Trisha slayed in that black leather.

Le sigh. Darn nightmare. They were so close.

What kind of casino is this supposed to be?  A one-room casino with decor from the 1980s?  And privately owned by one guy?  Does that type of casino really exist?

It does. Or more specifically a game room. I know I used to work at a restaurant that was next door to one such game room where the people never left the table and sent the workers (like the lady that was in the scene with Doug the other day) to run and get food orders for them so they never had to stop gambling.

But I also said there are backrooms. And those two do exist. Now on soaps...outside of this show...there was also Ms. Wu's on GH that was a major thing when that storyline was more featured...because it was being done in a backroom of the Savoy. Though I can't remember if we saw the backroom off the top of my head.

I'm sure Eva will turn out to be Ted's, but is Eva actually Silk Press Sheila's child?  I'm getting a vibe that maybe Silk Press Sheila did some stealing.

And I wonder if maybe this Alan individual that Silk Press Sheila mentioned losing six months ago could have been a patient of Nicole's?

I didn't see the point of Andre being in the episode.

Vanessa/Doug have an interesting vibe, and I'm wondering if Joey's interest in Doug will cause issues for Vanessa and her business.  Also, curious on if this Vanessa/Diego situation is going to go somewhere or if it will end up being a way for Joey to blackmail Vanessa?

Ashley/Derek = no comment

Smitty/Martin finally kissed and seemed like a couple today :)
