I mean, I'd place Naomi in her late 20s as Dani would've gotten a kid pretty soon after marriage and Martin around Claybon's real age (37), so late 30s. So not exactly the same age.

LOL, they're not going to do that with Martin at all. Next Vanguard #3 is gonna claim Kat being a social media maven is MVJ stealth recruiting for DOGE.

The problem with that is Nicole and Ted met at a medical conference. They'd be in their late 20s to have gone through med school. Lets say it as during med school that means they met in their mid 20s and had Martin before she turned 30. Having Martin be late 30s puts Nicole at closer to approaching 70. Things work best with him being around 30-31 which would just be a few years older than Naomi

It's so silly. If they started the show tomorrow and said Nicole and Ted somehow raised Anita and Vernon's last child due to some passing major health issue I would not complain. Or just a straight-up 180. I don't care!

We know. And you never will. That's the primary impetus beyond your increasingly embittered posting history over the last year across two active accounts (you haven't used the third much since you got mad that Empire existed). As soon as you realized BTG was not going to be using your helpful story and casting notes on this message board, you began constantly spamming its threads with hate speech videos followed by a series of conspiracy theories about how the show is secretly anti-Black and now homophobic. Will you be closing one of those other active accounts, BTW? Do you still think the show is 'guaranteed trash?' You've said that twice before in the weeks before its debut. Like you, I'm also just asking questions.

I did think yesterdays episode did a good job of providing a bit of difference between the Vanessa and Pamela's characters in regards to their function in Dani's life.  We all have friends that provide different functions so I could see Vanessa being the social friend (i.e. drinks out, having a laugh) and Pamela being the fixer (i.e. her snapping Dani back to reality, bringing the stuff Dani asked for, and being calm/posh).

It also was the first episode where Pamela had more then just a few lines so we got to see a bit more development of her character, plus got to see how Cady would make this character different then her previous long term characters.  The posh/upper crust accent and mannerisms differ considerably from Dixie and Rosanna.

Also, soaps do adjust/change once they air for a bit vs what was planned originally in bible.  While it appears Ashley/Andre might be in the cards, the chemistry he has with Dani and Eva supersede the chemistry he has with Ashley so the show could shift gears.

Santa Barbara is a perfect example with Cruz/Eden ending up being a couple vs the original plan of Cruz/Santana and Eden/Warren.  So it isn't out of the realm for plans to shift down the line.

@BetterForgottenMy thinking about if there will be any shifts/changes would most likely be four to six months into the future since the show taped about 12 weeks in advance before it debuted and probably wrote several more episodes ahead of them being filmed.

That will definitely be a shift, but it can come sooner than that. I'm extremely ready to see the fallout from May sweeps and that first contract cycle, let's put it that way lol.

Pamela is closer to Rosanna Cabot IMO, who was upper-class, was fiercely intelligent and articulate in Cady's first run on ATWT and was very different from Dixie Martin. Pamela is a more outsize and comic version of that same type, but I don't see her as very different yet from Vanessa myself. They will need to highlight her breeding and intellect to make that work, but then they'll actually have to give them uniquely distinct roles. Which I don't think they have yet myself. But as i said, I do think they can and should both exist.

I'm really not, but I'm not hearing any direct answers from you. Is BTG trash? Are you still mad you don't work there and never will? Are you pleased with the ratings? I hope you find contentment in some other field or vocation in life. Other than writing soaps, I mean. Since you don't.

    • Hehe, twi/x actually x, formerly Twitter. Typically I find 2 sources for "crazy fan rumors" - the wrong parts of FB and x. Oy.
    • Not to hijack the thread, but was that character Justine? I just found this interview online with Logan and see what you're talking about - wow!   http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/chat85.html
    • My bad….ill fix that  Fixed
    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
