Johnny has balls??!!!

I bet!!

Today's episode was better but that's not much of a stretch considering how bad the show has been.

It really is good to have Theresa back again.

Amy didn't know about EJ crimes yet she knew about Theresa being in jail.

Johnny and Chanel adopting the baby is still a bad idea.

Mumbles always ruins scenes. The cliffhanger didn't match the promo. I wonder if tomorrow the director will reshoot the ending. I was hoping Mumbles would've told Johnny the truth today.

I kind of agree, but then again, after suffering through Body & Soul for months it might just look a lot better in comparison. But then again - I don't think Ron was fired as much as he reached the end of a contract cycle and was let go. But who knows how many months in advance he was let known? They might've given him directions or something to follow to even out the transition to the new writers. He obviously didn't just come into the office one day and was let go in the middle of writing scripts. Otherwise I'd feel there'd be a lot more immediate changes.

Then again, as much as I'm loving the build up to

But then again, that we're finally getting secrets that have been boiling for decades finally coming out I don't mind predictable storytelling.

As much as I don't mind Roman telling Johnny the truth, I will always feel like this is Lucas's moment and secret to share.  Roman's been mostly okay with EJ for years.  It's strange for him to be the one to deliver the news even if Sami is his daughter.

I know the show has no use for BD or Lucas.  I just always thought he would be the one to spill the beans.

Yep

And it was good seeing him not take any of EJ’s crap. And so much better than that hatchet job that he got during that Body&Soul nonsense.

As for Roman, usually I can understand him but today was different

I hope we find out the real story someday. I’ve had so many suspicions, and after today’s episode, I have more.

I guess Ron could’ve known that he was gonna be out once his contract was up, but we didn’t know lol and Days usually isn’t good at keeping secrets

We knew Abigail was gonna die 6 months before it even happened

Absolutely.  Too many losses.

Josh T. looks mostly the same as he always has and fairly healthy so maybe he got a new pair of dentures or some tooth work done.

ETA-that's not shade.  I have veneers on my front teeth and sounded slurry for a week after and I was in perfect health lol.

Dear Mr. Taylor

We have a good news/bad news situation. Unfortunately, due to a mathematical error, we accidentally replaced your normal 32 teeth, with 42 teeth.  Bad news, annunciation is bound to be a challenge.  Good news, ten extra teeth, no extra charge.

Keep chomping ice,

The Soapiest Moment of the Day has got to go to Belle and Marlena.  Belle has just learned that her 77-year-old mother is going to go put her life in danger, and she responds by whining about not finding the love of her life.  I'm mean,,,, maybe let the woman focus on her stuff for a moment?

Potentially, if someone allowed Amy to speak for more than 90 seconds at a time, we could finally understand her motives.  Is she doing all of this to save face among her church community?  Is it to punish Sophia?  Is her husband a tyrant?  Let's get to know her so that she doesn't just seem like a shrew with excellent timing,

I was honestly surprised by EJ's confession today.  It made me wonder if his twisted mind has not allowed him to equate what he did to Sami, versus what Arnold did to Sami.  But, I would assume Sami has made her feelings about both events quite clear.  So, even if EJ's value system was askew at the time of Johnny's conception, he is currently aware of the consequences.  It was a good scene, once again ruined a bit by being cut into mini-scenes, rather than just allowing us to watch the entire discussion at once.

Yet, I felt the same way as Johnny when he expressed surprise at his father's remorse; which is a tantalizing setup for tomorrow's fall.

I would counter that since it is 2025, there can be resolution without redemption.

There has to be some way of writing a reason why they could both co-exist in the same town.

While I don't wish for an exit.  It is also a given that he'll never find peace or happiness.  Except for the brief moments with Sami, he has never felt love since he committed a savage crime.

Note:  It is not my intention to say that IRL EJ's internal pain would qualify as justice for his heinous actions.  I am simply saying that according to soap universe justice, he can never be written as satisfied because of the character's history.  And given those rules, there are not a lot of story possibilities for a man who must stay at the brink of misery for the rest of his fictional life.

Also, I must give credit to some clever character work that is enabling the eventual fall to be compelling. I really found myself in Johnny's shoes at the end of the episode.  It suddenly seemed more realistic why Johnny had never talked to EJ about the animosity between his parents.  And to hear Johnny say to Chanel that he was surprised by EJ's remorse is a clever twist before we know that, as Maggie said on Wednesday, 'nothing stay a secret in Salem.' (whereas in real life things stay secret all the time, my parents died never knowing that I dented their mailbox with my car when I was 16, if I grew up in Salem, soap universe justice (SUJ) would have made me wear a prosthetic thumb forever).

I suspect that's the case - I've noticed he only ever seems to talk with the lower part of his mouth. He doesn't look unhealthy, so yeah - I think botched or ongoing dental work.

I agree with those that say that it should've been Lucas flipping out. I think BD would've also given the scene more gravitas than JT can at the moment.
