Listen, I think this back and forth about the word "underdog"is getting kinda petty. Which I think is unnecessary. I write from my heart and don't want to then have to proof and defend every word I use and... if a certain word is appropriate and etc. I don't have the free time to do this. Your opinion is as valid as mine. But If you need to feel like you are right - okay, you are. But I still stand by what I said. Maybe I am mistaken... maybe I don't possess a perfect level of the English language...I'm sorry... It is the only language I have never used to speak and communicate other than this forum. So it's possible that I may be incorrect. But the words "underdog" and "outsider" are considered synonyms by every dictionary I checked. Maybe they are all wrong and you are right. Anyhow, when I stated my opinion I said that it's my POV. I don't think I'm wrong, so I am not going to say it. That's it. And of course I am using the words in the context of the storyline and the character.

Just skip it. You totally & completely misunderstood. I could care less about being "right". As far as I am concerned this has nothing to do with "right" or "wrong" either for that matter. We were both speaking contextually & I suggested that we simply see the character of Hayley differently. English being your second language here is irrelevant. Why? Because you do fine. Not a problem, at all. So, to me, we had reached a point of agreeing to disagree. For you, that is not where you are. Okay, whatever.

And, BTW, I don't see any pettiness.

What I was about to say was how much fun we are all having doing live time, rapid fire, posting about BTG!

I don't think there has to be a male with the surname Dupree to pass down the name through the next generations.   A woman can be born with the surname Dupree and pass it down to her offspring, regardless of whether she marries anyone of a different surname or not.

As we all are enjoying Leslie, I hope MVJ avoids the trap many soap writers get in of writing villains into a corner. I feel like they tend to go too far but then want to keep the character on and either have to retcon an illness or make everybody on the show look stupid to justify keeping them on. If she goes too far, let her go to prison and write her off similar to how Bill Bell wrote off Michael Baldwin but then brought him back years later after he'd gone to prison and was rehabilitated.

So we wearing black today to the wedding?

I thought yesterday's episode was the low key of the bunch. But given what's going down today (and you know I'm looking forward to that Friday cliffhanger  ), this was a nice calm before the storm.

I liked the Naomi/Bill scenes. Naomi, for me, has not have much agency since the first episode. And also we have yet to see her with her father so those were good. I like Bill and feel Timon continue to show layers. But the one layer I don't feel I've seen yet has been pure menace that I expect from the soap trope he represents. That said...Naomi...you...betta...READ.

Why yes, @kalbir, I do love a hair toss/diva head turn have at you. Joan Collins on Season 2 of THE ROYALS. Jill Foster Abbott with her whore hair in the Y&R opening from the 2000s. Dr. O when she appeared in 2013 for the 50th on GH. And now here's Chelesa during her model shot. I've been looking forward to that hair toss since the trailer dropped. And I was NOT disappointed. Mmmm...worth the wait. And now that I know who Chelesa is, I love it even more.

But I loved everything about those scenes. You got to see more of Dani's dynamic with her and Kat. Like I said the other day, Dani continues to be played as no saint even as you feel sorry for her. And she still don't even know that Chelesa and Kat are about to cut her out. And then...Andre...

MMmm...Andre. I ain't mad at you, Dani!!!!  And they had chemistry, too. So another avenue for Dani to go down. Well, if we didn't already know Andre is a player. Still...I loved their scenes and how he tamed the shrew...for now. And that dance to smooth music. YES. Love in the afternoon is soooooo back!!

And speaking of music, none of it felt artificial and that I love so much. It made me want to go out and figure out who sung what...and that's a BIG sign to how great a show is to me because a lot of the shows/movies I like WILL have me wanting to hunt down the music I heard on them. Meanwhile, I don't know if the bar set is part of the other bar set. If not, I love both of them.

I liked Ashley/Derek and Jacob/Naomi hanging out at the bar. Like real friend couples. Kinda dull, but it gave us a little more info on all the characters as Ashley continued to worry about her job.

LMAO at @Cheap21!!! SilkyPressed Sheila it is!!! I had time running around work and saw that and hollered.

I guess typing all this out, this episode was all about the B plots and C plots. I don't mind that. Because there are sooooo many dynamics to explore on this show...some we haven't even seen yet (I see you in the background of Hayley's surprise party, Alex!)...and I just want to devour it all.

    • Also, isn’t there supposed to be a storyline with Mariah and Tessa? Mariah cheating or something (keeping some kind of secret) and they were only on screen 2 and 3 times this month. Like what? How am I supposed to care when I barely see them?
    • Definitely wouldn't trust Dinah right now haha.  But that's great to know Billy comes back soon!  I'm excited for that. If he's at the boardinghouse, then I guess he does get closer to Nola perhaps, and then he'll be around Peter/Bridget and J, who is currently in his orbit along with Michelle and Dahlia, and Marcus is at the boardinghouse, so maybe they go the teenage story route most of this time until Billy gets back.
    • Sounds like me, but I prefer to be referred to as Contessa. We all know I can go a long time not paying attention to certain things.  And, if I might add, hey there dude, you effed up pretty good this time and I think this was your last chance. So don't let the door hit you in your behind as you go BYE MOMMY!
    • That did cross my mind at first, but I'd be more inclined to believe it if this didn't involve Trump. I'm not at all sure he is capable of being that sneaky. Of course, there's always a possibility I guess that his advisors are doing it without telling him, but that seems awfully risky. Trump is such a loose cannon you can never predict what he's going to do or say.
    • Whoa. She should have fought like hell to get that. Was it the greatest show ever? No, but it had a fantastic cast and was practically guaranteed to last multiple seasons because of its star power. Could have certainly led to bigger and better things. If it had flopped she could have always gone back to soaps. Judith Light broke through on a sitcom where she was basically second banana to Tony Danza. That grew into a very busy and distinguished career. The woman is still regularly booked to this day.
    • I could understand her being frustrated by the fact that she'd been in the business 10+ years at that point, and probably couldn't even get in the door. But then again, she'd already gone out for pilot season once (that we know of) and she and  her agent knew a 35-ish woman had a very difficult time in Hollywood. I know she did a few guest spots, but other than Designing Women, nothing I saw--not even a Murder She Wrote, and that show had tons of ex-soapers on it. I mean, God bless Marilu Henner, but even having been on Taxi, she couldn't get arrested for years either.
    • I didn't rewatch that period, so I'm not really sure how much Bill is on. I recall something about him living at the boardinghouse. I think Van made Matt his guardian, and why she didn't name Josh would be a mystery to me, other than the HW decided they needed to keep Bill in Matt's sphere. Nola is also his aunt, although they don't know each other well, and Van wouldn't have trusted her anyway. There's Dinah---but she's unreliable. Billy gets out of jail around NYE.

    • That's on Kimmer. As someone posted above...she was offered roles in pilots but she would be part of an ensemble or supporting. She didn't want that so she came back to GL. I don't know what she thought would happen..someone offering her "Here's Kimmer!" or The "Zimmer Comedy Powerhouse Hour" variety show..but her housefrau fans did not have the same pull in HW as they did on the soaps. Forbes and Watros knew that you had to take small parts to get noticed ands start a career in primetime. I know she was in consideration for the wife in Evening Shade, but when you go up against Marilou Henner, the soap diva looses. I could see her frustrated in a role like that, where she has to be the understanding wife with a bit of sass, but she could have made it work, if it wasnt for her huge ego.  I think it would have been an issue haveing all the powerhouse comedy actors surrounding...(lets face it..Alice Ghostly woudl have wiped the floor with her...) but it would have been a good launching padd.
