TBF, Nicole seems to already be over it so it looks like we'll get other characters reacting to her being ridiculous. I think that's what's missing on soaps these days.

Anita too!

But, I enjoyed everyone. I didn't have a problem with the white people like you all did. I watched their scenes with interest wondering how they'll figure into the story. I noticed Ashley had one of those ominous, "I'm never going to lose you" lines to her husband , which made me think he's going to die sooner rather than later. She instantly connects to Naomi/Jacob and Andre, who we know from the promo will soon connect with Dani so if Ben does die (maybe grasping at speculative straws), Ashley could be embroiled in Dani's chaotic life quite easily. It makes me wonder if MVJ will take the Bill Bell or Agnes Nixon approach when it comes to integrating the cast.

I also get the feeling that Derek is here for a good time not a long time. Firefighter is a particularly ominous occupation on a soap. I can imagine the loss of Derek, maybe with Ashley trying to save him, being a formative experience for her character. Something that will give her more depth, because so far I'm not getting anything.

I am in LOVE!!!! 🩷❤️🧡💚💛🩵💙💜🖤🩶🤍🤎💜💜

I think it's Martin; we didn't see their son, did we?!

When II saw the initial trailers, II thought she and her ex were still married and she was just catching him cheating. But nah it happened some time ago, they divorced and he's about to remarry. Plus their child is a grown 23 year old. It sucks but she's gonna have to get over it and move on

I hope/assume Dani's initial arc is her moving on from what happened with her ex.

I have a feeling there will be tensions between the sisters and if so, finding out if there is a cause for the tension and if the parents contributed to that or not.

Something I love about the Dani/Nicole interactions is how Dani keeps trying to provoke Nicole, but Nicole the shrink knows exactly what Dani is trying to do and doesn't take the bait. It's a sibling dynamic that is very true to life.

Nicole is the first-born prodigy who was expected to over-achieve and be the best at everything. Dani is the screw-up who was babied her entire life and never felt the need to be accountable for anything in her life.

Okay, cool. Yeah, that's already been confirmed since the character breakdowns and announcements for casting. I thought we were thinking Martin's son was the one y'all were talking about since it said "politician's son."

In that case, current politician Martin is the grandson of former politician Vernon, not his son.

@Cheap21, this show has so many interesting female characters. I feel as though this Friday might merit a return of an old tradition…👀👀 only if the spirit moves you, though.
