Got behind on DAYS. Kinda can imagine how it happened. Tried to catch up this weekend. Not gonna make it all the way. I've had this little devil on my left shoulder & it says, WTH the show is awful right now, why not take a break till the third week in April? But, on the other shoulder is an angel who resembles Alice Horton & she has a plate of donuts & she is reminding me that I have watched this show off & on, but mostly on, since 1970. Obviously I'm picking the donut lady. But, I really shouldn't read or post so I’ll see ya on the flip side.

I'm catching up on the last two weeks now because I got curious about Rachel Blake / "Woman in White" resurfacing and wow, when people say the show is awful at the moment is an understatement. Body & Soul is completely eating this show up alive and it doesn't even make sense why these characters are so invested in keeping it going. Why on earth are all these working professionals moonlighting on this show? Why are people who've never had an interest in acting doing the show?

Also, the Javi / Leo relationship really does not ring true does it? Not because Leo and Javi can't necessarily be together but... it just comes of as a wish fulfillment from a certain head writer. Leo is an (immature) gay man in his 40s and this young hot stud is just willing to drop everything to be with him... for reasons. Then you have all other characters propping up how great Leo is despite him having done terrible things to most of them... Again, Ron is Mary Sue-ing this so hard.

I often feel when fans are complaining about the show being horrible they're often being hyperbolic, but April really can't come fast enough at this point. If there was ever a time to do a time jump and start with a blank slate, now is the time. The shows needs to be rebooted hard.

The show has been very painful to watch. It has not been good. There is way too much Leo. He is in everyone's story.

I truly wish Days had squashed Ron's last three months of episodes. The show would've been only 5 to 6 months ahead. Instead of the insane 8 to 9 months ahead.

The show was at #9 for most of this past week. The show has never performed that low.

Hoping April arrives quickly!

SMH @ this Rafe/Jada crap

I can’t believe this storyline was botched so badly. So many times, Days has set itself up for a great storyline but rushed it in favor of something else. Something else that’s either not as good or just flat out awful. (Hi, Dimitri!)

And Rafe/Jada was no different.

This is another thing that I’m hoping we don’t see with the new writers.

Btw, I really hate those stupid ass faces that Galen Gering makes when he’s Fake Rafe. Even more than JPL’s

EJ and Belle were hot though. I don’t see them as this endgame couple or anything but I like what this could lead to for the two of them and all the other characters involved with them. I just hope that Belle isn’t dumbed down in the process.

And again, poor Javi.

I assume RonC didn't want to re-visit Bobby/Everett, but it was a better option to pin something on Jada.  The current story doesn't include any specifics.  I don't get why Shawn would jump to conclusions when a file is just dropped on his desk?  And, if EJ was the DA at the time, wouldn't he be negligent in prosecuting crimes that Jada bent the rules to solve?

Meanwhile, they could've said that Jada was too slow in getting help for Bobby when he overdosed (which is kind of true).  And that Stephanie was covering for her as a friend.  That would have made more sense, and because it happened while Rafe was in a coma, it would've been logically both a surprise and disappointment to him (or fake-him, in this case).

Galen Gering has never been a good dramatic actor, though I legitimately rate him when it comes to comedy, and today was no exception. There were times I thought Gering was losing himself in just being Rafe, but he did do enough to show the audience Arnold was just playing the part.

Elia Cantu did her best to overcome the stodgy material. She's been one of the bright spots since my return as a regular viewer. Her and Raven Bowens would thrive on a show that knew how to better showcase their talent.

I also thought Al Calderon could have been so much better and the whole reveal itself if horrible Leo/Greg Rikaart wasn't around tanking the climax of the story by making everything seem so superfluous. Jackée Harry needs to do her reputation a favour and quit (maybe I'm being selfish) cause she is constantly horrible and isn't much better than Rikaart's awfulness.

Does anyone know when

returns? I wonder (and hope) she'll be around to catch out Arnold and EJ. It would put her in the perfect anti-heroine spot she deserves.

@Bright Eyes There was a lot of foreshadowing today, but it was kind of funny that they brought up EJ's ex-wife today and not (a) when he got married to her sworn enemy, (b) when her sworn enemy left town with her brother, (c) when her son got married, (d) when her kidnapper/ex-husband got out of jail, etc, etc, etc...

I don't know exactly, but I think that actor filmed for only a few days.  The show might distribute the scenes over a longer period of airdates though.
It's also possible that the actor filmed more than one short run.

Edit to add: they posted a pic of a Days dressing room on August 6th. But per Jason47 (link) the set was dark that week.  So who knows when they actually filmed.

A complete Body&Soul day.

Episodes like today are the reason why the idea of Ron attempting a suicide mission still hasn’t left my mind because I don’t see how any person can think this is good. Hopefully, somebody at BTG is watching him like a hawk. And hopefully, the new writers at Days are watching Jamey Giddens just as much.

Stephanie quitting her job to be with Alex is pathetic and makes her character look weak and dumb. And her excuses were all bullshit. I’d rather she go back to Philip.

Johnny and Chanel’s problems being all wrapped up in a nice, neat little bow shows how pointless that all was too. They’re another example of Days setting up a possible good storyline for a character but then rushing it in favor of something else that’s not as good.

And of course, the cancer of Days had to make an appearance as well

And yeah, poor Abe and Kate and Kayla.

Update, I see that the actor posted on IG on August 6 with pic of dressing room, but it wasn't intended to convey them taping that day.   I see that tvinsider did an article about the return that was published August 6, so the ig post was in reference to that.   The tvinsider article didn't give any upcoming airdates, it just mentions the return, so I have no idea when it will air.
