This is generally the result of national news coverage. In addition, the Wednesday, January 8 episode of many shows was impacted by coverage of former President Jimmy Carter lying in rest in Washington, D.C. TODAY with Hoda & Jenna (aka Today with Jenna & Friends), TODAY 3rd Hour, and The View were retitled due to ABC and NBC News coverage directly related to coverage. Meanwhile, the first half-hour of The Price is Right was completely preempted/excluded from the ratings that day, and the second half-hour only aired for 24 minutes, per Nielsen.
