It's quite clear to me that a new romance/affair/something is brewing for Brooke. I just pray and hope to God it's not something from the past... like Nick, Thorne, Bill and etc.

I think Brooke needs a completely NEW man. Someone we haven't seen before on the show. With the charm of Hollis, maybe a little older than Hollis... Or... why not  little younger if Bradley wants to scandalize it. Nicole Kidman just had a huge hit movie with Babygirl - a story about a woman Brooke's age... who... is also a CEO btw, I just found that paralel, LOL, having an affair with a guy that is 30 years younger. So it's current, it's something people want to see right now. Maybe Bradley can Babygirl-the show up and give Brooke something fresh and meaty.

A girl can only dream!

That slap was sooooo good!!  "Your second choice." hahahaha  After Friday's episode, I was so disappointed in Brooke for begging Ridge to take her back, even after he called her daughter all those names and blamed Hope for the actions of Carter and Thomas - like they weren't responsible for their own actions.   It was so misogynistic.

That scene was... like for a quick moment... a near minute... we were back in classic Bold, when Bill Bell used to bring this magic in practically every other episode. I loved the dramatic contrast of Brooke gently holding his face, to then suddenly flip into rage. This is classic Brooke. Something we haven't seen in a looong time. The final moment... with her walking up in her stunning blue dress... getting to the door and pushing Fake-Taylor away like she is some kind of annoying mosquito... was the cherry on top.

YES! Thank you for posting the clip since I'm back to reading recaps. KKL played that perfectly. Oh, and props to TK - his facial expressions and sneer - gave KKL exactly the right cues for the caress/slap. If only Bridge could be put six feet into the ground.

I caught up with a couple of episodes last night.

B&B going all 2024 and using such fancy sh*t such as deepfakes. It was a bit (okay, super stilted) stilted but at least sth. new.

to the contrary: Brooke/Ridge/NuNuTaylor are an offense to everyone involved. Most importantly viewers. I don’t get why they recasted Taylor with this actress. She is horrible and doesn’t work at all. A different character would have at least pretended that this is a different story.

the show continues to be super flat. Nothing really sparkles these days. Sad!

I loved when she told him... I regret ever stepping foot in this house, my mother accepting that catering job. I got goosebumps.

I hope that this means that Brooke will remain CEO at Forrester Creations a good while and that the company flourishes under her management. I want to see her rub Steffy's face in that a long, long time.

I want her to instruct the security not to let Ridge or Taylee in the building. And I want her to throw all of Steffy's things out of the building. Pack them in a box and throw them out!

    • One of the dumbest situations (Lando) ever. What audience member is going to invest in a storyline with a recast they don't like and a triangle where one character is short-term? It bombed as it should have done. So much of JFP's tenure just reeks of desperation. I don't get how someone could produce SB (which did have flaws but was often brilliant) but make so many terrible mistakes at GL.   I still think JFP would have worked better as a director and music supervisor. Her music work at SB was top notch.

Article (not that you'd want to read it, just proof that it unfortunately exists) https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/01/style/trump-style-100-days.html non-paywall copy: https://archive.is/ICe7U
    • We see the same with GH, where Mark Teschner, the casting director, reportedly has less say since Frank Valentini took over. Some producers want to take over every aspect of their shows.  I think Lando may have been a CBS push.
    • No idea but she won Emmys & she was the Casting Director at the same time for both ATWT & GL. She hired Lisa Brown with no job for her. Then Marland made Brown his muse so he created both Iva & Nola for her. But, I think we know that Jill does what Jill wants.
    • I did notice a decline in the quality of the performers being cast once Betty R vacated/retired from her position. We would have been spared from the nightmares of some of the castings that dominated the show in the last decade or so of the soap. JFP was an example of someone, no matter the gender, who had no business being in the position they were in.
    • If Betty Rea was the casting director, why was so much of GL during JFP's reign cast by her? Walker, Deas, Crampton, Lando, etc. JFP takes credit for Dusay as well. What is the point of having a casting director, if you don't let her do her job? What happened when Rea left?
    • So much on here slips my mind but this is the first I remember hearing of Peterson's passing. Very sad. Nell was a thankless role, clearly set up for a cheating storyline with Frank, but Peterson did her best.  Betty Rea Rea was the casting director for the soap opera “Guiding Light” from 1970 to 1996 and simultaneously the casting director for “As the World Turns” from 1979 to 1983.
    • Sorry, just one more post on the Thorntons. How did Ruth and Edna feel about each other prior to Tad dating Dotty?
    • I can't remember exactly but I think it may be 1995 as Jake was trying to hide from a loan shark.
