The grounds are apparently crawling with security, although unlike the copious bodyguards that Sonny has, we never see them (and where they were when Sonny killed Jagger is anyone's guess). The only person we usually see is Yuri, who was originally Valentin's man but stayed on after Valentin left the mansion three years ago (possibly because - as it was heavily hinted though I don't think confirmed - he was sleeping with Monica back then, though he is supposed to be with Terry now).

Heck, I don't think we ever saw the nanny until Tuesday's episode.

I feel two ways about that option. I feel relatively confident he is dogmeat now, whereas Mulcahey had reshaped him a somewhat more decent and less skeevy power broker/lothario. You're right that Drew could continue regardless of going full heel, but the issue is that GH in the 2020s doesn't know how to keep those kind of darker characters long-term unless they are guest stars playing cartoon villains who Frank Valentini suddenly becomes enamored of and doesn't want to lose.

Drew is clearly the sanctimonious jerk of the story but it hasn’t been “only next step is murder” energy to me.

My biggest issue with the Q’s when I tuned back in was how boring and saccharine they all were, we finally have one living up to the family name. I’d rather they not just dump the character by senselessly killing him.

Eden McCoy's IMDb has been updated with some new pictures, including a few with her sporting brunette hair and honestly... it looks semi-good on her, despite the wig in one shot and the [obvious] Photoshopping in this featured one.

One of the problems with Mathison is just a general cold, unpleasant vibe onscreen. That's one of the reasons the character seemed so hated by fans even when he was written as exclusively "good." It's also one of the reasons I'm not sure how well he can work long-term as a villain because he can't really do balance.

I do think Frank would be reluctant to let him go, which is why I doubt he's going anywhere. It's up to ABC, as I imagine Frank never wanted to let Michael Easton go.

I don't know that I agree - I think Cameron's vibe is more that of an endlessly genial TV show host, which in part comes from his spending years as on-air talent for shows in the Access Hollywood/Extra genre. That can certainly come off very plastic and artificial but I've never found him cold or unpleasant except in Ryan Lavery's worst years. More smarmy, smooth or just plain cheesy. But I do think he still has a lot of charm when utilized well. Or he can easily come off sleazy and skeevy, which Drew is clearly supposed to now.

Fans took to his Drew early on when he was rescued in Greece and before he became Carly's latest sanctimonious enabler; that's when they quickly turned on him, in a self-righteous role that did not play to CM's specific strengths. The reaction to Mulcahey's Drew Q last year was certainly mixed but it was also somewhat baked in due to his spending several years as Carly's howling purseholder. Which is all he ever was to this creative team: A replacement part for Jason.

I'm not so sure. The show is very clearly painting Drew and Willow as in the wrong in this story, and is presenting Drew specifically as the supreme heavy and baddie, and GH has very little appetite for long-term, more organic 'bad' or ne'er-do-well characters or schemers who don't come from the outside like Sidwell or Cyrus to ramble on through endless stories that go nowhere. Drew is a more organic outgrowth of an antagonist than those cartoons, which means he may need to go, and Cameron neither comes from OLTL nor do I think he is super cheap. Which makes me think he will go soon. Do I think FV might hold on to him longer out of sympathy re: the fires and his personal struggles? Yes. Would it be the first time a soap has cut an actor in a sad or inconvenient IRL situation? Nope.

    • If Sally Field had been more generous about the writing I would say that her assessment is really very fair. I found Soapdish very funny. The cast is great. Delirious with John Candy and Mariel Hemingway (and Emma Samms!) came out the same year and I had expected to prefer Delirious, but Soapdish is one that I can watch repeatedly.
    • I love SOAPDISH but I think TOOTSIE is better. Generally I am quite fond of gender-benders. VICTOR, VICTORIA, most favorite.
    • On GL we only saw young GA's Philip in very short shorts but on AMC we saw GA's Alec McIntyre in a speedo.  But, on GL, an older GA/Philip is having sex with Olivia in a hotel room where Bruce Barry was directing & he & she both end up down to nothing but black underwear & at one point his bicep is covering her entire upper body so it appears that she is naked. I think they ended up on the floor between the bed & the wall. That was when I realized that Grant's body was better than Steve Burton's. (Olivia was cheating. Her husband Alan was in the hospital.) It is notable that I can speak with any insight AT ALL about these bodies since that is not the team I play for! LOL
    • I mentioned that last week and I am glad Tate and Sophia just realized that today lol.  I think the show is just tying up some of Ron's loose ends.   You would think Brady, Holly or even Marlena would have perhaps pointed out the age thing to Tate at some point. I am not sure I like this shift in Sophia's characterization though.  MK played Sophia as someone who always defied her mom's rules-she just didn't get caught.  She was openly trying to steal Tate from Holly with no shame, showing up at the Horton cabin in bikinis to seduce him, and blackmailing Holly to work all her shifts at the Bistro.  Once the recast started the show has acted like Sophia's lived in her room, sheltered her entire life lol.
    • I thought Dante was going to put hands on Gio
    • If Jordan never appeared again, I would absolutely not notice or miss her.  So, while Brook Kerr has her flaws, she at least appears to have a pulse and a personality as Portia.
    • That's because India, or the India MKA ended up playing, was created due to the fact that both she and Kristi Farrell were liked by TPTB, but the part they both read for didn't exactly fit either one of them so the show created two brand new characters for both actresses to play (India and Roxie) and opted not to cast the character they were intending to cast (A cousin of Beth's). I think that's why the show seemed to struggle at first with how to write both India and Roxie in their first months on the show because the characters weren't ever intended to exist.  And yes.. Grant A had a great body... but I didn't find him hot when he was playing Phillip.. only when he was playing Alec on AMC which baffles me since it was the same actor in both parts LOL
    • I shared this on Twitter and good grief the comments. Steffy fans can be such vile real-life human beings over a fictional character lol.
    • I remember Michael Logan interviewed L.A. actors/production staff about the movie. Susan Seaforth Hayes said she was dying to know Susan Lucci's reaction.
    • Thanks @Franko  @slick jones You may be interested in the Elisabeth Shue mention. I have to laugh that they apparently didn't even know Teri Hatcher was on Capitol. I have scans somewhere of SPW talking with soap actors about Soapdish. Some, like Mary Stuart, were not happy. I never had a lot of interest in the movie myself.
