Not a chance

Thanks.

I wasn’t sure at first, but then I remembered Lois and Olivia referring to each other as “Cuz”

But in this case, it’s the precious Sonny-Carly kid that can do no wrong, who’s getting cheated on

And the way this regime feels about all of them, no matter how awful they are, I can see them making Drew and Willow the bad guys in this case.

Not nearly as good.

Structurally, it was strange it was at the beginning of the show.  I know GH has been preempted so days are off, but it feels like the montage should have been a Friday cliffhanger and the rest of yesterday's episode should have been the fallout on a Monday.

I remarked elsewhere that this week has seemed to me to be like a Sweeps month which January is NOT. But the activity level alone seems Sweeps-ish to me & yes, certain days seem like it's Friday & cliffhanger content, not some random Tuesday!

Of course the very first moments of the first scene were horribly off-putting to me. I hate these strange camera angles, whether they're from downlow looking up or this one way up high in a corner looking down at Lucy. They do this so often that they are meaning to do it. I guess they think it looks edgy?

The actress playing Brooklyn is pregnant right? She looks huge on this show so its puzzling why they refuse to write the pregnancy in considering the character is actively trying to get pregnant. They'll have to write her out in a few months anyway

The show keeps saying and had Carly talk about how impulsive and head strong Josslyn is, more so than she is but Im not seeing that. Josslyn is nothing like Carly in her younger days or even now

I was never crazy about Laura Wright's Carly. She never felt Carly to me, more like an aging ingenue. These days I love her. She looks older, tougher and... like a Carly.

If they plan to continue this thing with Drew, they must recast Willow. He looks like a pervert with a 14-year old. The actress acts like she is on Swans Crossing.

The last I knew Amanda Setton was not pregnant IRL but time has passed & she might be now.

Sofia Mattson is pregnant IRL. (Sasha) I thought that this was known & had been stated. If not, apologies.

When do you think it changed for you? It's kind of crazy to me, to think of how long LW has been playing this role! I think my favorite things about LW's Carly are that there's been enough time & enough differences in the writing that we've seen real change in Carly with some of that being growth & some of it just being difference. And I also love that she is one of the biggest cheerleaders of the show & of her colleagues that I think I've ever seen on any soap. Last, I love that she has such an excellent attitude about her character's haters & in general fans on social media. Yesterday she had made a positive post about her & Steve, as friends & colleagues on the show & some poster posted that they did not like Carly & Jason & she replied, "Why do you follow me then?" and I literally did laugh out loud.

I am not aware of Sofia Mattson or Amanda Setton making any announcements about being pregnant so we probably shouldn't speculate.

I think the boxy blazers AS wears are just unflattering.  She generally looks the same as she has for years to me.

For me, Amanda Setton has stepped into Kirsten Storms territory, ie: letting the actor dictate how the character is dressing. I hated it when Storms was [apparently] doing it, and I hate that [it appears] Setton is now doing it. But, truthfully, the styling for Setton's Brook Lynn has never been to my liking or what I believe the character should be wearing.

The only online place I can find it is Celeb Dirty Laundry, which is known for being an unreliable, gossip-type rag with people who think they're journalists. And, of course, other rags and unreliable websites (and Facebook groups who believe anything written) have picked up the unfounded story.

I was going to say it's going into KS territory too.  AS seems to be picking things that she is comfortable in, but don't look the best on camera.

AL's styling as Brook Lynn was the polar opposite and looked cheap too.  There has to be a happy medium between covering it all up like Setton and doing whatever Leon was doing.  BLQ doesn't have to wear the wild things Lois sometimes wears, but you think she'd at least take some inspiration from her mom and upbringing and be more adventurous.

    • I know Passions used this trope with Ethan and Sam to drag out the paternity, but GH seems to speed through certain stories while dragging others.
    • For any other soap, I think I’d agree, but GH, I don’t know

    • Agreed, that there was some strange choices in the episode, especially at the end, but overall, that was some great drama that opens up the potential for so much future storyline. Kat vs. Eva having the most potential, especially over Tomas. I have mixed feelings about Martin/BC though. I thought he did pretty well in scenes with Smitty/MM, but the scenes of him confronting Leslie and of him throwing the books were bad lol she acted circles around him.  It’s similar to what Harding Lemay said about George Reinholt at AW; he could be brilliant in one scene, but then mediocre in the next.
    • I know some of y'all really like Brooke Kerr, and so I've tried to give her a shot, despite her frequent flat line readings and distracted "did I leave the front door unlocked?" facial expressions. But lord, she is so bad at playing a tough-talking badass that I was actually rooting for Brad today to spill the beans to Drew.
    • Googling does tend to ruin it.  For those of us who were teens in the late 1970s and early 1980s, you can't imagine how much fun it was to watch the show in the afternoons.  (It came on right after school.)  There weren't any "spoilers" at the time.  We would always try to anticipate how each crime and each mystery would be resolved, and we were ALWAYS wrong, because the stories are filled with so many weird twists and turns.   The head writer (Henry Slesar) and his dialogue writer (Steve Lehrman) invariably toss genuine clues directly into your face in the most unlikely ways, but then they provide a host of "red herrings" to completely confuse you and send you off on the wrong path.  Once the story reaches its conclusion, all you can think is Why didn't I figure that out weeks ago?  lol
    • Does the vault have the original scene and not the short flashback?
    • I appreciate that you are using AI with the knowledge of it's limitations. Some posters take everything it produces as fact.
    • And of course Mama Ru herself appeared on All My Children.
    • The Saturday 8pm slot usually had the lowest rating of the NBC 4 sitcom lineup for some reason. NBC let Saturday night fizzle, They used 9.30 pm to launch 227 and Amen, both of which moved to earlier in the evening but they  kept Empty Nest following GG for several seasons.  Empty Nest should have moved to 8pm with their strongest new sitcom at 9.30, anticipating that GG would eventually falter. Instead they left them there and stretching the sitcom pool too thinly on other nights. When Grand talk over at 9.30 Thurs maybe Night Court and Wings could have been used on Saturday.
