Did someone just post a spoiler in here?  Just reply with a yes or no.

Spoiler

Michael dies?

If so, I'm tired of people doing this.  Next time, I will give out warnings for posting big spoilers in discussion forums.

It's extremely creepy an older man stole one younger woman's egg and implanted it into another younger woman and created a baby without Lulu's consent.  Then still acts like he's the world's best father while taking his teenager on the run from the law and isolating her from her family and peers.  Valentin is creating a need for codependency and grooming her to believe she can only trust him.

Charlotte is obviously unwell and easily influenced.  You think Valentin would step away after Charlotte had to get mental help and was shot.  She has a large network of support in Port Charles, but he is being selfish and actively putting her in danger yet making it seem like it's all 15 year old Charlotte's choice.

It's a horrible story no one needed and the show is making it seem like there are no bad guys here.  I have 0 use for Charlotte, but GH is using her as a pawn to make Valentin likeable and human-not the weirdo he actually is.

WACKA, WACKA, WACKA!!!! ROLLING MY FRAKKING EYES.

It was bad enough that Valentin was back and he and Charlotte got away. But the Val propping...and THAT was propping. The 'PAPA's. Sasha refusing anything from Michael whom is RICH. Anna, Brennan, and the slapstickiness of the tazer. The lack of nuances in the Alexis vs Ava scenes when the history of just last year alone would have made those scenes great...even NLG looked a little checked out which is unlike her. Oh hell no. Again, I looked at the idea police aka HW. And well...my glare will stay right where it is with my theory.

I was at least happy there were nuggets that I did like. For one, Dante being there dealing with Lulu and Val. Outside of that, I didn't like the clear Val propping. I didn't like the wacky henchwoman (though I can't emphasis enough how much I love henchwomen). And Lulu's return...which was the first return in a good minute that was going well for me...has been completely derailed to prop a character that no one gives a frak about. And I AM NOT talking about Charlotte.

Yeah, in light of the spoiler, and watching all this stuff with Sasha/Michael/Willow/Drew, I'm starting to wonder if there has been a rewrite going on since Michael started to get all mournful about Willow rather than vengeful as he was a few weeks ago. Because the drama, the messiness, the scandal of it all was written RIGHT THERE. Yet...it has completely gone to nein. Sasha and Michael not growing closer? WIllow and Drew looking in love? Nina STILL an afterthought? They could have been heading to an organic climax to this storyline so the shear lack of any dramatic tension and the feel of the 'paint by numbers' narrative was extremely shocking at how doubled down it looked.

I guess it says everything that while Sonny was on that floor, I thought 2 things. ONE...DIE, SONNY, DIE!!! And TWO...given the rumors for the last few years, is MB finally retiring??? Cuz otherwise...where could this storyline go? Outside of Isaiah having a new secret. I mean I'll take a Sonny/Brenda reunion any way I can get it, but I doubt this is the way they would go. But since I am venting about the writing well...*shrugs* Heck, this happening while a vengeful Michael was around would be a chef's kiss for storyline purposes if Michael had to step in. Or dare I say it...Kristina...who even with my loss of love for her...I would STILL pick as Sonny's heir apparent as I have for years because it just made sense.

Like I said above, I expected so much more from an Alexis vs Ava scene. And we have definitely gotten that before. But I'm not hear for a begging Ava any more than I am here for a whiny Anna. Because BOTH women are capable of doing things alone and ON SCREEN. The slanted writing was just on screen. And I'm not here for that. And saying that basically reveal my feelings about those Anna vs Brennan scenes as well.

A waste of an episode.

I am wondering. I guess I'll find out within the hour since the labelling of these episodes look waaaay off.

Hulu posted Fridays episode twice. Even though one has the desc  of Jan 7, 2025 its both Jan 3, 2025

She also only exists to tie him in further to the show - with Luke and Laura's alleged grandchild.

I didn't even think about it that way, but it does.  UGH..

Yeah, I think Jason could at least invest in a computer and a better inventory system for the coffee warehouse lol.  Maybe an employee or two?

That would help. I think the problem is really the set itself. We credit GH sets a lot, but that coffee warehouse set is too large and expansive for the way they've dressed it.

Outside of the Val propping, that was much better. I was here for the Curtis/Nina scenes (getting freaky with it took me out), Dante vs Lulu, and surprisingly the Sonny/Jason scenes.

It was so weird to watch Jason say that. Because both times that I remember Jason running the mob, he ran it BETTER than Sonny. I believe one time I hoped that would lead to organic drama between him and Sonny when Sonny wanted it back because he was clearly jealous Jason ran it better than him. It...like the recent scenes of Ned acknowledging that he was happy Jason had finally moved back into the Q Mansion...showed some growth in Jason's character. I just wished that Jason saying that would lead to the writers actually showing more of Jason's non-mob life including his kids.

Dante vs Lulu was great because while I love AB's acting, Lulu HAS been annoying and feeling more like she has forgotten about Rocco. So good on Dante calling her out. And bringing up Sam. Masterful.

CW again showed how good she can be and how much of a shame she's an afterthought in her own storyline in those Nina/Curtis scenes. Curtis picking up on something going on with Drew/Nina and saying it was none of his business was funny. And him having the common sense to say that Nina could easily end it all by saying she has been sleeping with Drew, too. And just watching CW's face as Curtis talked to Nina as each and every point he made hit her BEFORE he dropped the bomb he figured they were sleeping together. It was subtle good work. And showed the depth that I was just typing above was messing in the episode before. It was nice to get Nina's POV again and overdue in this storyline.

I see now. But it also seem to be updating as quick as I posted that message. So hmmm.

Come on, it's fair because she was a test-tube baby! We can pile on & make it even worse by noting that the surrogate who carried her was named Claudette!

Very. I am not one to use the word propping likely and ever since he's been back in frame, that has been all that Valentin has gotten from the writing and stance. It's why I would have love for the writers to pull a Y&R JG and just have Lulu come back with Charlotte after finding her off-screen...something JG loves to do with his plots...well, the more interesting plots he has.

I haven't been watching but I noticed this comment online elsewhere:  They commented that on the January 3rd episode, it was simultaneously Christmas, the day after Christmas, and also some undefined date in January for Drew’s inauguration.

I didn't watch but I'm curious because, is this sort of thing common?

Or could this particular continuity confusion be related to the fact that the script editor Anne Schoettle hasn't appeared in the credits for a few days and is perhaps gone?  (I mean, if nobody at GH is editing for continuity)

I don't recall this specifically for the particular episode last week but in general both DAYS & GH do this kind of thing fairly often.

Thanks.  I was aware that Days did it often but I wasn't aware of GH because I watch it less frequently.

That would seem to me to be the nature of how they put episodes together, and how little care they are putting in attention to detail. They shoot out of order, based on a master schedule, not on a specific episode or even episodes from the same week. Sometimes things were filmed that show up weeks later, sometimes stuff just shot gets dropped in. Then the episodes are put together out of a bunch of filmed scenes. Sometimes it has a flow if they are telling a major story across several days a week. But often it is disjointed because of how they put the show together.

Catching up on a few episodes, shocked to see Laura actually dressed in something flattering and stylish!

All this Charlotte story is doing is making me grossed out. The background of how she came to be has always bothered me, propping Valentine bothers me, people accepting him as her “father” when she was created by a violation of Lulu bothers me. Now that the actor is older, the Papa and clear mental instability she has been subjected to, by the Cassadines, is unpleasant to watch.

If the show wants me to vomit while watching they can keep trying to make Drew and Willow a couple too. Yuck.

It's likely because of block-taping of scenes, and they were cut-paste in. Messy way of doing things.

I'm glad it came up then. It's a thing that should be known. When you think about it, it shows so much carelessness. Why is it that they just don't give a what-for about things like this?!! In case you can't tell, it is something about these soaps today that I absolutely detest!!!

DAYS has been that way for years, especially noticeable when an actor has different haircuts in the same episode. Didn't realize that GH did that, too.
