My predictions:

Valentin will be killed and then Charlotte will be brought back to Port Charles.

Nikolas will die in prison.

Finn and Violet will not return.

TJ will get a new position at another hospital and move to another town. Molly will get a new love interest. The show will pretend that TJ never existed and that Jordan is younger than she actually is. Jordan and Isaiah will date.

Marshall will make guest appearances in the future but won't live in Port Charles anymore.

Michael will leave town without Wiley and Amelia. Lucas will be hysterical because Michael has abandoned Wiley.

Drew and Willow will not leave town and will be together until one betrays the other.

Sasha talks like she is leaving town but will actually stay with her newfound relatives.

James will be the primary child on the show, appearing in one episode per week.

Elizabeth will be arrested for murder, but Jason, Lucky, and Ric will team up to save her. Cyrus will be stopped. Elizabeth and Lucky will be in love again.

Emma and Gio will be a couple.

Trina and Kai will date and then become engaged. Portia and Curtis will like Kai a lot more than Spencer. They will be planning Trina's wedding when Spencer returns.

Spencer will come back to life as a recast. Spencer will be legally dead and disinherited. He will have to live like a Spencer and work for a living. When he complains to Laura about not having a trust fund, Laura will give him the speech about how all the Cassadine money is blood money and that he is better off without it.

Trina will not dump Kai for Spencer. Spencer will have to change himself to earn her back.

Ric will win the toxic hip lawsuit for Heather, making himself and Heather rich. Heather will then return to Port Charles and sue for custody of Ace.

Carly and Brennan will get more serious.

Sonny and Natalia will get more serious and they will have sex. Natalia's son will come to town. 

Kristina will continue to be front and center. Michael's departure will make Kristina Sonny's primary child. Blaze will return from her singing tour and get back together with Kristina.

The Cassadine estate will realize that Laura wants Ace to give away his money and abandon his heritage. The Cassadine estate will then oppose Laura having custody of Ace and will back Heather's custody lawsuit.

Dante and Lulu will fall in love again.

Josslyn will appear in other people's scenes looking sad. She will have no new love interest.

Ava and Ric will be a couple.

Esme will return and be put on trial for her crimes. Heather will have Ric defend Esme and he will get her off from all charges. Esme will get a fresh start to cause more trouble.

Oliva divorces Ned and leaves town with Leo. Ned gets back together again with Lois.

Laura appoints Martin to replace Robert as DA.

Honestly found this episode to be quite boring for the New Year opener

I laughed at the failed Valentin shooting attempt. Dante did kind of screw things up for Lulu but she shouldn’t have gone off after Charlotte alone in the first place 

Alexis vs Ava was alright but we’ve gotten better face offs with those two recently

I guess these are the scenes that made Maurice Bernard feel he needed to offer Sawandi Wilson his acting coaching? 😂 I was hoping the show would be brave and have Sonny end up at the hospital with a potential dosage of digitalis but whatever

Willow and Drew are never going to work as a couple so if today was the show trying to pivot towards that they should reroute and try another road.

Sasha making Michael give up his ties to their kid sort of makes sense but also feels very plot driven. If they go where it seems they are with her and Jason her points will seem super invalid.

Anna doing all of that to Brennan because he said hi to Emma felt kind of overkill but maybe they are gonna have Emma look into being a WSB agent

Some fans were saying that Lulu is demented. I replied that if she was then she's always been this way.

But, did you not love it when Alexis slammed the door in her face? I know that I liked that, actually quite a bit.

I love Dr. Isaiah but today him being there for collapsed Sonny lost him points because I wanted Sonny to just die in that boxing ring alone 😂. Hopefully next time this repugnant mobster loser doesn’t get back up. No matter how many times hey try to paint him as a good guy.

Drew truly sickens me. He’s known of Michael as his nephew for what over a decade and at one point had Jason’s memories and he doesn’t give a F.UCK cause he wants Willow. I need Michael and the Quartermaines to spill this tea immediately. Him acting like his nephew’s wife is his one true love is ridiculous. I don’t want him killed off because I love to hate him and this shows first instinct is to always feed someone to Sonny and Jason. The lighthearted romantic music in the Drew/Willow scenes is awful.

I never want to hear Charlotte say papa again. Why the hell is every other word out of her mouth papa. This show can be so annoying sometimes.

Anna tased Brennan and still ended the scene crying. Someone has to reel in Finola. It’s like she watched Jonathan Jackson’s last run and decided crying over a broken nail was the way to go for EVERY SCENE.

Basically agree about our favorite little narcissist. Realistically, I did not think the show was going to  kill Sonny today. But a girl can dream!

Totally agree about Charlotte mewling "pahpah". Give it up, I want to hear DAD or in a pinch,, Valentin.

Sasha makes no sense. She was mad at Holly for not telling her Robert was her father and now she's going to do the same thing to her baby

Her rationale is that she wants to keep the baby safe bc Michael is Sonny's son. Okay but didnt she have a baby with Sonny's cousin before? Her baby died but hte ironic thing is that that had nothing to do with Sonny

Also her parents are Robert and Holly who have their own enemies being tied to the WSB and spy activity. Sasha was kidnapped and nearly killed bc of her own connections. The baby isnt anymore safe with her. Probably less so bc she doesnt have the resources to have security to protect her that Michael and the Quartermaines would

If "papa" and "ma petite" were to stay gone, for good, I wouldn't be upset. I'd probably celebrate.
