They are going to burn a core character and give his kids to 2 sleeze balls

Now you've hit on the one question about Drew that I have thus far found no answer, at least not a suitable one.

Is Drew a sleazy scuzzball? Or is Drew a scuzzy sleazeball?

This is what they've reduced us to with this character.

Haven’t heard anything official, but we’re probably getting a preemption on 1/9 for Jimmy Carter’s funeral.

Regarding possible preemptions for President Jimmy Carter, I don't know yet.
The full schedule of proceedings/ceremonies, lying-in-state, and funerals at this link:

The National Funeral is 10am EST on Jan 9 so the View could get pre-empted

The private funeral is at 345pm and I dont see that one being televised

Yes I think it's likely that the networks will cover the National Cathedral funeral, but obviously not the private funeral later in Plains.   If it's only the Cathedral ceremony itself, then it might not impact the soaps.
However, I speculate that the networks might possibly? have coverage for several hours around the funerals, including the transport ceremonies as his body and his family are brought on and off aircraft, and the family staying at Blair House (the guest house next to the White House) etc.
But I'm only speculating.

No I could see some of that happening too.

What a wild way to write him out! Either death or leaving for medical care for burns, like Lulu being in a coma just outside of town for years. Also the old school way of recasting if they eventually decide to go there!

They really ought to, but I bet Frank won't out of loyalty to Chad.

It's also clearly a bizarre quick change, since they had set up Michael being vengeful over Willow and Drew, then dropped it all for him moping around lovelorn and boom, burnt to a crisp. I wonder just how bad off Chad is IRL.

And then just yesterday they showed Michael is ready to make Willow pay for taking his kid out of state. So it’s like they want to dip their toes into a vengeful Michael but he’s going to be burnt up two days later so it won’t even matter 🤦🏽‍♂️

Yeah but remember last year when they burned up Holly in a huge fire. I imagine this will be the same kind of thing. Fake-out.

Per SOD: B&B may be fully or partially preempted on Tuesday, January 7, and/or Thursday, January 9, for CBS News coverage of the official state funeral for former President Jimmy Carter.

No word on GH or Y&R, however, it seems both may not be preempted.

This is such a wild way to clear the path for Drew and Willow even more.

Right?

I swear...clearly there's even more BTS stuff going on I fear.
