Anyone else grossed out by the idea that Salem has a rat problem?

Also, why isn't Paulina worried about the political implications of appointing three DA's in a year?

Finally, did Leo give Doug III a check for the fenced necklace?  Because it didn't look like there was much cash in that envelope.  Who buys stolen goods with a check?  Who even buys groceries with a check (or cash)?  Was this episode written before Venmo?

Instead of doing a suicide mission, he just decided to wreck the place on his way out?

Lol could be. Anything’s possible

Ron’s ego aside, I can’t see any person willingly taking that much of a pay cut.

I wouldn’t.

I'm sure his job as a breakdown writer at BTG will pay quite well and without the pressure of being the headwriter. It's got to be a pretty sweet gig, and he can probably do that part of the process in his sleep.

I enjoyed many parts of his tenure at DAYS, but it was all the mask wearing, constant Dimeras, the diminishing of the Hortons, the domination of the Leo Stark character, and Abigail's "death" that finally turned me off. I never even made it to what sounds like the Body and Soul fiasco. I did tune in for Doug's funeral episodes and to watch what's left of the Hortons to decorate the tree. MAYBE I'll tune back in once the new writer's material begins to air.

I think it would be hilarious if the show got a bump up right about then. Of course, since no one will give out streaming numbers we'd really have no way of knowing. Darn.

Despite still being a little worried, I hope it ends up working out on BTG though.

Ron is actually a pretty good writer when he doesn’t let his worst qualities do the writing for him.

Not to go too far afield, except it is the weekend, and the end of the month, but, I'd like to see RonC write a soap opera history book.  He is clearly a fan of vintage soaps, and with his quirky style, I would imagine that it would be both fun and informative.

That could be fun! Even hearing about his days back at OLTL.

I’d read it lol

I’m also wondering how he would do if he created his own soap

But now, I’m just curious to see how his final months on Days are gonna go.

Exactly. No one is clamoring for Ron Carlivati to create and write a soap.

No matter what RC is getting paid, it's certainly not as much as his DAYS salary as HW

Sweet gig without pressure? Uh...CBS and others have a lot invested in the success of BTG. I think there's plenty of pressure, and he should avoid sleepwalking through any of it.
