-- Awesome Lulu and Rocco scenes. Both actors nailed it. Like others, I was a little confused and disappointed at Dominic Z's choice to play Dante as a little cold. That was weird, especially since DZ is usually so good.

-- Maurice Benard was lost today. The struggle was real, and it's no fun watching him search for his lines.

-- Alexis vs Ric was great television, although I'm team Ric. Alexis has been wrong consistently on everything regarding that baby.

-- Good to see Genie Francis back, but Laura's scenes with Lucky were nothing special.

-- That Quartermaine mansion foyer is bad. As I went into detail last month, they've remodeled it multiple times, and they cannot get it right.

Jonathan Jackson & Alexa Havins Bruening were really good today.

AHB has gotten the core of who LuLu is already

Loved Danny telling Jason & Carly he is now the jealous one of Rocco but that he is happy for him

Jason Morgan is a good dad

Genie Francis & Jeff Kober are always fire together.

New Lulu is definitely a marked improvement over the last one! This Lulu can act and is able to enter into the spirit of the character. Hopefully the writers don't let her and us down..

The worst thing about Lulu's return is that we have to see characters like Valentine and Charlotte again..

Strange how in the flashback between Lulu and Maxie today, which was supposed to take place just before Lulu fell into a coma, new Lulu was a complete brunette!!

Alexa Havins and Jonathan Jackson were outstanding today. Good sibling chemistry already and they matched acting levels very well. I’m glad Lucky got to be the one to tell Lulu the majority of what has happened to her fam while she was in her slumber. I laughed at her reaction to Nikolas being in prison and the shock and devastation at Luke’s death was played perfectly by both AH and JJ.

The writers didn’t shy away from having Lulu address the optics of Sam dying after saving her life which was nice. Her explanation of Dante’s coldness was spot on and his scenes with Maxie were really good too even though the janky wig they plopped on AH’s head for the flashback of Lulu saying she still had feelings for Dante was a jump scare

Maxie  telling James who Lulu was and letting him get more cookies since he wasn’t lying about her being at the house was funny too

Laura finally being done with Cyrus and his nonsense, handing him a restraining order and letting Anna and Dex lock him up was especially pleasing for me enough of letting this creeper roam free. Anna once again begging Jason for help finding Valentin is so cringe worthy though, can the man get a second to grieve with his own child without the 80s OGs calling on him for a caper?

Speaking of, I loved Jason and Carly comforting Danny even though the young actor continues to be very hit or miss. Danny has every right to be bitter Sam is dead and Rocco gets his mom back so I’m glad they gave Danny license to feel a ways and helped him navigate it all.

I loved the Ric and Molly scenes and her telling him she still needs him in her life but not right now after everything that happened with the trial spoke to how level headed she is. I also liked how they played up the depth of her and TJ’s history by having her going through her old diary entries about him.

They need to give it up already with Natalia and Sonny man, legit the only weak spot of the episode. The chemistry isn’t strong and this Natalia salvage attempt is just not gonna happen. Put Sonny with Alexis and call it a day. Otherwise the show has been really solid viewing.

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
