It is very strange the show didn't take the easy way out with Sonny being off his meds as the reason he killed Jagger.  Maybe it's leading to something?  Knowing GH though, probably not lol.

I don't get how Sonny just being a straight up killer is better than Sonny being off his meds and having a semi-plausible excuse.  But then again I haven't really understood Mo's decisions or motivation since like 1997 so there's that.

Honestly, knowing ABC Daytime's creative decisions the Port Charles mob spinoff would still be airing and GH would have been canned instead.

Likely.... or we'd still have All My Children, haha. But knowing our luck, they would've still canned Port Charles and immediately put Sonny back on the name series.

I think they were so busy trying to undo any lasting damage to Ava they didn’t think about using the meds for a greater story point. Just like they all but wiped Valentin from that and Pikeman. And Maurice’s mental health decline around that story.

They played all the right beats with Lucky and Liz today. Good flashback usage and history referencing, she pressed him when it comes to abandoning Aiden, funny snark moments, him knowing she painted the Bobbie’s sign without anyone telling him. JJ and RH still got chemistry in spades too, I’m all in.

The brief scene with them and Jason and Sam was good nostalgia as well. I liked seeing Sam and Jason finally communicate through the awkwardness, apologize and come to an understanding. Its too damn bad we didn’t get more of them together until now…their scenes with Dante were good as well.

I guess Hat Daddy is leaving the show? Good riddance.

Maura West and Tabyana Ali looked 🔥 today and I enjoyed the Ava and Trina, Portia and Trina, Ava and Ric scenes.

They keep having Portia go off on these awful behaving characters as if its designed to make them more sympathetic but I just end up siding with her anyway. I don’t even know if she has a real reason to hate Brad but I’m totally fine with her making his life at GH hell even if she’s being a slight hypocrite when it comes to changing test results.

I zoned out for the Heather/Ric/Alexis stuff. Glad Molly walked off on Alexis for putting herself in this predicament.

Who is more likely to return from their music tour, Marshall or Blaze? I say Blaze.

The one at the end of today's episode was atrocious!

I’m sure many will disagree but honestly I thought out of Becky’s two previous leading men that have returned, on camera for me I saw much more chemistry in her scenes with RH than I did the scenes with JJ.  I also have no real connection to JJ’s Lucky with Liz as I didn’t watch in the 90’s and all he did was cry last time he was on the show.

Lucky and Elizabeth’s reunion was the best part of today. I like the way they played it; in some ways, you could sense that there was still tension between them after all these years. I’m still hoping for a Lucky/Liz/Ric triangle.

They’re really going out of their way to make Portia unlikeable, and for what? What exactly can they do with Heather once everything gets revealed? Fight for custody of Ace? That’s stupid. A pairing with Scott?

And yes, go away, Marshall and don’t come back.

From what came before and after, Mulcahey's months were really good. The show was feeling so stupid, and he gave it some intelligence. Now it's back to feeling really stupid.

To be honest I'd rather they just go with Sonny doing whatever the hell he wants than blaming meds. The show already exploits his mental illness so much as it is.
