More repetitive dialogue between Steffy and Luna.

Finn acting all smart and Mr. Know It All Detective is

.

Li being clueless. It's like she and Finn switched roles.

RJ is even more buff than before.

More screaming and screeching from Steffy.

Luna isn't even a smart criminal.

Is Luna more interesting with the rewrite? Some but her character was a flop so it wasn't hard to improve. Luna is not awesome and Lisa isn't amazing. She is campy bad.

Sheila was never campy bad under WJB run until the very end. Sheila is evil. Luna isn't evil.

This is the same character that cried most of her run because she was raped and now they're telling us that never happened.

BTW...Sheila should be gone. Can't make her like Luna because then you have to write her out. That's why Bradley made her June Cleaver.

LOL Finn has been clueless since forever, and now he's finding "clues" and making quantum leaps to "I think Luna did something!" It is HILARIOUS!

Yeah, Li took dumb pills overnight. Her entire edge is gone, too.

Actually, I'm OK with this.

She's really not. Talk about a criminal who hasn't thought through her plan. LOLOL

Which is soooooo stupid.

The Luna mess is so out of nowhere but still oddly the only thing interesting in a "this is just a mess" kind of way. The actress that plays Luna has so much potential, but they only gave her "perfect Luna" and "psycho Luna" to play...nothing in between where she could actually stick around.

I'm sure that RJ is sticking around and will probably end up in a boring triangle with Will and some boring blonde girl.

For all the bad of Tuesday's episode, JMW gave a solid performance in the cage - her voice, facial expressions, her body language/position, etc. It was far more nuanced, yet still emotional than the shrieking one-dimension Steffy that's been overkill. I hope we see more of it.

A better approach to Li today: have her fess up to Finn that the reason why Li didn't want Lunacy in LA was that she's always been emotionally unstable due to her upbringing, etc.

Li: 'There were terrible incidents, which is why I've always hated your Aunt Poppy. She put her selfish lifestyle above her daughter.'

The bad acting the last few episodes... is... alarming. That this goes through the editing process and is in the final product amazes me. The whole production is beginning to show signs of sloppiness and I-don't-care-vibe. I truly hope the future is brighter... since this has been rock bottom for Bradley. Maybe he can pull a rabbit out of the hat again and give us another 2002-type of over the top entertainment.

He also needs to hire some new dialogue writers, because the current situation is dire.

    • Well, I am glad to know that & for it to make sense, so thanks for the info &  the perspective, also. At the end of AMC 1.0, I thought the new young talent was really quite good, but I missed Eden & NuBianca just ... well, I wasn't 100% sold on her & Bianca was so important to me. But then, Tad & Dixie were also important & yep, there's another problem, for me I mean. I'm not your typical AMC fan but I hung in there anyway. I know what you mean because it wasn't as good as it once had been but it was still Agnes's show in Pine Valley. Some of that is a bittersweet nostalgic clinging to the past, I guess. By that time I'd been through so many show cancellations. AW, Santa Barbara, PC, The City, GL, ATWT.

Betsy Snyder, when she was at DAYS was part of the WGA winning writing team before she died, tragically far too young.
    • Yep Edmund and Tad went under cover to infiltrate the... Willow Lake (I think?) old folks community scandal that was exploiting Phoebe, etc.  (Which at one point led to Edmund rescuing Brooke from quicksand--common around Pine Valley I guess

) EDIT maybe I'm wrong.  I found the quicksand scene

But for the story all I can find is Edmund going undercover as the gigolo "preying" on older women, Eduardo (no one would recognize him with that disguise and name ) so the drag must have been.. a different story?
    • But then he HATES the original Heather Webber (Cher's half sister played her, right?) and we know what happened when Robin would step into the role a year after this.  He does seem pretty spot on about actors who show promise otherwise.  It's interesting he knocks OLTL early on (though I loved all the recently released episodes from this era we got) but does give a lot of credit to the actress playing Cathy despite earlier complaining about her story.  And over all, while quite negative, his various pros and cons on the shows sounds about right with what I know of the shows at this time. This was a July dated issue of the magazine but and I know they date mags a month or two in advance--obviously when he wrote this he didn't know Lovers and Friends was gonna go off the air (in May I think).
    • You know one of the soap outlets posed that question just last week: Who do you want Trina with Spencer or Kai? And, of course, the picture of Spencer was NAC. I said, well, a lot. I chose Kai. I said that Spencer had been an entitled brat & that some people valued him over her, when I valued her above all others. I guess we'll see.
    • You're right. The only thing I can think of is if GH finally decides to bring back Spencer.
    • Sharon Rose Gabet told me on Facebook that she calls this "Baby Raven".
    • I imagine the storyline would now segue into Laura's accident. But I hope they manage to keep Leslie around though. I really don't want her to be written out, or get the DOOL treatment where she just pops up every so often to cause some short term trouble; the character and the actor were such a find.
