At the end of July Jeff Kober said that he was on hiatus from the show and didn't know when or if Cyrus would be on again. Those scenes with Laura must have been filmed fairly recently.

I'm the same way. There have been times when I'm not caught up, see the credits and know where to stop reading. Then I might come back later if there was something in the discussion that I wanted to touch on or no one touched on.

Same. I felt Adamson gave Michael the edge that he had been missing with CD in the role. Or perhaps it's because he subbed in at the right times.

No, nothing of the sort. Laura found him in Lulu's room, reading the bible & praying over her. He claimed to come visit her SEVERAL TIMES PER WEEK.
