Kirsten Storms looks so good, so happy for her.

Am I a weirdo for missing old-school park scenes which take place in a set?

Oh and they have no idea what to do with Natalia.

I don’t think Mulcahey was getting rid of Ava, at least not yet. He built in an out with Valentin having been the real person meddling with his meds. If anything, I saw Ava as being moved into the kind of spot characters like Roger were in on GL during his time there. Many times his schemes blew up and he just kept on ticking, always smart about covering his tracks. I think Ava was going to use the meds to be a hero and buy herself some credit while she plotted against everyone. But that was when Mulcahey was there and stories had structure.

At this point it would not shock me if Finn finishes his three months in rehab and is back on the show before the year is out.

That was my suspicion as well.

And yes, I'm worried about ME lol. But I suspect ABC may have put the foot down on the OLTL 2.

Indeed.

I felt that PM knew what he had in MW and understood the need for a villain on the show. And not just a normal run-of-the-mill villain, a complex one. And Ava was that. Just look at the scene that was next day after she gave that guy the video of Natalia. She was happy that she was making chaos for Natalia as payback for snatching Ava's chance with Sonny, but PM gave her that scene where she saw the backlash against Blaze in the little corner of her tablet. And Ava froze. You saw emotions. Then there was a knock on her door and Ava went back to Ava-ing. MW played that scene soooo well.

I loved all of the maneuvering she was doing during his run. And I felt he did, too, as she was so connected to so many stories. I was thinking a murder mystery for her, or some form of redemption so she pays a little bit for her crimes, but I didn't feel PM was permanently writing Ava out.

You have a femme fatale played by a powerhouse...you use it.

Yes, please! Let Maura be Ava as long as they can keep her out of a corner.

I still would like to know who got PM back in the first place. Cuz FV sure is making everyone that was for it pay for it now.

Isn'e it the truth? And, so obvious.

No.  I don't even like Ava.  Her writing is erratic at best.  She is being dumped on in this story when she really didn't do anything wrong except hide the Sonny meds situation.

Carly gets universal praise for barely acting like a human and Ava gets hatred from the entire town.  Neither should be lauded for their excellence and caring, but the town acts like Carly is their queen.

Same.

I've already irked by it and it's only been two episodes into the New/Old Writers' run.

The thing I keep coming back to is that supposedly it was Korte who wanted PM in the first place.

I'm just clinging to "Copy that." It's new & different. It is not old Jason to old Sonny.

Also to Steve & Bradford talking about scenes in their podcasts.

Seems like days maybe but I'm pretty sure it's been going on for weeks. I suspect that CVE/Korte have been unwriting & rewriting with fair abandon, ya know?

oh, really? The plot thickens...lol.

Yeah, now seeing the scene...I would disagree with the wording, but not the body language. I do feel SB was playing against the dialogue which was very interesting. But it seem old school Sonny/Jason to me.

I wouldn't be surprised. It just seems more pronounced and pointed now that it's official official. It seems like everyone who had their own point of view just off of two episodes is being giving the 'bad edit' as they like to say on reality tv shows.

PM could keep her out of the corner. These writers? FORGETABOUTIT!!!

Very. Unfortunately.

Thus why I mentioned wiggle room. ;)

The writer who doesnt like Ava is still there.

Given how they write her now...I believe that.

And parallels what I just said, too. PM would have found the wiggle room to keep her because he clearly saw what he had.

But THESE writers...FORGETABOUTIT!!!

I buy that Korte wanted PM as Co-HW but maybe after CVEs back as BDW, FV may started underminding PM with CVE help & Korte too to keep a job

You make a good point. Look how many regimes Korte has lived through. Clearly she has a sense of uh ... self-survival instinct? Does that track? The ultimate pragmatist?

So uh just like that Kristina and Blaze went through all that just to break up and we get hero Sonny keeping her bigot mother in town because he has a crush? This is what’s supposed to draw and keep viewers?

Sonny laughably talking about Ava going to prison.

Honestly Brennan just waltzing into the Metro Court just helped to highlight that GH is literally a soap where you’re only rewarded by cheering on the bad guys. It’s actually sad that so many writers and producers have decided this is what GH should be and if you’re against that at all, you’re not long for the show.

I don't care about Blaze, but it's really pretty incredible. It's a firing offense or at least cause for major creative changes, not just bringing back Frank's favored writers, adding a few stars/beloved characters and hoping for the best.

It’s absolutely a fireable offense in 2024. Isn’t FV gay himself? Like what?!

Today was mostly a snooze fest for me. The only thing that really held my interest were the Willow and Drew scenes and Sonny and Lois making up. Everything else 💤

That scene with Tracy and Cody talking about Finn reeked of setting up his return. I really hope we are spared, the show is so much more pleasant without the OLTL crew running around the canvas playing their #525,600 character.

Feels very much like FV using the Kish playbook to blame the ratings on the gays and deflect from the much more prominent issues within the show, starting with Natalia. At least with Kish on OLTL it was a massive storyline and they probably did take a hit in the demos somewhat because of it 15 years ago (not that that excuses how he disposed of them). Here the lesbians feel like a scapegoat for much bigger systemic issues - which OLTL also had a lot of at the time.

I still have absolutely no idea why Brennan and Valentin are free and how Brennan is off the hook re: Pikeman. Was he undercover or was he actually the bad guy lol?

This is what frustrates me most. Carly is a town hero despite everyone knowing how awful she is and the dangers she has and continues to put her children in. Ava is just as bad but because she’s against the bad guys with a longer history on the show, she’s considered worse. All of the things Sonny, Carly, and Jason have done and caused all over the years onscreen is to be ignored because Ava killed annoying Connie when she was played by Master Thespian Kelly Sullivan.

Literally months of story so that what? They could both be free. Sonny gets backs on his meds. And I guess Jagger gets embarrassed because if you’re against the bad guys, the show will remind us you’re an idiot and will never win. Oh and Anna could be ruined once again after literally a month or so before telling Sonny she’ll take down criminals and then let her ex go free 😂
