@carolineg you were not kidding about those bridge scenes. LOL!!!

Those last two episodes were drags. It was like someone tried to take PM's cornerstone of holding insightful conversations that reveal character, but they don't have the 'touch' that he has for it. Cuz those Jason/Carly scenes...WOOF.

I didn't mind the Chase/Dex scenes surprisingly. It was good to see Dex bond with somebody. And now that I think about that...it seems like the Dex hazing plot has vanished more or less. I also didn't mind the Cody/Tracy scenes, either.

LOVE the Trina scenes where she talks about her grief. So well done. And yet it's backburnered.

And you know I LOVE the Laura/Dante scenes with Lulu. I was really hoping with PM in as HW that Lulu would finally wake up. And this scene...I honestly wonder if it will still happen.

Also loved seeing BLQ as a Boss. AS showing off those edges she used to use so well as a Tracy Jr. when Sonny tried to use her to fix Natalia's issue.

I just attended a Zoom event with Jeff Kober and Roger Howarth. Here is what they said:

Jeff and Roger are old buddies. Jeff and Roger had lunch in LA three weeks ago.

Jeff is on hiatus from GH. He is working on a book, teaching meditation, and is learning to play the harmonica.

Roger is living in the Berkshires in New York close to his Mom and Dad. He is far away from showbiz.

Roger started out in theater in the 1980s.

Jeff was a taxi driver in the 1980s and once had Gene Roddenberry in his taxi.

Todd Manning is the character that Roger liked best.

Jeff is going to be at GHFC Weekend next weekend.

The Zoom was attended by 71 people.

Jeff and Roger would work together in the future.

Roger doesn't know who killed Austin.

Roger will agree to come back to the show if asked but believes that it would be more likely to be asked to play for the Knicks or be Kamala's running mate than for GH to ask him back.

When he first joined the show, Roger was texted by the producer about GH as OLTL was ending.

Jeff's manager called and asked him to join GH.

Jeff broke a rib, broke his sternum, and broke a finger while on sets.

Jeff was on Star Trek twice and worked with Jeri Ryan.

Franco believes that Franco/Liz was a sweet story.

Jeff thinks that it is fantastic to be Laura's brother.

Roger is not in a position to turn down a role and has never had an offer he didn't take.

Jeff is glad that Cyrus stopped spouting religious stuff because it is challenging.

I put Heather and Cyrus spoilers in the spoiler forum.

I know GH is basically a crime show, but it's still hilarious how many of these people are in and out of jail on a regular basis.

Maurice Benard again chewed that scenery up at the end of today's show. I'm glad Jagger got the last word in and called him an SOB, but MB is basically laugh material at this point.

Wagger ain't &*#$.

Jason finally gets time with one of his sons, and Wagger wants to pull that crap on him? The only good I saw in this episode was that we FINALLY...just like Valentin being revealed as the head of Pikeman...have a clear direction for Wagger. We had plenty of good guys in Dante, Chase, and now Dex...so it was nice to see Wagger is going to let his hatred for Sonny get him to do things like blackmailing Jason and Carly to make Sonny pay.

Not that Sonny ain't paying. Other than me forgetting why Sonny is hating on Michael at the moment AGAIN, I liked the circling of the wagons that the forthcoming Avery custody battle brought to this episode. Is it wrong that I'm Team Scotty/Ava though? Because I enjoyed the heck out of their scenes. We know how I feel about Maura West as a villainess, but Kin Shriner is such a perfect match for her in the scheme department. And the touch on Ava's nose as she revealed (finally) that someone tampered with Sonny's meds, guaranteeing Scotty can push him over the edge. Which Scotty won't mind doing given how he feels about Sonny per Karen. Really ironic with Wagger around, too. Bonus.

I felt FH was playing Anna's guilt a little (pun unintended) on the nose in her scenes with Laura. Because I feel Anna as a character would show no guilt in front of Laura until Laura left the room. Meanwhile, GF did so good with those scenes, and the realization that NONE of her kids were in town. Foreshadowing? Or a reason for her to cling to Heather? But GF drew me completely in and I felt that. I also had forgotten that Charlotte is also Lulu's child.

So I guess the next big event will be the custody battle. Which ties in the story of Sonny's meds. So...PM's stories ending/turning one by one...

    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
