YAY! So glad to be "home!"

Posted at JE Online...

[small voice] I was fine with Maxie's scenes. In fact, out of all the people in the hotel that got focus (Sonny, Carly, Sam, Maxie), Maxie was the one who held my interest. [/small voice] Surprising, I know. :o But truthfully, I could care less about Sonny and co. The hotel scenes would have worked if GH focused on EVERYONE in there. Instead, Alan, Robin, Nikolas, Emily, Elizabeth, and Lulu had about 2 lines, 1 in which they were just saying their name with some ridiculous adjective in front of it. I gotta give TIIC props though. They made me laugh with that scene, albeit unintentionally, but you know...

Nooooooooooooooo! Watch with volume on, eyes closed!!! It's better. :D

LOL about the wardrobe MinervaFan. And you sound upset...*hugs*

PLEASE LET TRACY HAVE MORE THAN 1 SCENE!!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY!!!!!! I was going crazy yesterday, I don't think I realized how much I come to SON until it was down. MinervaFan, I was going to say something similar about Wednesday's performance, but you put it so eloquently and I have to say I agree with you 100%. Luke was being Luke he doesn’t do apologies, he didn't apologize to either of his kids for taking off for parts unknown, so why would he apologize to his wife.

I agree Tracy looked damn fine, and I wanted to jump through my television and give her a hug.

TGIF!! and Tracy is going to be on today! YAY

Watching LIVE...

Brief recap...

Scene 1 (part 1): Tracy/Edward are upstairs at the hotel, wondering where Bobbie is. It's her charity function, but she can't even be bothered to attend. Tracy's drinking and talking about lowly Spencers, and then she's like, "I'm a Spencer." Edward doesn't want to be reminded. Monica can't find Alan.

Scene 1 (part 2): Tracy's standing next the elevators, pressing the button. They're not working. Tracy asks if this is creepy to anyone else. She recalls the events of the hotel fire. (Heh. I FLOVE Tracy. She's so funny here). Lucky and Cruz arrive, say there's a security problem and tells them all NOT to panic. Tracy's all, "Like we haven't heard that before."

Scene 2: Still upstairs, Tracy is standing around. She sees Dillon and wants him to tell her where Lulu is at. Dillon's surprised she cares. Monica joins. She was just on the terrace. Half the PCPD is surrounding the hotel. Tracy says something terrible is happening in the hotel.

Scene 3 (part 1): Unintentionally funny, but everyone is in the stairwell. Tracy's going down, Luke's coming up. They are like thisclose. They haven't been physically that close in a long time, LOL. Tracy freaks out. Says if Luke is here, then the hotel must be on fire. What were the chances of being trapped in a burning hotel twice? Luke tells her and the others about the hostage situation. He's mad at Dillon for letting Lulu go to the lobby. Tracy says he shouldn't have taken off again. Monica's all, "My husband is that room." She and the others head out.

Scene 3 (part 2): Edward, Tracy, Monica are outside; they go to Mac for information about Alan and Emily. Mac wants them to go home. Monica doesn't want to, but she agrees. Me: Nooooooooooo! Quartermaines! Don't leave!!!! (BTW, Alan has been knocked out for speaking up about getting Robin medical attention).

Edit #1: Offscreen, Alan in a room, which apparently has an unlocked door. Luke is still outside, getting caught up in the situation. Dillon is around too, I'm almost sure. No sign of the others. :( Tracy's on next week with Scotty, we know, but something tells me that is going to be a one scene thing, and since Scotty isn't even outside anymore, I wonder where their scene is going to be? GH isn't stupid enough to have Tracy/Scotty discuss Laura at Kelly's while people Tracy loves are being held hostage, right??? Am I missing something???

Edit #2: Monica finds Skye at GH, going through Lorenzo's briefcase. Monica is suprisingly keeping it together. She fills Skye in on who's a hostage. Skye is almost crying. Monica tells her to tell Patrick that Robin's been shot, and that they're all praying for her. Monica leaves. Skye rummages through the papers before throwing the briefcase. No Tracy or Luke previews or Quartermaines except Skye, Jason, Emily. Hey! Tracy bails Luke out of jail next week, right?

YEah...it is back up! Gosh, I didn' t realize how much I love this board til it was down. So excited she was on today. I will watch when I get home. Hope you guys all have a great Friday!!!

I played hookey from life today and saw a 10am movie of Catch and Release with a friend. How decadent is that? Tonight I am having a girls night out and seeing Because I said so and going to a wine bar! Now with Tracy on, this is shaping up to be a great day!

hookedongh, I get what you mean. Plus, Maxie's scenes are just with one other person and seem to be longer. Tracy's scenes are mainly group oriented and seem shorter.

MinervaFan, nah, the fur is still on. BUT!!! She did get a haircut!!! I didn't even notice at first, or I guess I thought it was just hiding under her coat, but I definitely think her hair is shorter. It look so pretty!!!!

Some parts I accidentally left out of the recap...

Monica has a line about the SWAT team surrounding the hotel. Tracy responds something like, "Oh, that's not good." JE's delivery is PERFECT! Also, Tracy gets to briefly react to Lulu being in the hotel. Dillon is all frazzled, as he's explaining to Luke, Tracy (and really the 1/3 of the cast, that's in the stairwell), and Tracy gets to go, "What?" Anyway...Just a little thing.

Oh! In the beginning, what is up with Luke not worrying about his WIFE being in the hotel? He's all, "Lulu was supposed to be there! Bobbie's hosting it." Nothing about Tracy though. Boo. He sucks.

To end on a positive note...Tracy's ring is wearing her wedding ring!!! It's so shiny!

Whew whew...she put back on her ring. Guess they did it on purpose to have her not wearing it all that time. Of course only we would even notice that type of thing though, not most average viewers ya know!!! Maybe since he told her that he was going to stay married to her yesterday, she put it back on for the gala.

Can't wait to watch!

Wow. Typo there. Sorry guys!!! LOL.

I'm surprised no other people are commenting on the episode. Busy day? Eh...It IS Friday. Most people are probably out.

Attention SOC posters: There's a "Tracy ROCKED today" thread over there. (I didn't start it either - haha).

As I said earlier, I know it's Friday night, but will anyone be around for the breakroom later? I'm thinking around 9 central??? Yes, no, maybe???

Hey all!

I agree with Nex and Deb on Tracy and Luke from Wednesday. They acted in character. And I don't think Tracy appears to be desperate at all. I wish Luke could have been a little nicer though.

I watched today, I didn't even notice she was wearing her ring again.

I'm hangin' and waitin' for ya Ms. Q - to post the chat link ;). I'll be checkin' out SOC while waiting.

I wanted to slap him today when he said, "I didn't think you cared" about Lulu. She was really acting worried about her today. I hope we get a Trillon hug and a trulu hug when she gets rescued too (ha ha).

I must admit, I thought today's episode was really good and I didn't want it to end. So where did the Qs go? HOme? Monica went to the hospital I know.

    • @Soapsuds Thanks for posting Night by night Mon 8pm The Rookies edged Gunsmoke but attracted younger(more desirable) viewers.NBC failed with Born Free/Smothers Brothers (how many different series did those 2 get??) 9-11pm  Maude/Rhoda/Medical Center dominated on CBS,but Football and Movies were competitive on an occasional basis. ABC tried  SWAT/Caribe later in the season and the former worked for them. Tues 8-11 pm CBS all the way Good Times, MASH, Hawaii Five O,Barnaby Jones. NBC had the fading Adam 12,Movie and Police Story mmm...don't see that listed? ABC Happy Days, which ABC decided to keep despite lackluster ratings, the Movie of the Week and Marcus Welby-once pulling big numbers but no longer. 8pm NBC had a new hit with Little House, easily beating Sons and Daughters, which was axed and replaced with Tony Orlando, which did much better. ABC had That's My Mama and the Wed movie. 9pm Cannon was the lead here as Lucas Tanner failed to capitalize on the LHOTP leadin. ABC continued the movie. 10pm Manhunter started strong for CBS but petered out and was cancelled. Petrocelli manged to beat Get Christie Love, which was replaced by Baretta-no ratings winner but ABC decided to renew. Thurs Another CBS night with The Waltons and a movie. ABC counterprogrammed with Odd Couple/Paper Moon then Barney Miller/Karen NBC did even worse with Sierra and replaced it with Mac Davis which improved ratings quite a bit. However, it was moved to 9pm for Sunshine/Bob Crane 9pm Some good numbers for ABC with Streets of San Francisco fending off Ironside,Archer and Mac Davis. 10pm Harry O had a slim victory over Movin On Fri 8-11 NBCs best night Sanford/Chico/Rockford/Police Woman. 8pm CBS had high hopes for Planet of the Apes but it bombed. Replacement Khan did even worse. Paul Sand and We'll Get By were tossed in at the end of the season. With poor lead ins the Friday movie didn't deliver. ABC's odd line up saw Kodiak flop, Six Million dollar Man struggle and Texas Wheelers  quickly cancelled. Kung Fu was brought in @8 and Six Million moved to 9. Then Kolchak took over at 8 and Hot*l Baltimore/Odd Couple 9-10. Despite controversy Hot*l flopped. 10pm ABC tried Kolchak then Baretta and finally Get Christie Love Sat CBS lead  with #1 AITF then Paul Sand/MTM/Bob Newhart/Carol Burnett. Paul Sand lost too much of the lead in so CBS spun off The Jeffersons and it was a smash. NBC did OK with Emergency (which beat Paul Sand on occasion, thus hastening that show's demise) and a movie. ABC was a disaster with New Land/Kung Fu and Nakia all failing. They introduced a movie @9 and moved Kung Fu to 8. Sun  NBC  with Disney and Mystery Movie (Columbo McCloud, MacMillan and Wife/Amy Prentiss)did well. ABC flopped with Sonny Bono and recovered by moving Six Million Dollar Man from Fri as a lead in to the movie. CBS hoped Apples Way would be another Waltons but no, so Cher did what Sonny couldn't. Kojak and Mannix successfully finished out the night. Two other shows on the ratings list were Adams of Eagle Lake starring Andy Griffith. Only 2 episodes aired and did well, so I'm not sure what happened there. As for The Law it was a series follow up to a 2 and a half hour NBC special movie .

    • Trust is very easily lost and very hard to re-build.
    • Oh, I know it was. I was just talking about how it's not giving me parallels to Caroline dying. It's really as far from it as possible.  But about the foreshadowing - Hahahhahah. Yes. And you missed one - Liam googling - "what is cancer"...
    • GH 2-17-21 Denise Alexander's last appearance https://www.instagram.com/p/DJdjXgwJ1Ez/
    • @Maxim This Liam dying out of the blue was crafted in a hurry for three reasons: 1. To facilitate JMW's leave 2. To prop Steffy - 'Oh, Steffy has so much grace and moral superiority that she ignored everything that swine HoLo did to tell her for the sake of their daughters. Queen Stephanie would be so proud of her!' 3. Distracting Steffy enough to give Lunacy an easy way to slither into Finn's life. Once Luna discovers that Lame is dying, she'll play that card: 'Dad, life is too short and precious!' If this was an intentional story, we would've had the typical B&B foreshadowing - Liam faceplanting into a bowl of pasta, Lame missing meetings, being forgetful. Instead, Lame does an impulsive quick quit and $B doesn't even care enough to make a single attempt to get him back? Please.
    • https://www.tvinsider.com/1180503/denise-alexander-dead-general-hospital-lesley-webber/ Alexander made her soap opera debut as Lois Adams on The Clear Horizon in 1960, but her big break came in 1966 when she was cast as Susan Hunter Martin on Days of Our Lives while still attending college at UCLA. As Susan, Alexander played a host of dramatic tales, including murdering her husband David Martin (played by Clive Clerk) in May 1967 after the death of their son. “She started out as the bad girl and was thrown out of boarding school for smoking and drinking,” recalled Alexander to We Love Soaps TV. “The character caught on and sparked something with the audience, and that is how Susan became an important part of the show. I was there for almost seven years…. I had such a wonderful time on Days. It was like going to camp every day for me. I loved the people, loved the show, and loved what I got to do. They loved the character and liked me as an actor and gave me lots of neat stuff to do. I didn’t even ask for a vacation for five years because if I worked 365 days a year, I thought I was great. It was a very good time in my life.” In 1973, Alexander was in contract negotiations with Days when ABC offered significant perks to the actress to join General Hospital to play Dr. Lesley Williams. Though Alexander loved her time in Salem, she decided to leave. “It was [Days’ Executive Producer] Betty Corday who sent me to General Hospital,” Alexander told welovesoaps.net. “She said, ‘You must do this.’ So when I went to General Hospital..."
