Either that, or they don't know what to do with him, but they've gotta fulfill his episode guarantee regardless.

Seriously, Sasha is but one of maybe 30 characters (on-contract and off-) that could stop appearing TODAY with no explanation(s) and it would not affect the storytelling whatsoever.

That would make sense. He seems like a case of an actor someone at the show liked and they just dumped him on the canvas. Joss is busy elsewhere and they don't care about Trina.

I would say they might have Brook Lyn cheat with him but the way the character is written now, she would probably be struck by lightning or turned into salt at the mere thought.

We never saw the youth center. The producers don't want to build a new set and hire LGBT extras to have a youth center. The youth center was Kristina's baby, but the writers are going to have her keep Molly and TJ's baby instead. We probably won't hear about that center again. It is a dropped storyline.

I appreciate how well done the scenes with Finn and Violet were with him saying goodbye. Everyone did well in those scenes. My only issue is once again, even though it has been sped up, we have seen every step in a Finn story. It’s the only set of stories being told with any care, from the wedding, Gregory’s death, though Finn leaving for rehab.

Everything else is plagued with starts and stops, and details just dropped in exposition instead of showing the other stories.

One thing I have hated during the last few years is that if a story isn’t working for Frank, they just ignore it. I fear the last few months with Sonny are headed there. The town pariah, Molly carrying around poor old Cyrus’ statement declaration, his meds, whatever was happening with Ava…that is a lot of plot to just disappear.

I like Gio, he’s kind of just there but at least they are not trying to make him angst ridden when it doesn’t suit him. But there have been a couple of times when he is just smiling away that I expect him to flash a package of Mentos, the fresh maker!

Lol.  I am pretty sure the show referred to Gio as a "cousin" to either Lois or Brook.  The internet is telling me his name is either Gio Cerullo or Gio Palmieri so I am not sure exactly who Gio belongs to.  I was assuming one of Lois's siblings.

I am not sure if we will ever see it, but I think it will be something she at least talks about.  Does Kristina still work at the bar?  Or is she on maternity leave now or whatever?  Lol.

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
