Members janea4old
MVJ isn't *only* good friends with Jon Lindstrom and Karla Mosley. She wrote for Lindstrom on GH and she wrote for Mosley on B&B, so she knows what they can do. So it's professional respect AND personal trust. Webmaster Errol Posted February 17 Author Webmaster Share Posted February 17 Agreed. Unfortunately, people will believe what they want to believe. That's their right.
Members Soapsuds
When did he begin? I do not recall GL having great casting choices towards its end. It's like the old saying, "It's who you know." Sometimes it's not if you're the best at that job.
Members vanguard
Who cares. She's bringing him on this show as a casino owning gangster. It's obvious.
Members Taoboi
That's how I took both re: JL and KM. I thought that was clear vs how you can tell someone was on a show because they know someone who knows someone who knows...well...you understand.
Members BetterForgotten
He started under Rauch in 1999, I believe - yes, definitely not the best time for P&G casting and certainly not on the level of the iconic Betty Rea. At the same time, it better work out or she won’t hear the last of it. JFP faced these accusations about hiring her friends in ill-fitted roles her entire career, and people still can’t get over Bill Bell hiring his daughter and force-feeding her on Y&R.

Webmaster Errol Posted February 17 Author Webmaster Share Posted February 17 He was in charge of casting at Guiding Light starting in November 1999 until the show concluded in 2009. Interestingly, he is now the VP of casting at CBS. He's been in the role since December 2018.

Members ranger1rg
My take on Lauralee Bell is that her dad gave her way too much to do in her early years. I don't think she was bad as much as someone made too central to the show. But now? I think she's become a good, solid actor. I'd rather see her back on Y&R more than at least a half dozen other characters we see regularly.

Members Soapsuds
I'd rather LauraLee either take over the head writing duties from her brother at Bold or continue writing on the soap she's developing.
