Liam is still giving me creepy vibes. They should really go in that direction with the character versus the Steffy/Hope back and forth.

Am I the only one wondering what the hell is IN THOSE MINTS?

More repeat dialogue over and over today.

Also, does anyone at FC actually work? All they do is make out and have sex in the office!

I cringed so much the last episode. Hope is now Mother eff-ing Theresa, ready to establish a Foundation to Mourn Dead Serial Killers. She is so invested in Finn and how Steffy killed his MOMMY little dearest. Who believes this sh-t? Who writes this sh-t? Did Hope forget that Sheila once SHOT her mother and Brooke barely survived. Sheila also attempted to kill Brooke on 2 other instances in the early 90s.  And Thomas sits there and hears it... boy... you better prep that fake doll you were making out those years ago, since you're going to be dry soon. That doll better be fresh and dolled up, ready for action.

There were also multiple instances of bad acting, not only by the usual Liberty Biberty, but multiple. I laughed out loud at some reactions. But I don't want to offend some fans. So I will just say this.

But at least we got meaty RJ naked again, shoutout - @Soapsuds and @Jeff.

This should be a non-issue, in theory.  I mean we should all be entitled to our opinions.  But I know how people can get.  For me, I don't have a problem with people saying <fill in the blank> can't act.  I have a thick skin and am able to dismiss the comments I may not agree with, and move on.  Depending on my mood, I may jump in and add my 2 cents...or I'm onto the next.

Since I have some time today, here is my problem with the Zende/Luna mess, I mean where to begin really... As stated this story is not being told with kindness and respect to the victim.  The only thing the mother of the victim, and the perpetrator, care about is that Luna not tell RJ what happened.  What about Luna's FEELINGS and GUILT for something she had no control over?  This could scar a person for life.  Brad Bell should NOT attempt to write a controversial story cause he doesn't know how to tell it with compassion.  It might be one thing if Zende showed some remorse; instead he comes across as swarmy, indignant, superior and full of himself.  I blame the writing, not Delon de Metz, who has no say in the direction of his character.  Another low was when Poppy and Zende were practically joking around, and she called him "Tiger".  Really??

And, where I think the show misses a HUGE opportunity in developing more depth in the stories is not exploring the people in the basement (where Thorne worked). The people who are doing the REAL hard work, and showing and exploring class struggles that way as well as give us that character who's trying to claw their way to the top. Right now, it's so easy for a new character, such as Luna, to become a BIG success at FC without really showing them doing anything.

Still boycotting, but reading recaps and gleaming a lot from all y'all observations!

1. Eventually Bill Sr. admitted the Dru r*pe by Malcolm on Y&R was wrong. It unfortunate that story made such an impression that Brad has used it twice. And both times, the victim is somehow at fault. Just gross.

2. Luna knows Poppy takes strong mints. How is it that Luna became that drugged out, while Poppy seems to pop them with no impairment? Have they shown any scenes where Poppy also is drugged out?

3. I don't suppose the coroner noted obvious plastic surgery on *Sheila* or DNA or toes.

4. Will the traditionally March Madness Wednesday cliffhanger involve Sheila? Yeah, that's rhetorical.

5. Will B&B bring up Ally's 'mur-dah' and when Steffy shot Sheila in the hotel room? B&B writing has to move away from characters either being good or evil. The way they dismissed Taylor's premeditated shooting of $B or her role in the baby snatching is ludicrous - 'Taylor, that's not who you are!' Yes, Taylor that is exactly who you are once Bradley decided to destroy her character.

6. B&B is so frustrating because they just burn through stories and characters so fast and skip so many beats. What's odd is that B&B has no reason to do this.  What was the darned rush to *kill* off Sheila? Couldn't they have at least worked in even two scenes a week for the past two months? Or more scenes with Sheila bonding with Finn?

    • This is just a guess but I feel like the fact that they keep mentioning her dead husband is for a reason. We know Martin has a secret that likely involved someone dying. Martin's victim could be Alan which Leslie/Dana either knows about or finds out and she uses that to blackmail the family into letting her crimes slide.
    • Just thinking how the Ruth/Leticia guest spot really cemented how Days had changed. Stunt casting with a campy/comedy character in a 'wacky' storyline was something that a few years previously would have been completely out of place on Days (and most other soaps for that matter).
    • I am interested to see how they handle Leslie/Dana down the road. If she continues in this path, it would be unrealistic to have her around. Like other shows have done this with a 'villian' character and ended up with people looking stupid putting up with someone they detest. Another thought-could they be building up to a murder story? Maybe Les/Dan will be left in a coma and we will have a whodunit with several characters as suspect. It would also be a chance to redeem her I wonder how long the show will go w/o resorting to soap cliche stories-twins,switched at birth, murder mystery, long lost child etc
    • Yeah, Martin really did make me laugh when him and Smitty jumped up to drag Leslie out. I am interested in seeing how this fallout will impact his storyline as well. Especially since he is so protective regarding his family/family's image. I am interested in seeing how he will interact with Eva for the time being, they did have a warmer interaction earlier on once they met. But he seems to have doubts about her possibly being Ted's right now. I wonder how long it might take for him to come around with her. I could see the younger generation warming up to her quicker than the older ones. Though of course I think there will be anger/tension for a while regarding the reveal and her role in it. Perhaps Naomi/Chelsea will ease up on Eva first then eventually Martin/Kat might down the line. I really do love Nicole. I'm glad that DD is playing her. She really is the heart of the family and also agree the show. She is so easy to root for and I'm looking forward to seeing how things work out for her. I am enjoying the development of most of the characters on this show. I enjoy most of them including Bill with his trifling self lol. I do feel that Bill's love for his daughters is genuine and that gives him some depth. A few of the characters I don't care for that much (like Bill, Ashley, Vanessa). I wasn't too big on Andre at first, but I am warming up more to him as the actor is settling into the role. I like most of the characters on this show. Also, I am interested in seeing what happens if Eva indeed goes and lives with the new doctor that was introduced. I could see this adding another layer to her story, maybe she will become more vixen-ish, on what type of relationship they end up having. And/or maybe she will end up becoming more hardened as she deals with being an outcast, especially if she falls out with Leslie as well. I think that AM will do a good job of showcasing the different layers of this character as she deals with the fallout of the affair/paternity reveal.

Got another sad news from the Bahamian community (not a celebrity)  https://www.instagram.com/p/DJMSrYCgyes/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Former Bahamian Senate President J Henry Bostwick, Husband of former 1st Bahamian Female Cabinet Minister Dame Janet Bostwick is dead yesterday on his 86th birthday.    Thanks and for those who've aren't familiar with the talk shows in The Bahamas on this thread here, his talk show named The Freedom March with Dr Rodney Moncur that airs on ILTV and The Beat 103.5 FM Nassau every weekday afternoons. IIRC, he suffered a illness before he died.  Here's the link for his final taping of the show before his death: https://ewnews.com/this-is-powerful-rodney-moncurs-final-sign-off/

    • One thing I thought about is if Hayley will have a reaction to Bill threatening to kidnap and sell a baby. That's another level of viciousness and with her just having thought she was pregnant it might make her feel some type of way.
    • You're welcome. Fall 1982-Spring 1985 was the peak of primetime soaps. What a time to have been alive.
    • 1990/91 Cheers, Roseanne, A Different World, The Cosby Show, Empty Nest, The Golden Girls were still Top 10 shows, and Murphy Brown and Designing Women became Top 10 shows. It was the following season that I think was the transition season for sitcoms.
