Don't tell me we will be getting a steady dose of stupid Tess now. I truly hope she will be just like Esther and rarely be seen managing the restaurant.

But since they have all but eliminated all of Sharon's family AND SHARON, I bet we won't hardly get a glimpse of Mariah in the near future. Which btw is fine by me. Although I would much rather see Mariah on my screen that the horrid Tess. Can't stand her.

Just when I think I’m done with Tucker/Ashley they pull me back in. I’m very curious where this is headed now.

The Ashley/Audra brief scene was delicious as well.

I will continue to appreciate that the Nate/Audra friendship is still acknowledged and showcased. I liked when it seemed like they may go there with them.

Yesterday's episode was better than today's.

I'm already bored with Gaskill. They should've hired someone else if his character was going to work opposite powerhouses MTS and CZ.

OMG!!! I think you guys are right!!! How ED played this last scene between Ashley and Jack. The looks. The body language. The very inflection in her voice. I'm surprised Jack didn't catch it tbh. But yeeeeah, split personality of some sort.

Team Devon/Nate over Billy. I loved they saw right through what Billy was doing. Because Jill hasn't had a problem before now. So it's just about Billy's own me-me-me issues.

Yes, I'm happy to see Jordan. But I love some Colleen. And so far, so crafty.

Same. I love the scene I saw where Ashley threw her...hmm ho-ness in her face. And look forward to more.

I am so over Ashley. They better not be switching her back and forth from one day a simpering twit who is yelling at herself alone on the couch, to sexy, flirtatious Ashley who's coming on strong to Tucker.

I have NOT enjoyed ED as Susan Banks/Kristen DiMera and I won't enjoy this either. Eileen has great range, but these two character traits are straight outta DOOL.

And what's up with Nate's left eyebrow? Is it a scar? It is shaved like that on purpose? It's distracting af.

I heard about that. I wasn't regularly viewing then.

I really don't want to see it though I am sure Eileen will totally knock it out of the park. Just the hint in the scene I watched. Don't get me wrong it WAS subtle enough, but ED did enough the audience was sure to notice. Yet at the same time, it still feels like to me Jack SHOULD have noticed. But perhaps that is just a testimony to how excellent Eileen is that there was so many ways to take that scene. For me at least.

I admit that I'm wondering this myself. Cuz during the strike...the writing funnily enough was more...if not cohesive then actually well paced. Since the end of the strike, there's just such a scattershot feel to everything. Stories having a pace, then dropped, or even vanished. Then they pop up again. Or stories that were interesting and going somewhere happening off-screen...to have a random cameo in an episode weeks later.

Heck there was a time there where everyone NOT NAMED Newman had a story. And then the Newmans got a story along with them, but it didn't overshadow the other stories at all.

I do wonder what happened.

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
