I do think public figures deserve privacy, but I don't think that applies to something like weight loss. If an actor loses 50 lbs., are we not supposed to comment on it in the name of privacy? If an actor gets a full-sleeve tattoo, is that too private to talk about? If a singer shows up at an NFL game to support her boyfriend, does she deserve privacy and no cameras on her?

None of these are violations of privacy.

I concur.  And there's clearly a difference between people talking about their reactions on a public forum, versus attacking or critiquing the actors directly on social media.

In this case, we've seen this woman in the media for decades, and it is only natural to have a response to the extreme changes that have occurred over time.

I would be mortified to be compared to images of myself twenty years ago, but I have not chosen a profession that commodifies my appearance.

This Eva LaRue stuff today feels different, there’s more depth and texture. Even if they’ve rushed into an outing real quick and I don't particularly have any deep connection to Blaze lol. I think some of the Spixie lines are sharper too.

I would write off Willow immediately, but I truly don't think KM is the problem.  She was boxed in with Michael and it's so effing boring I can't take her and her boring kids.

I honestly like Spixie.  I find both Maxie and Spinelli annoying on their own, but I think they are kind of cute as a couple.

Oh, yeah, their break up was obnoxious.  But Maxie was doing things like sleeping with James Franco just because.  I still think BA and KS work well together and it's a cute dream that Spinelli can bag someone like Maxie.   I mean I know Maxie has fallen so far and isn't much of a catch anymore with her brood and financial difficulties, but it's the only Maxie pairing I have enjoyed.

To me, the recent focus on Spinelli, a character who has outgrown his charm, feels like putting the pieces in place for Jason's return.  Everyone on the canvas is being reset to where they were when Jason was relevant.  Sonny is single, Spinelli is on his own, Drew and Sam are arguing.  It all feels very deliberate.  But the regression of characters is rarely popular.

I have noticed this, too, and seen several other people posting to this effect. And, Carly & Drew, it's totally obvious that they are all BUT broken up. So, one day next week, I think they will cut the cord. Sam's been preoccupied with Jason. Her scene with Liz & her scene with Danny.

One thing about Jason's TBI was it left him almost always compartmentalizing. So I think when Carly & Sonny got together, he put certain feelings for Carly in a box & threw away the key. When Sonny died I think he got that box out & opened it up & we saw him almost have a real relationship with Carly. Not just loyal friend. So I wonder if that box isn't still open. I guess we'll see.

I think there were other unique options for Maxie in the past (like buttoned-up younger man Michael as sort of another comic pairing, that was my pipe dream once upon a time) but that was long ago. I agree none of her other pairings have ever worked. Nathan was painful, I have no idea how he lasted so long or gave her another kid let alone Heinrich giving her one too.

I really liked Spixie once upon a time but I preferred when he had evolved past her and moved on with Ellie. Still, I have no objection to them back together provided they do mature and uh, preferably leave the show for a few years lol. I think they're both spent and need a long break.

I did actually like Ellie and Spinelli.  The actress who played Ellie was delightful.  I want to stab myself in the eyeball thinking about the times Spinelli ran around calling Brenda the "Divine One" and did yoga with her, but I do think Spinelli has matured and seems less ADHD and more focused.

    • Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to grab the episode. I had a quick review of your rip because I was curious why it was 700MB and 30 minutes. The first 10 minutes of the episode is 3169 (opening credits at 5 minutes and again at 15 minutes). The full HD version of ep.3170 is on YouTube channel:

    • Well, since I'm still up unexpected past my growing-into-it bedtime. lol.   I finally got to rewatch Monday's. I even rewatched Friday's to take it all in. Now that we got the reveal and hit the climax of the SilkPress Sheila storyline, now we get to watch the aftermath and/or turns that come with its climax. So far, so good. Friday left us with three cliffhangers. And what I found surprising was how I felt about them over a rewatch.    I know some of you all felt a way about the dialogue during Kat vs Eva. I remember liking it more the first time around and it was nice for them to have these scenes to establish more of a frenemy vibe for them going forward. That still held up. But I found myself agreeing with you all about that dialogue. lol. Still, it was nice to have both of their POVs.   Second up was Silk Press Sheila vs the Duprees. And I was happy to get a brief spat with Dani in there. But the rest standouts for me was Anita and Martin. Haters can hate and given the tail end of the episode, I will agree to a fault, but Brandon has impressed and he was on fire on Monday and had great subtle work on Friday. And that subtle work made it all the better. Like I believe I said when I was watching...BC has a much better grip on his character and seems to be realizing what his tics are so has started to be able to know when to turn it up and when to dial it down. And for the most part (emphasis on most), he got that. Meanwhile, TT was giving fierceness, and I was here for every minute of it. Her reading SilkPress. Her being quip about it. Her 'BE STILL.' Ooooo she had a chokehold on me as Anita gave what I was expecting her to SilkPress. WORTH THE WAIT. I also loved Vernon's CHOOSE SILENCE. I wonder though if SilkPress will figure out Martin's condition from her observing Anita and Vernon with him.   And speaking of worth it...Oooo YES Nicole vs Ted was worth totally worth it. Oooooo I knew DD would nail it, and it was all so well done. The fight between the part of Nicole who is a therapist vs Nicole as a woman who wants to express how she feels. And being so angry. And how there would be moments when it would shoot out of her. And how she would restrain herself. But how she felt she should not be restrain. Just the levels of processing and layers. And DD played it all so well. I do wish Maurice gave just a little bit more, but overall, I thought he did a good job even if it was just Ted coming across as a deadbeat and not at all redeemable. And Kat being there for her mother was so beautiful.   Minority, but I love the montage though yes, it did run a little long. Given how the Duprees like to bond (and also as I mentioned from my own very recent family experiences), it did not seem out of place to me.     That said...let's see how the aftermath worked in today's episode. Overall. Cuz RC can be hit or miss.
    • I wonder whose brilliant (

) idea it was to do an almost complete rip-off of the "who killed Tom King"-storyline. That's some quality style writing right there.....
    • The show is done. It got canceled at the end of January. https://www.soapoperanetwork.com/2025/02/fox-first-run-cancels-dish-nation-person-place-or-thing-pictionary-759232
    • I believe it. ESPECIALLY that last one.
