Darrin Brooks was just on Michael Fairman campaigning for the role of Lucky..

Someone should tell him that neither Frank nor ABCD likes it when people talk about roles that way.

No. Not a hard no if we couldn’t get JJ back at all but still no.

I remember JJ saying he would’ve renewed his contract during his second series regular run but when he asked JFP for a break on the heavy emotional material she wouldn’t budge. She loved chasing the great actors off by working them to the bone, SJB gave a similar story to MB on his podcast when talking about her Carly exit

This morning I exchanged messages with one of the writers who were on the GL writing team with PM. She said she will love him forever & that he is brilliant & funny & he gives his all to both character & to story. She also said GH is lucky.

Is that writer the equally fabulous Courtney Simon? She’s the only one I know still active and answering fan questions on social media.

Yew tawking to me? If so, no, it wasn't the delightful Courtney Sherman Simon although I could've messaged her. It was the other Nancy, not Curlee, but Williams Watt. I also have messaged with MVJ but everyone knows she & PM are besties who speak daily.

Ah, yes, Williams Watt was an excellent Script Editor during those years at GL. She would be intimately familiar with his work. From my earlier post - she and PM were actually Co-HWs at GL for a very short time after Curlee departed.

Darn, I wish I'd known that this morning. But, it's okay, we talk from time to time & she sent me a picture of her that I treasure. When you see what is in the background you'll know why.

It was such a waste. He was dedicated to the show. He was also unhappy with the direction of his story under Guza; castigating Elizabeth, fighting drugs, the Siobhan saga, etc.

I want Darin back as Max on Days. I think that’s most likely.

Take Greg Vaughan back…I don’t like his portrayal of Eric Brady.

And, BTW, Carolyn Culliton is active, even moreso since they retired, on Twitter. (Technically UglyX)
