Poor Jo on SFT lost Keith, Arthur and Tony. Penny on ATWT was widowed twice in the space of 5 years- Jeff and Neil. Malachy Fisher - 2nd husband (the love of her life, IMO). Accidently killed in an explosion walking by the restaurant Il Gnosh caused by Dom Reilly and orchestrated by Warren Fox. Dr. Paul Browning - 3rd husband. Killed in self-defense with a shovel by Mercedes. Lindsey Butterfield and Cindy Cunningham helped cover it up. Mercedes also had a one night stand with his son, Alex Browning. Paul killed Lynsey Nolan and Clare Devine. Sylver McQueen - 5th husband. Her adopted cousin and first love. Killed in an explosion caused by a gas oven with a faulty seal at the Salon de Thé de Marnie. Bobby McQueen, her son, being a factor by not telling people where he was. Killed Breda McQueen in self-defense with a pair of knitting needles while she was trying to kill Mercedes. The rest of her exes who have met their maker ... Rhys Ashworth - Dated. Died when a stolen and faulty mini bus driven by Maddie Morrison crashed into the double wedding of Ste Hay and Doug Carter and Tony Hutchinson and Cindy Cunnigham. Bus crash victims also included Maddie Morrison, Neil Cooper, and Martin 'Jono' Johnson. Calvin Valentine - Affair. Shot by Theresa McQueen during his wedding dance to Carmel McQueen for sleeping with her and then making her get an abortion when she got pregnant. Riley Costello - Ex-fiancé. Shot during a scuffle between Brendan Brady and Simon Walker. Carl Costello - Affair. Another victim of serial killer Breda McQueen. Trevor Royle - Affair. Stabbed by Nico Blake, daughter of Sienna Blake, for potentially breaking up her mother's relationship with Ben Bradley because of his affair with Sienna. Killed Richie Trent and was said to have killed previously prior to coming to Hollyoaks. Joe Roscoe - Fiancé. Fell from a ferris wheel where he was purposely trapped by Joanne Cardsley, who was obsessed with him. Lockie Campbell - Affair. Murdered by his serial killer brother Cameron Campbell. Cameron kept him locked up after an argument about Cameron being responsible for the deaths of Danny and Sam Lomax. Escaping, Cameron framed Lockie for attempting to burn down the Lomax home and forced him to tell everyone he was leaving town. His body was dumped in a lake. Ryan Knight. Affair. Drowned after falling into a river during a fight with Harry Thompson. Killed Amy Barnes and Geoff Thorpe. Liam Donovan - Affair. Pushed down a flight of stairs by his sister Grace Black in defense of Mercedes. Killed drug dealer Jay Johnson. In addition, Mercedes' son with Riley Costello, Bobby Costello, left Sylver for dead, and killed Silas Blisset and Verity Hutchinson. Mercedes also had a stillborn son with Joe Roscoe, Gabriel, and has had two abortions. Her first, after an affair with Tony Hutchinson, who was with her sister Jacqui McQueen. Her second with the potential fathers being Sylver McQueen or Liam Donovan. She's also faked her own death. So has her mother, Myra McQueen. Not to mention her dead family members: Sisters (Tina and Carmel), adoptive niece (Phoebe), and cousins (Celine, Bart). First husband Jackie Merrick accidentally shot himself while out hunting a fox. Second husband Chris Tate was paralyzed from the waist down when a plane crashed over the village. (He later committed suicide while terminally ill to frame his then wife Charity for his murder, but he and Kathy had long been divorced by then) Third husband Dave Glover died from smoke inhalation a month or so into their marriage while saving his lover's newborn child (which he thought was his, but it later turned out not to be true) Later boyfriend Graham Clark, who unbeknownst to Kathy had murdered her best friend Rachel, died after his car went over a cliff after fighting with Kathy when she found out the truth.
