Michelle Stafford (along with Finola Hughes) was on Pacific Palisades and did a few guest spots between her first couple of Y&R stints.

Vanessa Marcil slipped in stints on BH90210 and her leading part on Las Vegas during her breaks from GH.

Today someone tried to convince me that Melissa Claire Eagan & Michelle Stafford split the vote & that's how Jaqueline MacInnes Wood won her 3rd statue. Could easily have been. I have long believed that Victoria Wyndham & Beverlee McKinsey split the vote, allowing Irene Daily to win the Best Actress Emmy! (And then VW & Bev went to the nearest place that served liquor & proceeded to get drunk together, they were so disgusted.)

Per usual, the thread gets derailed by the board spammer. This was not about splitting votes.

1. The show's producers tapped Beatrice Straight to play on the "Villains" side, merely because they needed a fifth member there and did not know of anyone else who could fill that slot.  (Otherwise, I would hardly label her one scene role on "Network" as villainous, lol.)

Beatrice Straight actually was playing a villain at the time, sort of the poor man's Jane Wyman, on King's Crossing.

Cynthia Watros. I'm really surprised she hasn't found another primetime role. The DUI issues she had during her Lost year seemed to have tarnished her once rising star.

Richard Hatch made his mark as Phillip on AMC. He left for primetime and scored two series 'Streets of San Francisco' and 'Battlestar Galactica' before going the primetime guest shot route thru the 80's and then returning to soaps on Santa Barbara. After that it was pretty much low budget stuff-movies,direct to video etc

And then Richard Hatch came back again to play yet another role in Battlestar Galactica the reboot!

Got her start in Secret Storm amd Love Is A Many Splendored Thing. Then Play Misty For Me , flop sitcom The Good Life, a slew of guest spots and pilots throughout the 70's before Knots Landing, TV movies etc before landing back on soaps with GH in 2014.

Debbie Morgan - Loving Pilot, All My Children, Generations, some guest gigs during/in between, Loving/The City, A motion picture Eve’s Bayou, Port Charles, a few more motion pictures and guest stints and back to All My Children. She pretty much was established prior to Daytime.

I truly believe she loves working in daytime.

Wasn't she on an episode of "What's Happening!!"?  And then, of course, she was on "Roots: the Next Generations" with Brian Stokes Mitchell; as well as on "A Different World" years later, as the woman who caused Dwayne and Whitley not to go through with their initial wedding plans.

And a long arc on OG Charmed which also often had Finola Hughes & James Read. Oh, yeah, and, Wes Ramsey.

Yes, that’s why I said guest gigs cause I wasn’t going to list her whole resume.

Danny Cosgrove was one of the actors marked as going places early in his AMC run. He was part of the hunk invasion all over the soap mags (Tanner, Jake, and new Scotty). Though his character was basically a side player on AMC, it’s positioned him to get a few teen movie roles and the 90210 gig, back when an Aaron Spelling placement still meant something! Of course, he bounced back to Guiding Light, and had consistent daytime work. I think his days run was so underrated, except for the dumb move of making him a villain when he really had great long term appeal with Hope

From These Roots,Edge of Night and his very popular stint as Sam on SFT. From 1970 it was guest spots until he landed Soap in 77. Following that he worked in primetime until a return to soaps with stints on SB 1990 and Days 1997.

Daytime's version of Ted McGinley. Just kidding... sort of.

After making a splash as Hope on Days she left for primetime. Falcon Crest, guest spots and that awful syndicated series Love Stories. Then back to Days for the rest of her career.
