I wonder what they'll call the new, merged platform.  "HuDis"?

I read that as "Who Dis" 🤣

Oops, lol.

I'm not surprised that Hulu and Disney+ will merge.  There are just too many streaming options out there; they need to consolidate where they can.

I understand Hulu and ESPN+ will remain standalone services but will also be available as a hub within Disney+, similar to Disney+Hot Star in India. Essentially, the programming from all three will merge into one app, likely still called Disney+.

I have Hulu with Disney + at a discounted price right now. I dunno know if I will stay subscribed, but it depends on the price of the new app

I'm indifferent to this change, but it makes sense especially if Paramount+ is doing this with Showtime.

So, the dream of an a la carte media menu is devolving back to the cable model of 2-3 large companies competing for a mass audience?

I think Preston Beckman, a.k.a. "The Masked Programmer," said it best: television always regresses to the mean.
