But he had sex with Steve's daughter, and now he has sex with Jack's daughter. Anjelica is Alex's biomother but she gave him to Adrienne to raise. And even if you considered Alex to be Anjelica's son ... Anjelica raised Jack- he was her stepson but he raised him as her own. So from the Adrienne connection, Alex is Gwen's cousin.
