OMG. That's it. I've HAD it, lol! Who is writing this nonsense? I swear, it's like the breakdown writers are all together in a room before they decide to order food for their lunch break. One breakdown writer goes, "Make sure they give me a side of mayonaisse for my fries!" while the other writer is adament on having three packets of oyster crackers for their soup. And then they're all like, "Hey! Let's write that in the script!"

And this is the show that has won an Emmy for Best Writing? How is this even possible? Hahaha! I do love it though because it's terrible and cheesy. Even today, the sour cream or butter scooper was pure gold. Aces across the board.

It is ironic that yesterday on GH Molly recused herself from Liz's case because Nikolas is her cousin, but today on DAYS Rafe is interrogating his brother-in-law for a crime that he admits he committed in order to maintain his relationship with Rafe's sister.  Which once again begs the question - Where's Jada?

And how can a rookie cop on the Salem PD afford an apartment when the head of IT at Dimera needs three roommates?  The housing crisis in Salem is nuts.

Also, does someone in Wendy's department maintain the cryo-pods?

Yeah, the housing stuff is so terrible. In a way, the housing reminds me of how Victor always seems to throw Titan Enterprises to the first person he sees. Seriously. No grown ass upcoming doctor or an IT Specialist needs a roommate. What's worse is that you have a newlywed couple who seem to be important honchos at Dimera Enterprises. Yet, they can't afford a home? Instead, live with Wendy? Let me tell you something. If I were getting married, I wouldn't be having that stupid sh*t. Cuz, I'm about to have some serious words.

Is that an eye freckle on Remington Hoffman? It's so cute.

So silly but in today's version of silly it was also unpleasant. I have always thought that they should lose the actor (and I use that term loosely) who plays Li! I have no opinion about Stefan. Wouldn't fight for him or 'agin him. But I'd like to keep Brady & Chloe & Gabi. It's not their fault they were assigned scenes with Stefan or Li!

Haha! Maybe Remy doesn't care, lol! He just gets his script, laughs inside, and looks forward to his future endeavors. Who knows?

But, that eye freckle is really cute. I wish I had one. Well no, not really. It is cute though.

Lol!  The other day Gabi was saying Li was like the worst and she hated him or whatever and he smiled back at her and then delivered his lines.  That was not an appropriate response for a human being let alone someone trying to act.

I have gotten used to Chandler's smirking because he can generally act otherwise and it seems like a weird tic he has.  Remington Hoffman is just very wooden all the time.  Perhaps he's just happy he's employed and that's why he smiling?

@Noel I can rarely tell when you are being sarcastic or not.
This is not a criticism of you personally, Because it's not just you - I often have determining in general - with *many* people - if they being sarcastic or not.   I simply have no idea. Also I am somewhat linear person and I don't get a lot of jokes and I miss a *lot* of things.
So for missing sarcasm and jokes -- the problem is *me*.

But I have to ask: I have no idea why you keep commenting on the clam chowder.  Is it a joke?

I have not paid attention to which SON members regularly watch what soap, and who is new to what soap. This is a genuine *sincere* question and not a slam. Are you new to Days?

Were you aware that clam chowder has been a staple of the Brady Pub for many decades? And the reason is because the Brady family was introduced
running the Brady Fish Market.
After a fire and other changes, they opened the Brady Pub, but continued serving their famous clam chowder.  Questioning clam chowder at the Brady Pub which is run by one of the show's main families ...  would be like asking why coffee shop patrons enjoy coffee.  Or if it was a show where one of the main families ran a famous vineyard, asking why characters are discussing wine.

So that's why I'm confused why you keep commenting about when characters mention chowder.

Until halfway through today's episode, Rolf had been working nearly 24 hours straight on Stefan,
in the Brady-family-owned building that has the pub downstairs and bedrooms upstairs.  Specifically they were working in the room upstairs where Eric lives.  Eric convinced Rolf to come to Eric's room to do the procedure.  Rolf knows the world-famous chowder is made downstairs, so he asked for some. Simple as that.

Please forgive me if I am filling my post with random facts. It's not intended as instruction or critique. It's just my speaking style.

All of that being said ...

Sloan disliking clam chowder is apparently some weird character thing the writers inserted - because everyone for decades in Salem has loved Brady chowder.  So she's different and nobody is used to her.  I agree that it's a very stupid plot device for her, LOL.

It's another stupid thing that Brady&Eric would make Rolf work 24 hours with few breaks.  And they'd let him eat only after he finished.  But it makes sense that Rolf would ask for the chowder, because he's hungry, and everyone in Salem has loved it (except for Sloan who is her own person, LOL).  What's really awful is everything Brady is doing to Stefan.

For real. Leslie is going to lock her up in a basement
    • It is amazing how everyone in GC just swaps partners and is instantly in love and their previous relationship never happened. All while everyone’s exes live in the same town and go to the exact same 4 places as each other.
    • No to Andre/Ashley. I'm not sensing any connection. Kat is playing a dangerous game going against Silk Press Sheila.
    • Today was definite a good episode day with surprising 1:1 scenes between Bill/Silk Press Sheila & SPS/Kat.  And the final long scene between SPS/Kat with the close ups and cliffhanger reminds me so much of old school P & G/Bell soaps. It fits since Judy Tate (script writer) wrote for P & G soaps for years and Zimmerman (breakdown writer) worked on both Bell soaps. I even liked the Ashley/Derek scenes only because it feels as if there is a point to the scenes (lead up to a break up perhaps).  Andre/Ashley having a scene tells me that the show is still testing them out.. and I think showing the growing disconnect between Derek/Ashley will eventually lead to the two possibly dating. NuTed.. he seems more humble and less boastful/confident than the previous Ted.  Perhaps the show felt the previous Ted couldn't play remorse/humble.. and they made the switch.  Time will tell. Lastly... it was a Dani free day

    • Goulet also had an odd way of speaking - very clipped and brisk, like she had just gotten out of a '40s film. She sounded out of breath. She had this on all her soaps. She was a better actress than Tolan and did well enough with Mary's grief over her marriage in her final week or two in the part but had no real spark.  I agree they may have found a better Mary if they had tried harder. For some reason the recasting for the Ryan kids was never what it should have been. I don't know what was going on with Barbie Siobhan. Maybe that was ABC.
    • The finale peaked at 31.1 rating when Katherine hit Bobby with her car.
    • Exactly. And it's not like Stephanie didn't live a life when Hennig played her.  There are so many stories and relationships you can mine from her past.  And we just got......a book and sex with Alex or the random Bobby backstory which no one needed  I trust new writing can get the character back on track.  Like I said, I do think Abigail Klein has charisma.
