Webmaster Errol Posted August 8, 2022 Webmaster Share Posted August 8, 2022 With “The View” wrapping its 25th season last week, the ABC News program reportedly signed co-host Sunny Hostin to a new multi-year deal that would keep her on the daytime talk show through at least the show’s 28th season. Joining “The View” as a co-host in 2016, Variety reports that Hostin’s deal will also include her continuing to appear in special projects for ABC, such as “Soul of a Nation,” and providing commentary on the network’s other flagship news programs like “20/20,” “Good Morning America” and “Nightline.” Hostin joined ABC News as a legal correspondent and analyst in 2016, just a few months before being named a co-host of “The View.” She previously made television appearances on CNN, CourtTV and FOX News, among others. Signing Hostin ensures “The View” will have its ducks in a row during critical news cycles, particularly the 2024 presidential election. Last September, Whoopi Goldberg signed a new multi-year deal, keeping her on the show through Season 28. Joy Behar also signed a new deal in May that will keep her on the show through Season 28. Created by Barbara Walters, “The View” currently ranks as one of daytime television’s most-watched and highest-rated programs, broadcast and syndication alike, often tying or beating the likes of “Dr. Phil,” “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” “TODAY 3rd Hour” and “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna,” among others. Season 26 of “The View” launches in September on ABC. Note: The post Sunny Hostin Signs Multi-Year Deal to Continue as Co-Host of ‘The View’ appeared first on the Soap Opera Network website.
