@xtr great to see your comments again and good to see someone else enjoying.

I feel like at some point Shauna was mentioned. I just can't remember if they said she was still living at the house or if she had moved out.

And I saw in the latest issue of SOD that Darin Brooks has a lot of projects he's working on (I want to say three off the top of my head, one a series for Apple+).

Wyatt and Flo have been in storyline limbo since Fall 2020. They got engaged later on and made a crossover trip to Genoa City related to Sally, but appearance have been scarce. The Flo actress is off contract by now and has not been seen in ages. Darrin Brooks is also off-screen for 99% of the year - and IMO; he is NOT missed at all.

Shauna had a MAJOR storyline with Ridge in 2020, but very little to do afterwards. She kind of fizzled away with Flo in 2021.

Zoe was unlocky in love with both Thomas and Carter. When the latter romance bombed due to his involvement with Quinn, Zoe left town abruptly in July (?) 2021 for a modeling assingment in Paris and never returned.

As for Xander: I actually had to google on his exit because I could not remember at all. Kind of telling what a great character it was. LOL The google search was not that helpful either. So to the best of my knowledge, Xander got fired from Forrester Creations after keeping the babyswitch a secret together with Zoe. Zoe got eventually rehired at FC but Xander just vanished into thin air (as far away as in 2019???) because the show then brought back Zende with a new actor.

Zende is basically a new character with Forrester family ties.  There is nothing about this new version that reminds me of the Rome Flynn era of the role.

Meanwhile last week, I was just amazed to see Paris' mother on a set that wasn't the left office of Forrester where she's always popping in just at the right time. LOL, this story has been told in such a vacuum, up until the wedding day.

@dragonflies you were right!!! THAT was worth the wait. I hope Li is not dead because she beat Sheila's butt and I was here for every moment of it.

I do admit though that I found myself going (and laughing at it) as the car explode...wait...how did that happened?

Another Ken sighting! So I take these are going to be continuing. Sheila is more fun when she has a sidekick to bounce off of.

This week definitely did not feel as coherent as it's been as of late. But I have a lot of stuff going on so I figured that might be the reason I feel this way. If I had a problem, it was the fact that poor Paris has been throw under the bus for Carter/Quinn. I was liking that Quinn was part of the story beat of Carter/Paris/Zende as she should be. But now that it feels like Paris is a placeholder on the road to Carter/Quinn rather than her own person, it just makes me side-eye Carter so hard. I guess Grace really and truly was right.

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
