Steffy has been in a coma since she was hit by a car and *everything* we have seen since then has been a dream/nightmare? That's why Taylor was "recast"? Didn't KA say one of the reasons why she came on was because when she heard what Taylor's story would be she thought it would be fun/interesting? And the recasting would "make sense" etc? So, it's gonna be a Wizard of Oz kind of thing, where Steffy will wake up and KA will be one of the doctors or nurses working on her with Finn? lol

If everything since the motorcycle accident was Steffy's coma dream, then then when she wakes up, they could say that Taylor has been in town ever since Steffy went into the coma, waiting for her to wake up.  That's better than Taylor having missed important chunks of Steffy's life.  They could have planned the coma all along but wanted to have the audience feel K.A. as Taylor for a few months first.  So that when Steffy wakes up and recognizes her mother Taylor, it won't seem weird that to the viewers that she recognizes her.

They could say Steffy's motorcycle accident coma has been going on for whatever length of time they want.

Maybe the accident just happened and nobody including the children have aged in the past two years.

Maybe the accident happened two years ago.  That would mean that whatever has been happening to the Forrester/Spencer/Logan families during that time - is different from what we've been watching onscreen.  Or parts the same and parts different.

But then again, I'm not convinced that Steffy's coma dream is the twist. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.

I really don't want it to be true but I did notice Errol specified daytime.

But maybe then we can get Thomas and Vinny back together after all LOL
And Flo isn't a Logan. But what happens to Sally then? Because we would be getting a twin-named-after-dead-Bobby thing there if Sally discussed at Y&R what happened with Flo which was after Steffy's accident if my memory serves me right.

But at least I am glad I was right that Finn and Steffy's shooting was *obviously* not "the twist" since it is not *a* twist.

I hate the idea but I love all the curveballs this would open up the door for.

If this is a dream from Steffy, this explains why Taylor is such a saint again.
Imagine if all the Steffy/Taylor fandom who were yessing those girls' attack on Brooke the past couple of months are left with Taylor being rewritten again into the slutty mess she was under her latest HT incarnations.

also, a lot of people refer to 2020 as the "lost year" because of covid, so this would take a bit more seriously by deleting 2020-2021. LOL

yeah, I'm talking about the recent one where peeps thought Bill hit her. That's probably why Bill even came back, because he was so heavily involved in Steffy's stories back then. But man, it would be even CRAZIER if they deleted like 10 years of story, and Steffy ain't got no kids, and Thomas never went crazy stalker or raped Caroline, and Taylor never shot Bill/went crazy. Holy crap.

also, when the Finn actor first came on I remember they were hinting at "huge twists" and whatnot even back then...

everything having been a dream wouldn't be a time jump, tho. Like others have said this would be like going backwards. 2 years and some change wouldn't have gone by... they could say Steffy was only in a coma for like a few days/week. LOL

It's just a jump to the left!

But seriously.  I'm getting real sick and tired of soaps playing with time like this.  Time jumps are antithetical to the nature of serialized storytelling, and they're a really lazy way to get yourself out of bad writing, too.

    • I never understood the point of Marchetti. Summer left the show for a job there in Italy. OK. When she returned they had Jack buy the company. Why couldn't Summer have returned and simply stated it was not a good fit, she missed her home , family/friends etc It was absurd that this internationally successful fashion empire could just be bought by a US cosmetics firm at the drop of a hat. What was the point when they never did anything with it at all? Summer simply could have gone to work at Jabot. And wasn't there some nonsense about an offshhoot called Marchetti Home? Was Phyllis attached to that at some point? This show...

    • And based on the previews for today, maybe we’ll, uh, finally see something

    • Haven't seen today's ep yet but so will be interested to see the clothes. So far I think they have been very character specific (even if I don't like some of them eg Kat's cutsie style) Anita is very showy/glittery, Nicole classic elegance, Dani sexy/bold colors etc. Unlike Y&R which seems much more generic. Also BTG pays attention to the men's wardrobe and has developed a style for the boyz-which is harder to do with male fashion. The absence of any of Derek/Ashley at any of these big events again demonstrates how they are in a different universe to the rest of the show. Not that a nurse and a fireman would be there but still they seem destined at this point to stay in their own lane and have little interaction with the core of the show.
    • Agnes had written for Bernard Grant for many years on TGL as well as Ernest Graves and Joe Gallison,Doris Belack,Robert Milli, and  Antony Ponzini at AW. So she would probably gravitate to writing a role with an actor in mind or choosing someone she had written for before who she knew could deliver.
    • Once Johnny Dallas' cut himself off from Laurie Ann Karr and their son, and once Laurie successfully recovered from her mental problems, she wanted a new, fresh, and healthy start for the next chapter of her life. She legally reverted her name and changed John Victor's  surname to Karr. After moving to the country (when Teri  Keane was dropped from the show), Bill and Martha Marceau legally adopted Jennifer, the baby girl whom they had earlier taken in when the child's biological mother, Taffy Simms (and other bio family members) proved to be unfit to raise her. Jennifer legally and emotionally became a Marceau, and gave that name to her own daughter, whom Jennifer birthed through surrogacy as a single parent. Et...voila! The Karr and Marceau legacies live on.

    • BLQ is having second thoughts regarding putting her baby up for adoption. Chase is upset he can't tell Dante. So both are putting this on at lulus feet. Saying she is holding it over them. Lulu is doing none of this.
    • Yes she absolutely was involved in that story which seems to have gone nowhere.  She didn't start to remove herself from the writing until 1973.
    • Y'all are bringing back great memories of AMC 2.0 for me.  I haven't thought about it and the new characters in so long, well since it aired, and I plan to go re-watch it now. When AMC ended, I finally came to peace with it and accepted that I will never watch an hour of a TV show daily in my life again... something that I had been doing since I was 6-7 years old. I was starting a new career, relationship, and chapter in life when AMC 2.0 came out.  I found a way to watch it, but things felt differently for me at the time and when it was so short-lived and gone, it became such a distant memory, sadly.
